《Kyra (Completed)》32

Today was the day of Kyra's appointment and I couldn't be more excited to see the ultrasounds and ask a million and one questions because I was intrigued. I didn't know shit about the process of having baby's. I have no nieces or nephews and when Ariel was born I was too young to care about that shit. Now, this was my child and I wouldn't ever dream of someone else carrying it. I was excited to do this and learn how to be a father.
I pulled up to Treys house and hopped out, making my way up to the door. I knocked and after a few minutes Kyra opened the door.
"Cam! What the hell happened to your face?" She asked running her fingertips over one of the bruises causing me to flinch slightly. "Sorry."
I waved her off. "Chanel wasn't happy about Cali and shit." Kyra shook her head. "Are you okay?"
I nodded. "You still got the appointment?" She nodded and let me in closing the door.
"I'm not quite ready yet." She made her way up the stairs, me right behind her and walked into a bedroom. I closed the door behind me and sat on the bed, watching her put on her earrings.
"Where's Trey at?" She shrugged. "Probably out with Kelly. I don't wander in their business." I nodded.
I stared at her taking in how good she looked. Her ass was getting fatter and sitting real nice in her leggings. Her long hair was wavy and flowing down her face. Her lips were light pink from the light lipstick she put on, and she was glowing.
"You look beautiful..."
She turned around startled and gave a small smile. "Thank you."
She slid her feet into her uggs and adjusted her leggings before grabbing her small leather jacket, putting it on over her flowly tank top. She looked nice today.
I handed her her purse and followed her out of the house.
I opened the door of my truck and carefully helped Kyra down. We made our way into the big glass building and my nerves kicked in.
I was about to see my son or daughter. I was about to have a child. Was I going to be a good dad? All I ever wanted was to be as good as a father as mine was. I want my child to be proud to say I'm their father.
I felt Kyra's small hand intertwine with mine, pulling me from my thoughts. I looked down at her and she smiled.
"Relax, it's just a check up. I'm not going into labor.." I chuckled and she let my hand go.
"You're going to be a great dad Cameron." She said looking down at the floor. I lifted her chin and she pulled away as we entered the small waiting room.

I sighed and sat next to her checking my twitter. Kyra was so hard to get through to. I really wanted her trust back and I knew I had to earn it before our baby came. I wondered did she trust me with at lease that.
"Hamilton? Kyra?" We stood and she gave a warm smile as she led us to a empty room.
"The doctor will be with you shortly.." She said before leaving.
After 10 minutes, a doctor walked in smiling. "Kyra, how are you pregnant girl?"
Kyra smiled. "I'm good." She looked at me and nodded.
"You must be Cameron. Nice to meet you. You should have been here her first appointment but since you weren't, I'll fill you in on everything you need to know about watching over her. The pregnant ones don't always follow the rules." I nodded.
"Alright, let me take your blood pressure and then we will look at your baby." She wrapped the cuff around Kyra's arm and nodded before typing something into the computer. "You look just fine, now take that jacket off and let me see your tummy.
I grabbed her jacket and watched as the doctor squirted some clear gel on her stomach. Kyra shivered and the doctor apologized. She rolled the tool around on her stomach until a picture popped up on the screen.
"And there's your baby."
I stared at the screen and smiled. It looked so much bigger than it was. It's head looked huge courtesy of me or maybe because it wasn't fully developed. It also looked peaceful, it looked like nothing was bothering it and it was calm. It was beautiful to to say the least.
Kyra's hand touched my back and turned around kissing her forehead. "I swear Kyra. Imma be the best father."
She smiled. "I know." She turned around and looked at the doctor. "Can you tell what I'm having yet?"
"Maybe, I usually would wait till your next appointment but..." She moved the tool around and smiled. "I think you're having a little boy. I see his wink." Me and Kyra busted out laughing along with the doctor and she smiled.
She handed me the tool as she typed in the computer. She cleaned Kyra's belly off and walked out, coming back with the pictures.
"I gave you guys two copies of each." She said sitting down.
"Kyra, did you get your period this month again? Are you taking those pills I gave you?" I frowned. I thought you didn't get that shit when you were pregnant?
"No, I didn't get it. Does that mean I'm done taking them?"
She nodded. "I don't like putting medicine on a baby's stomach but your bleeding wasn't normal. Girls don't bleed four months into a pregnancy."

