Nate's POV

"What do you mean", I asked

Kai's pack is very despicable, but I never thought they would put a fucking kill chip in her

"WHAT IS A KILL CHIP", Amara yells

"It's this micro chip that goes in your neck, by your brain stem", the doctor starts

"The owner, in this case, Kai. Has an app on his phone, he just has to push it and. Well. You. Die", he states sadly

Amara's mouth drops open

"Luckily. We have the technology to remove it", the doctor says

"Lets do it", Amara states instantly

"It's very complicated. One small jerk and you could die", the doctor says

"NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT", I yell

"Yes", she states

"You don't get vote in this", I say

"It's my life", she whispers

I look at her, then the doc

"If she wants to, we can do it", the doctor says

I look at Amara. She gave me a sweet innocent look and I knew she was right

"If she wants too. Let's do it", I say

"I'll get ready. It will only take a minute", the doc said

She took her shirt off, revealing a black tank top and she followed the doc to the room.

"You have to wait out here Alpha", he said

I nodded and they went in the room and shut the door. I waited and waited for what seemed like forever. They came out and she looked she was hammered.

"Take her home and put her to bed", he said as she stumbled over to me

"You got it out", I asked

"Yes, it went successfully", he said

There was a moment of silence

"Doc, what are you holding back", I asked

"Well", he began

"Just as I took the chip out and set it on the tray, it went off", he said

"Yea, so what's your point", I asked

"They know she's gone. They know you have her, and they realize she knows the truth"

I picked her up and started to leave

"Alpha, they're coming", the doctor said

I nodded and started to walk away
