Summary: Lazy evenings that you wish could last forever.
A/n: This is a bit on the shorter side but I love any Cody Fry song and this one has to be my favourite, I don't usually write song fics because they're kinda awkward to read but I just love the visuals of this song
Warnings: nothing at all, just pure fluff

~~~~~
It's the evening light,
Shining through the curtains.
I felt a small smile adopt my face as I stepped into my bedroom, the sight of Y/n sat in the chair by the window curled up in a ball always made me smile by default.
The time before the night,
When everything is golden.
The golden light from the sun set made her look almost heavenly as her eyes focused on the window, not even realising I was here.
Your sitting on a chair,
Wrapped inside a bedsheet.
I slowly walked over and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, not wanting to startle her.
"Hey." She said with a small smile, eyes still looking out the window as she absentmindedly ran a hand through her hair.
Playing with your hair,
Watching people on the high street.
"Watcha doing?" I asked with a giggle, kissing her head softly.
"People watching, come here." She moved up in the chair slightly, patting the spot next to her.
If I wished myself a superpower,
I would make this moment last for hours.
If I had my will,
Time would just stand still.
Wait for me until I find some magic film,
To take a photograph and live inside.
I sat next to her and let her move my head to her shoulder.
Her hand came up to my hair and combed through it gently.
The sun is going down,
Your skin is like a painting.
I watched her face with a smile as she looked out onto the street, making up story's in her head of the lives of the people she could see.
"Your beautiful." I said before smiling wider as her cheeks warmed up.
Your skin is like a painting,
The light is perfect now.
But I can feel it changing.
"I love you, you really are perfect." I said again, pressing a soft kiss onto her collarbone.
"I love you too."
Kids are probably soon,
Don't get me wrong I'm ready.
I took her hand into mine, the sunset making her engagement ring shine.
But will I know what to do,
When we're no longer two,
When us means more than me and you.
"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, but apart of me wishes we could just stay like this forever. Hiding away in our own world." She said while looking down at my face.
Her eyes sparkling as always.
"Who says we can't spend the rest of our lives together in our own world?"
If I wished myself a superpower,
I would make this moment last for hours.
If I had my will,
Time would just stand still.
Wait for me until I find some magic film,
To take a photograph and live inside.
"Y'know a part of me still doesn't believe your real, I don't know how I found you." She said with a giggle, causing me to squeeze her hand with a blush.
"My friends still don't believe that I have a shot with you, even though we're literally engaged." I replied with a laugh.
I need some way to prove that this was real,
A memory is not enough.
"Hey can I ask you something serious?" I asked while looking down at our hands again.
"Of course love."
I'm scared that I'll forget the way it feels,
To be young,
And in love...
"You'll always love me won't you? We won't be one of those couples that fizzle out? Because I want to feel like this forever." My insecurities mixed with my admiration just made me want to hold onto this moment forever.
I never wanted anything to change.
"I love you more than anything, and nothing with ever make that fizzle out." She kissed my forehand softly after she spoke, giving my hand a loving squeeze.
Let me stay right here,
Just a moment longer.
The sun had almost completely set now but neither of us moved despite the growing darkness.
I looked up at the face again, the new shadows from the darkness just outlining her facial features even more.
The picture is so clear,
Please let this last forever.
We both admired each others complexions for a second more, our smiles mirroring each other.
She lent in to kiss me softly, and in that second any insecurities or negitive thoughts I'd ever had melted away against the softness of her touch.
Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
Pandora's Game
Civilization moves on as time flies by. Humans adapt, changing in good or bad ways. In the 21st Century, mankind has evolved. Expanding in the industrial field, unlocking scientific discoveries, developing more technologies, extending the population of mankind; humanity is doing its own things. But unknowingly, a particular being has other plans to end these advances. Lauren Hook is an antisocial university student with no biological family. She has been adopted from a very young age, taken in by a random couple. Growing up, she has never had a connection with them. Even if they were kind, even when they send her off to a university, she can never truly love them. She is grateful for the food, the clothes, shelter, everything given to her, but she knows that her real parents left a void in her heart. Despite all of this, life was good. She had no trouble fitting in her new life at the university until the world changed. For the worse. Pandora. A beautiful woman. A cruel woman. Gifted by the gods, molded by a god, she is an entity that is loved and feared. Obviously, it may be a myth. Something mortals do not know about. Who is to say that none of it is real? One day, Pandora appears before humanity to change their world into her own toybox. With her box, she plunges the world into chaos. Myths of all kinds appear in the human world, destroying the peaceful days on Earth. The world has changed into a fantasy game where you have to fight for your life. Lauren Hook will survive through it all or die. Note: Story cover was done by me. Took me a while to draw it since I decided to do a different approach from the usual.
