"then go to sleep you shithead."
"nahhh"
SMACK!
"Ouch! what the hell man?!"
"you got something to say bitch? I'll go get Akira,
and maybe wake him up while I'm at it."
"wait. didn't he just head to bed like 30 minutes ago?"
"exactly, if I wake him up he'll be pissed and
will definitely ruin your ass."
"I'd gladly let him ruin my ass."
"Dude.... Thats kinda gay."
"Lei, we're both gay."
"touché"
Waking up to your best friend screaming isn't really something you'd want to be woken up to, but being treated to a cup of [coffee or tea, your choice] and breakfast as an apology puts it somewhere in the top ten.
This is what [m/n] was gifted with at 8:23 in the morning. Way too early for someone who went to bed around 5 am. Thankfully & sadly he was used to it, the perks being he was way too tired to care and just wanted to cuddle.
"yoooo..." he murmured smashing his face into Akira's back, distracting himself from the warm omelet waiting for him.
"good morning arashī. Did Lei wake you up again?"
Refusing to let go of the other male, he nodded. "Mmmh."
"do you want to go back to sleep?"
Que another sleepy nod.
Nodding his head as a response, they simply basked in the bliss of the morning before Akira responded.
"Go eat your food, take your meds, and I'll make a cup of tea. Then we can cuddle in the room. Then we can see if Lei wants to go out for ice cream."
Groaning in protest, they released the other, moving to the stool where the forgotten omelet sat.

Diving in, he quickly ate his omelet, not wanting to be in the kitchen a second longer while the offer of cuddles in the room stands.
Gulping down his meds, (with water) [m/n] got up, rewrapped himself around Akira, and waited for his cuddles.
At that current moment he was still in his 'PJs', which consisted of orange boxer briefs, a black oversized T-shirt, and a pair of mix-matched socks, most of which was either stolen from Akira or Leiskls closet.
Happy with the cleanliness of the kitchen, Akira began the process of rerouting [m/n] off his back and towards the 'cuddle room', or the room.
Now finally situated in the room, both Akira and [m/n] subcomed to the calm, and light environment that the room usually contained in the daytime.
Alone, time felt like warm daisies and summer clouds.
Of course that's always until someone comes and breaks it.
Akira sighed. "we'll have to continue this another time, yeah arashī?"
"you always say that." [m/n] complained. Akira sent him a look of guilt. "I promise." he said.
[m/n] shook his head. "don't make promises you can't keep."
Furrowing his eyebrows, the once calm and quiet environment was gone, replaced with guilt, and past mistakes.
- what happened?" Lei's excited, and loud, greeting was cut off by the tension he had unknowingly once again caused. Pausing a moment to try and understand what happened, a sort of sadness took place as Lei realized it was about that.
He might not be able to fix past mistakes, he sure as hell could make sure that no ones moping around when they could be getting milkshakes.
"HEY! Stop all your moping, and let's go get milkshakes!" He shouted, throwing themself onto [m/n], roping Akira into the one sided group hug at the same time.

"Now, you are going to go get dressed," he said, shoving a pointing figure in [m/n]'s direction. "and then we are going to go get some milkshakes, pick up some food, and maybeeeee~ stop by the liquor store."
"Really? the liquor store?" [m/n] said, giving Lei a pointed look.
"what??? You never know when you need a bottle of some hard liquor, and I'm not talking about liquorish! ehe~!" Lei slurred his words, dragging them out as if trying to convince them, even though he is technically an adult and doesn't really need their permission.
"whatever." Was [m/n]'s only reply.
"YES!" Lei cheered, doing one of those thumbs up things.
"Now go get dressed!"
"Going!"
"And take a shower you STANK!"
"Oh you little-"
SLAM!
"you realize you're going to get dragged down this hallway later right?"
"yeah, but it was worth it."
Spoiler Alert!: It really wasn't.
1 hour & 36 minutes later
Inside a classic red booth in a Burger King, sat Akira. He had slightly wavy black hair, with dim amber eyes. Paired with a black turtleneck, khaki pants, chains and a few rings, he really was a sight to look at. He was considered the calm one of the group.
Leaning back in the booth chair he waited for the familiar faces of his best friends, Lekisl Nikain, or Lei, and [m/n] King.
The familiar ring of the bell above the entrance payed him no mind. But what caught his attention was the face of Lei, followed by the slightly shorter figure of [m/n].
Staying still, Akira wanted for Lei to notice him sitting. After a few moments, familar light hazel eyes landed on Akira's figure. Soon enough Lei was heading his way, [m/n] trailing behind him.
Sliding over, Akira soon found himself smothered in sandy blonde hair, Lei having found comfortability in being on top of Akira.
Lei screeched, swinging himself side to side using Akira's neck as a swing.
"Please calm down Lei, we just got here, and I really don't want to get sued again."
"Come on [n/n]! It'll take more than the Great Lekisl to take down this hunk of steel." Lekisl huffed, a loud laugh following after. Akira flushed bright red, a smile on his face despite it. "Ha! If only Akira was strong enough to help bring in the groceries." [m/n] retored, sending Lei into a loud laughing fit. "You have literally have a bunch of money, just buy a robot butler or something." Lei said, a smart look etched on his face.
"Just because I actually have money doesn't mean I'm gonna waste it on weird robots. I'd rather spend it on new doorknobs since you keep breaking the old ones. I'm not dumb Leiskl." [m/n] shot back, sending Lei into a sputtering mess, Akira laughing at Lei's misery.
"You're not off the hook either Akira, I know what you did with my old pans."
Embarrassed, Akira tried to defend himself, but to no avail.
Looking on at his friends embarrassed faces, [m/n] found himself laughing. Soon enough, Lei joined in the laughter, Akira following after a few moments.
After a few moments of laughter, Lei saw his chance.
"sooo..... how about that liquor store?"
"Ugh, come on Lei" "dude, really?"
But in the end, they all laughed over a bottle of Diet Coke,

Burra: Short Stories In the Shaper Universe
This is a collection of short story set in the Shaper Universe. These stories are used to world build and flesh out various parts of the Shaper Universe. Also, to explore some characters with abilities that are not directly combat related. These stories are LitRPG, but they will be light on game mechanics versus the Shaper book, which is game mechanic heavy.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
