Kyra
Jamie and I entered the small cafe and took a seat at one of the square tables. I hadn't hung out with her in a while so I wanted to hit her up and invite her out for lunch. I know her and Chris are joint at the hip most of the time but I wanted to see her.
"You're freaking glowing! I can't believe you're pregnant! Have I really been MIA that long? Like shit girl!" I laughed and nodded. "Yeah, it's been a secret for a while. My family knows, but that's about it."
"How does your father feel about that?" She asked.
"He's on the fence.." I said scanning the menu. "He's excited to be a grandfather but he doesn't like the circumstance that I'm in."
"Oh, so how is everything with Cam? Are you two talking? This is more than just about the both of you now."
I nodded. "I never planned on ignoring him or not telling him he has a child. That's wrong. I just dont want him to think this means anything. He can stay with the chick he left with."
She rolled her eyes. "She had no fucking chill button. How do you do that to your friend? She should have respected that you two were together. I just don't get these bitches today."
I shrugged. "All I know is I need to start figuring how I'm going to do this. Even with Cam in the picture, I'm still alone to an extent."
She nodded. "Yeah, you're going to be taking the baby back a forth between the two of you."
We ordered and I sipped my smoothie as we waited for our food.
"I'm just so sure that he will be so amazing with it. He's so good with kids, I can imagine him with ours being everything and more. I just wish he hadn't messed up."
"Everyone makes mistakes Kyra and I know you're afraid of going back. I know you don't want to be the one left looking stupid. I know that you're still hurting, but you've got to let it go for your baby... This baby needs you and Cam as a unit. I think you should sit down and maybe figure out where you two stand. You may not still be fighting, but you two aren't at an agreement either." She said thanking the waitress for our food.
"I hear what you're saying..." I said moving my salad around with my fork.
"Is he with her? Like relationship wise?" she asked glancing around the restaurant. "Chris said he saw Cam with some girl at a get together.."
I shook my head. "Yep."
She sighed. "How was Cali?"
I smiled thinking about the new extension to my family. "It was really great. I met my mom and my brother and her husband John who was so cool."
She smiled. "I'm so proud of you. I know it took a lot." She said handing the waiter her credit card as I did the same.

"Yeah, but I'm so happy and relieved now." I said sipping my, now faint lemonade.
"I would think you would be." She smiled as we got our cards back.
I lifted my cross body bag over my head and she grabbed my hand as we walked out of the resturant. Jamie was becoming my bestfriend slowly but surely. She was always there to talk and she gave the absolute best advice ever.
I remember the first day I met her. I had never seen her before in my life but I wanted her company since I was mad with Cam about the Leah situation. She had even given me advice that day as we walked around the big track that lead to me considering giving Cam a chance to explain.
She kissed my cheek as we made it to our cars that sat parked side by side. I gave her a big hug before I made my way home.

"What you doing? You've been at this computer for an hour.." Trey said walking into the living room and sitting on the couch next to me.
"Looking for apartments.." I mumbled.
"Damn, you leaving already? I kinda love having you around. Ya know?" I nodded.
"I've been here a little too long and I know Kelly probably wants me out of here."
He kissed his teeth. "Fuck all that, you're my family. You can stay here for two years and what she thinks won't matter." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Thanks." He nodded as the doorbell rung. "Imma help you, let me get the door right quick." He said being up from the couch.
I heard Kelly's voice before she walked into the room. I smiled and she waved.
"Hey Kyra." She said with a smile.
Kelly was gorgeous. Her skin was mocha and smooth. She had this pretty, tight, curly hair that she always wore straight and a smile that made you smile. She also had this goofy side to her. She was so perfect for Trey.
Trey sat back next to me and pointed to the houses as I nodded at the ones I approved and frowned at the ones I didn't.
"What are you two doing?" Kelly asked walked back into the room with Mountain Dew and a plate of chips.
"Looking at houses. I will be out of you guys way, very soon."
She waved me off. "You're not a bother. You're actually too damn quiet."
Trey clicked on a house and I shook my head no as we went through the pictures. He chuckled. "Fuck is wrong with this one. It's perfect!"
"It has way too many steps in weird places and I don't want the baby to fall or hit its head. I'm just making safety precautions. It is beautiful though."
"You're pregnant Ky?" I nodded.
"By who? You barely leave the house."
"Cam , who else?" She laughed and nodded. "Yeah, duh. Happy or sad?"
"Is it fair to say both?" She nodded. "Of course. Your still healing but now you have something to beautiful to look forward to if you look at it that way." I nodded.

