Summery: Techno plans to blow up L'manburg again. Only this time your loyalty's got in the between his political agenda and his feelings.

I woke up due to someone shaking me lightly.
"Darling you have to get up." Techno said from next to me.
I smiled to myself at the term of endearment and blinked my eyes open.
My peace was soon broken though due to the sound of Tommy's annoying yelling.
"Y/n wake the fuck up! We have places to be!"
I groaned and hid my face further into Techno's pillow, since Tommy moved in with us this had become my morning routine.
"Tommy shut up, go get your armour I'll get her up." Techno said with a light chuckled.
I could hear Tommy grumbling and when I was sure he'd walked out of the room I turned my face to look at Techno.
We smiled at each other for a second, he brushed my hair out of my face and I blushed lightly. Leaning into his hand and closing my eyes, feeling content.
Our moment of peace was quickly broken by Tommy swearing downstairs.
"Shit! Technoblade! Help!" Tommy yelled up the stairs, a bunch of banging closely following.
I frowned and flopped back down "I love the kid but god can he be annoying." I mumbled to myself, causing Techno to laugh lightly.
"I should go make sure he doesn't burn the cottage down. Get ready, we're leaving for L'manburg soon." He stood up and lent down to kiss my forehead.
I smiled up at him "Are you blowing it up again or something?"
He shook his head and walked over to our wardrobe to grab his cape and clip it over his shoulders.
"No we're just checking it out, we might have to retaliate to something but I won't do that when your there. I'll bring you back first." He fixed his braid in the mirror and smiled at me.
"You know I can fight for myself, you literally taught me how." I smiled back at him and started to get ready.
"Yeah but I still wouldn't put you in a position where you would be in danger." He walked over and pulled me into a quick kiss before walking out the room to go help Tommy.
I finished getting ready, just throwing on one of Technos old jumpers and Wilburs trench coat. Before heading downstairs, ignoring Tommy and Techno's brotherly bickering.
"Ready to go?" Techno asked, hugging me from behind.
I nodded and we all headed outside, climbing on our horses so we could get to L'manburg quicker.

I didn't really know what their motives were but I was just happy to be here, any time spent with Techno was enjoyable.
We met in back in Pogtopia, it seemed like years ago now. I was best friends with Wilbur during his presidency and I followed him to Pogtopia. Eventually getting introduced to his brother.
We started dating shortly after the festival, I've never been happier.
Soon enough we were slowly creeping around L'manburg, hiding in the rooftops and behind trees.
And then before I know it Tommy was running from our hiding place and jumping infront of Dream.
Me and Dream never got along, I was heavily on L'manburg's side in the smp war and we'd never made up after that.
He seemed to be accusing Tommy of blowing something up and both me and Techno jumped into the middle of the argument.
I pushed my way infront of Tommy and stood infront of Dream, glaring up at him.
"Bullying kids again Dream? He's been with me all week, he hasn't done shit." I rolled my eyes as he chuckled at me, just wanting to punch him in the face.
"And why should we trust you? I don't know of you noticed but you seem to be extremely close to all of the of the people that cause destruction around here." He poked me in the chest but before I could get another word in Techo pulled me back.
"Darling I know you've been looking forward to yelling at him but we seem to have an entire country aiming arrows at us right now." He gestured to all of L'manburg that had us surrounded.
I laughed nervously and allowed him to pull me behind him, taking Tommy with me.
Although what I wasn't expecting was for Tommy to walk over to Tubbo.
I frowned to myself, Tubbo seemed nice enough but after hearing about his betrayal towards Tommy I couldn't like him anymore. Then again a child shouldn't be given the pressures of being a president.
They both started yelling at eachother, once the first punch was thrown I had to hold Techno back. Giving him a look.
"It's his battle, if we go help attack the president they'll kill all of us. He knows what he's doing."
He swallowed and nodded. Keeping his hand on his sword though.
What happened next seemed like a blur. Before I knew what was happening Techno was stood at Dreams side and Tommy was at Tubbos.
"You have till three o'clock tomorrow! Then we're blowing this place up, we're going down to bedrock this time. Say your goodbyes because this time tomorrow L'manburg will be gone. Permanently!" Dream yelled at Tommy's face before turning around dramatically and walking away.
Techno didn't move yet though, instead he turned to me. "Y/n come on, we're going,"
I went to walk behind him but I froze, glancing around at all of L'manburg that were stood around me.
As I looked at all of them I couldn't force myself to walk forward.
I turned around to face Tommy who was giving me a pleading look.
"Y/n." Techno said from behind me.
I glanced away from Tommy, unable to hold his eye contact. He'd lost everything so many times. All of his parental and brotherly figures had left him in some way.
I couldn't leave him as well, I was all he had.
I turned back to face Techno again, trying to ignore how everyone was looking at me.
"Tech I'm staying with Tommy, and L'manburg. I fought for it once, I'll fight for it again." I walked over to Tommy's side and tried to ignore the hurt look Techno was giving me.

He didn't even respond to me. Instead he just turned around, his cape flying behind him. He walked after Dream and I just stood, watching him leave.