She nodded as I helped her back into her jacket. "Thank you."
She nodded. "Make sure you keep taking those vitamins regularly."
"I will."
The doctor stood up and gave Kyra a hug. "You guys can go."
I helped Kyra down and held the door out for her as she walked out.
"You hungry?" She nodded.
"What you want to eat?" She shrugged. "Chipotle." I laughed and nodded.
"Chipotle it is."
After we got the food I headed back to my place. We sat on my bed and chilled as we ate and talked. I missed her.
I grabbed her burrito from her hands and sat it on the dresser. I pushed her down on the bed and lifted her shirt up. I pressed my ear to her belly and heard nothing but water but it still made me smile. I kissed all over her belly making her laugh and I smiled at her smile.
"Kyra, imma earn your trust back.."
She smiled. "I hope so... " She mumbled "I really do."
I walked through the condominium with Jamie and Kaylen. I had made a list of things I knew I didn't want because they aren't safe. So far, my only problems were with the stairs. I wanted carpeted stairs and these were wooden and they had no coverage. The baby could fall through and get hurt.
I ran my hands through my hair that was now past my ass. The vitamins they have me taking are making my hair grow and it was already aggravatingly long.
My phone started to ring and I dug through my purse, pulling it out.
"Hello?" I reached my hand through the stair case and shook my head at Kaylen.
"Yeah, wassup?" Rashad's voice came through the phone.
I smiled. "Hey, handsome."
"Yo, imma come down there in a few weeks to see you. I'm really happy you called me. Now, I'm tripping and shit." I blushed and Jamie started mouthing questions to me about who I was talking to.
"Really?" He chuckled. "Yeah, I miss you."
"I can't wait." I mouthed 'Shad' to Kaylen and she started clapping.
"Hey Shad!" She yelled.
"Who is that?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes. "Kaylen."
"She still talk too much?" I laughed and looked over at her. "Hell yeah."
"Where y'all at?"
"I'm looking for a apartment. I'm trying to get out of Treys house." I said walking into a room by myself.
"You still best friends with that nigga huh?" I sighed. "Yep."
"He still in love with you?" I kissed my teeth. Rashad didn't really like Trey either. Trey was never secretive with his feelings for me. It was so obvious and since I was with Rashad for so long, I guess you could see where the conflict lied.
"Nope, he has a girlfriend actually. I like her, she's nice. Real pretty."
"Whatever.." I giggled.
"Aight, we'll let me get back to this proposal. Imma talk to you later?"
I smiled. "Yeah, sure."
"Aight, bye beautiful." He said before hanging up.
I returned back into the room Kaylen and Jamie were in. They were looking out the window laughing at something.
The real estate agent walked in the room and clasped her hands together with a smile. "What do you think?"
"I love it, but I'm about to have a child and the stairs are just so unsafe." I said sighing.
This place was so perfect. It was two floors, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. It had a big kitchen and living room and an extra room I could use for the bay's toys.
"Have you ever heard of baby proofing?" I shook my head no. "No, I haven't but its pretty self explanatory. How does it work?"
"Well, you can have a company come in and do it for you or you can do it yourself but they have gates that can stop the baby from climbing the stairs." I smiled and let out a breathe. "Oh, that's great. I really love this condo."
I walked up to the wall that was made of nothing but windows and looked out at the big beautiful view of Miami and smiled.
"This window is scary as hell." Jamie said looking down. "What floor is this again?"
"7th."
"Yeah, hell no." She said backing away. I laughed and pushed her shoulder. "You think they would have made this if it wasn't safe?"
"Exactly." The agent chimed in. "That glass is thick and bullet proof. The pressure it take for it to shatter is out of reach to normal people of course."
"How much?" I asked texting Cam back.
She flipped through some paper and wrote something down. "This one is 7,000."
"A month?" She nodded and I sighed.
"Can you afford that?" Jamie asked.
"Yeah, Cam gave me a bank account and he never closed it. I just don't want to need him right now.."
"Oh, no. He owes you this. He decided to cheat on you with a bitch in your house so he's going to buy you another one." Jamie said walking up to the agent. "She'll take it."
I chuckled and wrote out the check.

LIlith's Firstborn
The legend says that the Forbidden Fruit made the first two humans – Adam and Eve – intelligent, but what if it was the other way around? What if the Forbidden Fruit took most of their humility, their intelligence, their kindness, etc. away and turn them into the discriminating, angry, and hateful humans that they are? What if the only way to turn back into their former selves was to lead a good life on Earth to cleanse their souls? The legend also says that Lilith was a demoness who fled from Heaven and was granted mercy when she showed humility and proved that her soul was still worthy of saving despite all her wrongdoings. What if, after centuries of sinning, Lilith finally found her way back to kindness? What if God forgave Lilith for her crimes? What if she gave birth to a baby after she had repented? And what if that baby is the only human soul in existence that isn’t tainted by the Forbidden Fruit or her past sins? Tallitanya of Lilith inherited her mother’s immortality and grew up at a rate much slower than an average human so she had witnessed the rise and fall of empires even though she is physically and mentally 21 years old. She was born on Earth, but she moved to Heaven when she was physically 5 years old and didn’t return until she was 18 years old. She was tasked, by God himself, to guard over the Forbidden Tree which had since been replanted on an isolated island on Earth. She loves that job, and she loves that she was given direct instructions instead of having to figure out what God’s so-called ‘mysterious plans’ for her was. Centuries went by. Tallitanya is 21 years old when the Final Judgement is nigh. As an immortal who has yet to have a real affiliation with Heaven or Hell, Tallitanya has received a personal invitation from the Antichrist who wishes to recruit Tallitanya. Heaven also sends its angel – Michael – to inform Tallitanya that as a human, her soul would also be judged by God. She was ordered to leave her post as the Forbidden Tree’s guardian so that she could get to know the other humans before she makes an actual decision about who she wants to align herself with. The second she steps out of the island, it disappears. Turns out, her message from God was faked, and so was her mission. The devil had tricked her, and as the guardian of the Forbidden Tree, she must recover the tree and the island, or humanity will perish within the year.

Rebirth, but not quite.
A boy is born in a fantasy world with knowledge of modern earth, however he does not have personal memories of living or dying before. Good news is he was born in militaristic branch of the royal family and the variety of forms and uses of magic in this world are great fun, bad news is with status come expectations. Follow him as he makes his place in the world all the while escaping boredom with all his might. This is a story without a big baddie trying to destroy the world, without gods choosing heroes to give powers to and without systems that determine what you can and can't do. This is my first fiction and i'm open to suggestions. I plan on using a few cliches while putting my own spin on things, if i write something that feels too much like every other fictions, please say so.