"I know." I said rubbing my small baby bump. "I love it already. You have no idea."
I stepped off of the elevator and made my way down the hallway, taking my time getting to her apartment. I knew she was going to have a fit and I honestly didn't even feel like entertaining her ass at the moment. I had just found about about something that has made me extremely happy and I didn't want her to mess that up.
I knocked on the door and after a few moment she swung the door open. She rolled her eyes and turned around walking back into the house.
She had on nothing more than a bra and some shorts that left 85% of her ass out and it kinda pissed me off.
"Why the fuck are you answering your door looking like that? You didn't even know I was stopping by here."
"Cam, am I not a grown woman? Stay in your fucking lane." She spat coldly.
I chuckled and nodded. "Whatever, the pizza nigga gone think you a hoe." she ignored me and plopped back on her couch.
"Fuck you gotta attitude for ma?"she continued to stay unresponsive and focus on everything but me.
"Oh, now you deaf?" She glanced up at me and mugged me before turning her attention to the TV. I chuckled and shook my head. I don't have time for this childish shit. I didn't have time for this side of her.
"Aight, I'm out." I said heading back to the door. I turned the nob and I felt her grab my arm. She reached around me and shut the door.
"You had me so worried! I was so fucked worried about you!" She yelled.
"I already apologized and I don't even do that, so if you looking for me to kiss yo ass, me and you both know it ain't happening. Just drop the shit Chanel."
"I can't! Since when do you fly across the country and not say shit to me about it? What the fuck were you even rushing there for, that you couldn't give me the decency to tell me you were leaving?!"
"I had something important to be there for..." I said taking my hat off and sitting it on the coffee table.
"Like what? You said it was an emergency!"
"It was. Shut the fuck up already damn.."
"Fuck you! You're beating around the damn bush being secretive and shut your probably fucking cheating cause that's what the fuck you do! You've never been shit! Always fucking being sneaky!"
I kissed my teeth. "With you! You've never fucking had a problem if it was you! You're the bitch I'm always cheating with! I got with you because I cheated so what the fuck does that say about you huh?!"
Her face dropped and I sighed. "Get out." Her voice cracked as she spoke and I started to feel bad.
"You don't want me to leave.. Let's be honest." I said walking up to her.
I wiped the stray tear from her cheek and kissed her lips. "Stop questioning me. I'm a grown man. If I fly to Cali, I fly to Cali. Stay in your lane." I said mocking her.
She sighed and put her head down. "I ain't cheating on you either. I don't want you to think that, but you don't want to know why I was there so stop asking, you're setting you're self up."
She huffed and pushed me away from her. "You're a fucking dog"
"Why the fuck are you still stuck?! Let the shit go!" I yelled throwing my hands up. Just when I thought I talked her into shutting up...
"Cause you bullshitting me! WHY THE FUCK WERE YOU IN CALIFORNIA FOR THREE DAYS! Three fucking days and you didn't once call me!"
"I'm really not trying to hurt your feelings just shut the fuck up before I leave..."
"YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE ANYWAY! YOU'RE A LIAR! YOU LIED TO THE BITCH ABOUT ME! YOU KNEW WHAT TIME IT WAS WHEN I CAME BACK STOP BEING A DUMB ASS. YOU DON'T FUCKING LOVE THAT BITCH, SHES NOTHING!" I cringed at the sound of how cold she was being.
If you were smart you wouldn't talk about Kyra like that around me. Everyone knew how I felt about people calling her out of her name and that's why I felt so horrible about calling her a bitch. That was the lowest.
Chanel was pushing it.
"I'm out man.. You doing to fucking much.." I mumbled, grabbing my hat and heading for the door for a second time.
"YOU'RE A ASSHOLE! YOU'RE A CHEATER! THAT'S WHY YOU WERE THERE!"I bet this whole apartment complex heard her voice. She was literally screaming.
"You wanna know why I left?"
She folded her arms across her chest and nodded. "Tell me. I know I'm right you bitch nigga! You're so fucking sne-"
"Kyra needed me. I left for her. I slept in the same bed with her and told her how much I love her and I helped her do what she needed to do out there. Now, you know. Shut the fuck up!"
"GET THE FUCK OUT!" She screamed bawling her eyes out. She was crying so hard. "I FUCKING HATE YOU SO MUCH CAM I HOPE YOU DIE!"
I chuckled. "Nah, you don't. You love me." I said picking her up.
She fought me, smacking me and punching me in the face as I made it down to her bedroom. I kissed her lips after she tired herself out and unclipped her bra, pulled down her shorts.
She moaned as I started to play with her pulling at her hair. "Spread em'" she did as she was told as I pulled my pants down and grabbed a condom out of my wallet, sliding into her.

Molting the Mortal Coil
Reincarnated as a child in a new world a mild mannered programmer, named Sage, finds himself struggling to survive. The road to immortality is paved with danger, treasure, and conflict. This mystical eastern world is filled with Demonic Beasts, Treacherous Cultivators, and Extraordinary Legacies. Follow Sage on his journey to adapt to this new world, and find out if he can overcome the limitations of body, mind, and soul. Will he rise to the occasion and become a hero? Or maybe he'll turn to the dark side and end up a villain? Molting the Mortal Coil is more of a slower paced journey. It's not about endless battles and conquering the next bad guy who spits on the main characters shoes or sends him a funny look. There's also not a treadmill of tournaments or love interests. It's more of a slower burn with lots of, and hopefully not too much, world building. It's still supposed to be stuffed with action, but that won't pick up for a while since we start with a weakling. The first 30 chapters have a lot of time-skipping, but stay with me it gets better. I plan to re-write and add more to the first 30 in the future, but if you can push through I feel it gets much more fun after! Updates will be weekly.
