Even though snow stopped falling, weather was still cold and sky was cloudy that the snow might start falling again. Teivel was sitting beside the window drinking hot cocoa and reading novel. She closed the book and kept it on the table. She stood up and walked out of the room. She was walking around the garden.

"501... 502... 503......" She heard some noises and followed it. She noticed that Akiara was practicing with sword. She walked towards her.

"I didn't know you can use sword."

"..." She stopped practicing and walked towards her, "I just started learning. What brings you here?"

"Uhh.... I was just bored... so I was taking a stroll." She noticed her figure as she was wearing shirt and pants. She came closer to her and wrapped her arms around her waist, "You have a delicate figure. Take care of yourself." She let go off her and loosening the ribbon of winter cloak, "Make sure not to catch cold."

But Akiara shook her head tying her ribbon back, "Don't worry about me. I'm already adapted to cold."

"How?"

She flinched as this question caught her off guard.

["You will stay in balcony since we don't have extra room for you to stay." her aunt pointed her forefinger towards the balcony.

"But Aunt, it is so cold and it is snowing outside. Can't I stay in living room until winter ends?" Akiara asked nervously.

"How dare you defy me?! I give you food and shelter to talk back to me?"

"....no." her eyes were misty and brimming with tears. She just had to accept it.]

"Aki.... are you alright?" Teivel asked as she got her attention back.

"Uh-yeah I'm fine." she looked down.

Just then she felt beast's aura coming from the surroundings. She took her sword and pushed Teivel behind her and stood on guard, "What happened?"

She placed her finger on her lips to stay quiet. She glanced left and right then behind them.

"Strange I can feel its aura but where is it?" She glanced left and right.

Suddenly she realized and looked at the cloudy sky, "Up!"

It was a dragon. Its scales and body was silver with light hues of purple, its teeth and talons were sharp and its eyes were bright teal colored staring at them. Akiara jumped in the air to slash it but the dragon dodged it. She flipped and landed on the ground. The dragon flew off. Suddenly it dashed towards them.

"TEIVEL!!" She ran towards her and pushed her to the other side.

As the dragon flew towards Akiara, it suddenly transformed into young boy. He fell on her and they crashed on the ground.

"AKIARA!!" Teivel shouted.

He hugged her, "I found you big sis!"

"Huh?" Both looked confused.

Akiara noticed his features - silver hair with tips of purple and bright-teal eyes pupil were vertical, "You are that boy we met at market weeks ago."

"So you remember me? I was searching you for months to thank you." He let go off her and stood up. He helped her get up, "But I didn't do anything to receive your thanks."

"You do. You remember the dragon fledgling you saved four months ago?"

"Yes I do." suddenly she realized, "Then you are-"

"Yes that's me. I came to say thank you and I also decided to stay by your side big sis!" He hugged her.

Teivel suggested, "Uh... well I don't mind keeping you. You can help your big sis doing chores since her hands are full."

He shifted his gaze and glared at her, "Who are you human? Why are you living with my big sis?" His hug got tighter.

She pulled back and crotched down, "You shouldn't be rude to young miss. After all she is the master of this house."

His expression changed to worried look, "Then are you her slave?"

She gently gripped his shoulder, "No its not like that. I'm her personal maid."

"Maid? So you are working here as a maid?" He asked looking confused.

"Yes. Anyways what's your name?" Akiara asked. Her expression looked emotionless but there was a hint of smile when she asked.

"I am Arrow." He replied smiling brightly.

"Arrow?" Both tilted their heads.

"It's not arrow. It is pronounced as Aa-row." He cleared the misunderstanding of his name.

"Alright then I'm Teivel and your big sister's name is Akiara." Teivel introduced with a fake smile on her face.

He hid behind Akiara and peeped from her shoulder, "Human, since I will be staying by big sister's side, you won't mind living in your house right?"

Teivel stood up and walked towards them. She ruffled his hair, "I already told you I don't mind it."

"Let go off my hair!" He swatted her hand.

"How dare you hit me?" Both started talking back to each other and she stopped him by holding his head as he tried hitting her. Akiara saw the scene and gave a small smile. Teivel noticed her, "You smiled again! Please smile again!"

She ignored her and stood up walking towards the mansion, "Let's head inside or you both might catch cold."

"Coming!" both shouted following her. They held her hands on either sides and glaring at each other. Later that evening Arrow followed Akiara to Teivel's room.

"Big sis gave me new set of clothes." He showed the butler outfit he was wearing.

"It looks nice on you!" Teivel complimented.

He held his head high in pride. Teivel smiled, "Welcome to Verlice estate, butler Arrow."

He slightly bowed, "Thank you young miss of Verlice." he hid behind Akiara and peeked, "I'm doing this for big sister's sake... got that human?"

"You should be mindful of your manners when speaking to your master." Teivel warned glaring at him. He flinched and let go off Akiara. He bowed and nodded. She stood up and walked towards Akiara. She wrapped her arms around her neck.

Akiara spoke unfazed, "I apologize for Arrow's impudence. I'll make sure he learns his manners well."

"I don't care as long as you are by my side." she slowly came near her ears, "If you don't mind, can you teach me how to sword fight?"

"I can protect you so you don't need to-"

She placed her finger on her lips, "Suppose I got lost and can't find you so only I can defend myself. So what do you do say?"

"Alright if that's what you want."

"Yes!" She embraced her and she smirked at Arrow.

He fumed up and turned his face away, "Whatever."

Akiara pulled away and walked few steps back, "Anyways I'm going to town tomorrow. Want to tag along?

"Sure!" Both took her hands on either sides.

Akiara freed herself walking towards the door and stood at the doorway, "I'm going to cook dinner." she walked away.

"Let me also help you!" They ran behind her.

"..."

They started helping her. Akiara was kneading dough to make bread.

"I feel warmth inside my heart." she touched her chest, "It is not bad. But do I deserve to be happy after what I've been through?"

Teivel noticed her and walked towards her, "Lost in thoughts?"

"... its nothing like that." She made it into small rounds and placed it on baking tray.

Teivel smiled and kissed on tip of her ear, "No matter what happens I promise that I will never leave your side." she showed her pinkie finger.

Akiara hesitated at first. She slowly showed her pinkie finger and locked with Teivel's pinkie finger.

She swept her strand of hair behind the ear and her face came closer to hers, "Then let me make you another promise. I will make you the happiest girl in the world."

A small spark shone her eyes which made her eyes slightly grow wide. She pushed her back and turned away. She took the tray and put it in the oven. She noticed her ears slightly turned red.

She chuckled, "Just wait a little longer. I'll definitely make you mine."
