"George you mother fucker! Get your ass over here and give me back my shit!" I yelled into my microphone while chasing George around the SMP with a bow.
Me and George hadn't been friends for long but I'd probably consider him one of my closest friends.
I moved in with Schlatt about a month ago, we'd been dating for over a year and we figured it was about time to stop doing long distance and finally move in together.
Within a week of living together, he'd convinced me to join the SMP and meet all of his friends from there.
Which led me to meeting some of my closest friends, including George.
So as I chased him around laughing my ass off I'd completely forgot that Schlatt was also in the call and just not talking.
"You're going to have to catch me first Y/n!" George laughed and accidentally walked off a cliff. Causing him to die from fall damage, and me to cackle because holy shit that's funny.
I slowly climbed down the cliff and collected his stuff while we both calmed down from laughing.
"You guys done now?" Schlatt said causing me to jump.
"Schlatt I forgot you were here if I'm being completely honest." George said with a little laugh.
I laughed along with him because I had made the same mistake.
"Yeah, I noticed." He then just left the call and game without saying anything else.
"What's up with him?" George said while retrieving his stuff from me.

"No idea, I should probably go as well actually," I said my goodbyes to George and my stream before turning everything off and heading to the living room where Schlatt was sat scrolling through Twitter.
"Hey!" I smiled at him and sat down next to him and resting my head on his shoulder "What ya doing?"
He just shrugged and responded with a quiet "Nothing." Before nudging me off him and walking off into the kitchen.
I sat there for a second confused before hugging my knees to my chest.
What the fuck had I done now?
I sighed and opened my own phone.
I figured if he's pissed off at something I'd let him cool off before talking to him again.
I was debating playing some just dance or something to entertain myself when my phone started ringing.
"George?" I said picking up the phone confused as to why he didn't just text me.
"Y/n you'll never believe what Clay just did."
I smiled and laid down on the sofa listening to him ramble about Clay for a bit.
By the time his story was over I was crying with laughter.
That's when Schlatt walked in the room looking a little less pissed.
He smiled at me before speaking "I'm sorry for shrugging you off earlier, can we talk?"
I nodded and pointed at the phone "George I gotta go I'll talk to you later."
I hung up and turned to Schlatt with a smile "Alright what's up?"
I had no idea what I'd done but he seemed pissed again.
He stood up and started storming towards the stairs.
I looked at the back of his head in confusion before yelling after him.
"What's wrong? just talk to me."
"I don't know, why don't you just ask fucking George!" He closed the door loudly and I stood there for a second.

That's when it clicked.
No way, he's not jealous of George.
I chuckled slightly at how stupid that was, he had nothing to be jealous over.
I walked up the stairs and headed into our bedroom since I assumed that's where he'd be.
I was right, he was lying in bed, angrily staring at the ceiling.
I took a seat next to him and ran my hand through his hair.
"Babe..."
He shrugged me off again and turned around onto his side to face away from me.
"Fucking leave me alone Y/n, you obviously have people you'd rather be talking too."
I sighed and lied down next to him.
I rested my head on his shoulder and kissed his cheek.
He grumbled but didn't move which made me smile slightly.
"Are you jealous of George?"
He sat up with a huff and looked me in the eyes which was scarily intimidating all of a sudden, causing me to shrink under him.
"Of course I am, you completely ignored me for him earlier. He's always calling or texting you and I feel like he makes you happier than I do."
The anger in his face melted into a mix of sadness and insecurity, I pulled him close to me with a sigh.
"Babe George is just a friend, I love you too much to ever look at anyone else in that way."
"Really?"
"Really."
He looked up at me with a little smile and sat up properly.
I smiled back at him and made a shocked little noise as he lent forward to kiss me hard.
After I got over the shock I started kissing him back. He moved his hand from the back of my neck and up into my hair.
I smiled into the kiss knowing that George was long forgotten to him.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.

I'm pretty confident in my ability to read it and understand it but there is a big gap between that and being able to properly write. My grammar being already "not so great" in my own language it makes sense to not expect a flawless one in another one. I'm getting better at it and invite readers to suggest any changes on the matter but if it's a deal-breaker for you you should pass or come back at a later date.Possibly in the future, I will look for someone to help me but if you read those world it's not the case yet.