Once him and Dream had walked away everyone ran over.
Everyone was talking at once and either patting me on the shoulder or glaring at me.
I just tried to stand next to Tommy and let him take control.
Soon enough he excused himself to talk it out with Tubbo.
Before I could get pulled into an argument about how I betrayed everyone by living with Techno for the last couple months I excused myself to go find Ghostbur.
He was one of the only people in L'manburg that I still spoke to. He couldn't remember a lot of our time, especially from the Smp war where we met, or Pogtopia. But he still remembered the good bits and sometimes being around someone who only thinks good of you is the best place you can be.
I walked into his house and we spoke briefly before I started sorting through my enderchest. Picking out my best armour and weapons for tomorrow.
After stressing and trying to strategise for tomorrow I decided it would just be easier to try and sleep now and plan everything in the morning.
Ghostbur let me sleep in his bed since he technically didn't sleep apparently.
It took me a while to drift off since I was stressing out and this was one of the first times I've slept without Techno next to me in months. It felt lonely not having his arms around my waist so I hugged my knees close to comfort myself.
I woke up relatively early the next morning and went looking for supplies for potions.
The last war I was involved in we lost and I was determined to win this one. I had my netherite armour and tools and Techno had taught me combat a couple times so I felt prepared. I just needed some potions.
It took me an hour or two to gather the materials and when I finally did I headed back to Ghostbur's house to start brewing.
I finally finished making enough potions to fill my whole belt when I heard yelling outside.
I glanced at the clock on the wall to see that we still technically had an hour till the war but things seemed to already be kicking off.
I grabbed all my stuff and headed out side to see everyone stood infront of Techno.
"Tech why are you here? We have another hour." I said walking to the front of the group.
"Revolution waits for no man darling." He laughed menacingly and walked backwards.
I pushed Tommy and Tubbo behind me slightly, I couldn't help but be protective over them considering they were children.
Techno seemed to be walking towards a small soul sand tower and I looked at him confused for a second before it all clicked.
I turned to the group behind me and shooed them all off quickly "Run!"
There was a loud bang and shifting noise from behind me and everyone started running in different directions to try and get away from the wither monster that techno had summoned.
I pulled Tommy and Tubbo with me towards the back of L'manburg and as far away from the monster as I could.
"What have you guys got on you?" I asked pulling them behind a random building.
"Armour and weapons, that's it." Tommy said and Tubbo nodded in agreement.
I unhooked some health potions from my belt and handed them to the two of them.
"Stay safe okay. Try to stay away and use archery to your advantage. When Dream arrives run as far away from him as you can, if him or Techno have you cornered your best bet is to start talking. Get them to monologue to buy you time. I'll look out for you both as much as I can but I'm going to try and get to Techno. Stay safe." I pulled them both into a little group hug but before either of them could respond the building behind us exploded, breaking our cover.
"Go!" They both ran out to the outskirts of L'manburg as I went towards the action.
I fired a couple arrows up at the monster. Techno had taught me how to tell the health of these things from the pitch of its voice and from what I could tell they'd already gotten it down to half health.
Fundy ran over to fight by my side and we both hid behind a small wall for protection while firing up at this thing.
Other people seemed to be attacking from other areas and after non stop long distant combat the bastard finally died.
Fundy pulled me into a celebratory hug. We both knew this was far from over but it was a win none the less.
Suddenly the group began to shake slightly and I looked at him confused. Suddenly there was a loud bang and I was sent flying back into a house.
I laid on the floor with my eyes closed for a second, my ears were ringing and I couldn't comprehend what was happening.
Ash and embers fell around me and it seemed kinda peaceful for a second before I slowly opened my eyes to see explosions all around me.
I staggered up, trying to hold my own weight again. I held onto my stomach and looked down at myself.
I wasn't badly injured. Just bruised and shocked.
I glanced around to see Tommy pushed up against the wall with Dreams blade pressed up against his neck.
He seemed to be taking my advice and trying to buy himself time by talking. Although there was no where he could go.
I started running, the ache in my stomach disappearing as I went.
I knew what I was about to do was reckless but with the ringing in the back of my head and the numbing pain everywhere this was the only plan I could think of.
I ran up behind Dream and jumped onto his back, pulling him towards the floor and using my thighs to rotate myself so I ended up ontop of him on the floor.
"What the fuck!"
His blade fell out of his hand and Tommy smiled at me before running off.
Dream started to push me to get me off him but I used all my weight to hold him down.
We both scrambled on the floor, him attempting to flip us over so he had the advantage and me trying to hold his arms down so he couldn't fight me off.
Suddenly someone pulled my up by my waist, pushing me up against a wall before I could react.
I looked up to be met with Technos eyes. I tried to push him off me but suddenly I felt a cold mental being pushed up against my throat.
I glanced down to see his sword holding me against the wall and I laughed lightly, unsure how to react.
"Why are you doing this, I thought it was me and you against the world." Techno said, trying to keep up the tough guy act but from how close our faces were I could see the sadness in his eyes.
"You think I wanna be here! You think I want to be hurt! Or being pinned against a wall by my boyfriend who's holding a blade to my throat?" I tried to push his sword away but he just held it closer.
My breath hitched slightly and I looked down to avoid his eye contact.
"What you scared of me now?" He asked laughing sarcastically, his monotone tone making it sound harsher.
"Well your holding a literal blade to my throat so a bit,"
"You were the only one Y/n. The only one who didn't see me as the Blade. I trusted you. I thought you'd follow me anywhere, but you betrayed me! I'm not the bad guy here. You left me." It was his turn to avoid eye contact.
"What was I supposed to do! Turn a blind eye and let you destroy this country! Tommy and Tubbo are kids! You can't put them through this again, I'm not going to just allow you to hurt all of these people." I put my hand on his arm and he didn't brush it off. Which was good I guess.
"They all hurt me! I was prepared to die for Tommy! Multiple times! But was he never there for me!"
"He's a child!"
"It doesn't matter! None of them were there for me! I'm a weapon to them. They exiled my brothers! Drove Wilbur mad! Forced my Dad to kill his own son and then they tried to kill me! They made me a criminal and sent an army to kill me in my own home! They wouldn't even let me protect you! How can I support a government that never even tried to support me!" His eyes started to water and he clenched his jaw to try and prevent tears.
The braid I'd put in his hair had come undone and the closer I looked at him the more exhausted he seemed.
"Tech..."
"I'm so tired Y/n. I wanted to stop it, the violence, the fighting, the wars. But they sent an army to our house with you inside. They took everything from me. My family. My safety. My home. Now you, do you blame me for wanting them gone." He lowered his sword slightly but still held it close enough for me to be unable to move.
"Schlatt is the reason we lost Wilbur. And if it wasn't for Pogtopia we would've never met. So in some sick way without Wilburs decent into madness we wouldn't have eachother. And you can't hurt all these people because some of them hurt you. They've all been through so much, please just step down." His sword pushed up against my throat again before moving away and then going back again.
I could see how conflicted he was and I placed a hand onto his cheek. He lent his head into my touch slightly and closed his eyes.
Suddenly a huge bang went off next to us, he shielded me with his body as we both went flying. He dropped his sword as we fell, cutting my cheek slightly with the sudden movement.
My head would've smashed straight into a rock bellow us if he wasn't cradling it with his hand.
My eyes started to water again as the shock went through me again.
I felt Techno's kiss my forehead lightly and he stood up, picking me up and taking me with him.
I could barely hear him due to the ringing in my ears but I could make out him saying something along the lines of 'we're leaving'
I shook my head frantically, causing my headache to worsen, and I tried to scramble out of his arms.
"I can't leave. I can't leave them in danger." I drank the only healing potion I had that hadn't shattered.
I winced slightly at the disgusting taste but the ringing in my ears and head stopped. My legs seemed to feel stronger as well and I tried to run in the direction I saw Tommy go when I got Dream off him.
I couldn't make it that far before Techno pulled me back. "Y/n we're leaving now. Your going to get hurt!"
"Your brother and nephew are in there, along with all our friends. I'm not leaving till their safe." I struggled in his arms to try and get back into the action but he just sighed.
He let go of me and ran ahead. Firing arrows at the Wither monsters in the sky. He quickly defeated both of them and sprinted over to Dream, leaving me stood there stunned.
Everything seemed to be quiet, no more explosions or injuries.
"Y/n over here!" I heard Tommy yell from the other side of the rubble that was once L'manburg.
I jogged over to him and pulled him into a hug. I glanced over him for any bad injuries and I sighed out of relief when i noticed he seemed to be fine.
"What's happening now?" He asked, tightening his bandanna as he spoke.
"No idea, I think Techno wants to leave so I guess he's ending things?" I shrugged and sat down on a pile of rubble.
Tommy sat down next to me and we both silently looked around.
Everything was destroyed, this time to the point of no return. L'manburg was gone. People were helping eachother bandage injuries and looking over the area that was once their home, teary eyed and angry.
I held my head in my heads and Tommy rested his head on my shoulder. He was more exhausted than me, he'd been fighting this war for far to long.
Techno walked towards us, his sword back in his belt rather than his hand.
Tommy looked down at the floor, refusing to even look at him.
"It's over. Come on we're leaving." He offered me his hand to help me stand up.
"Are you sure Dream won't do anything else?"
He nodded and I took his hand, pulling myself back onto my feet.
"Tommy if anything happens get Ghostbur to come find me." I said, patting his shoulder.
He nodded and smiled weakly at me.
I smiled back and noticed Techno had already started walking. I followed behind him and caught up to him quickly.
"How'd you get Dream to step down?" I asked, looking up at his face. He was still frowning and looked slightly angry.
"I owe him a favour." He clenched his jaw and looked forward, refusing to meet my eyes.
I just nodded slightly and kept walking. We walked the whole way back to the cottage without talking. He didn't seem to be in a talkative mood.
We both silently walked into our bedroom to get changed. It had been a long day and the walk back took hours without a horse. We were both exhausted.
I climbed into bed and hugged my knees close to my chest, wiping the left over blood from my cheek.
