It had been three months since the fight with Cameron and I should have been over him, but I wasn't. I never thought Cam would cheat. I trusted Cam so much and I had no doubts once he told me he loved me, once we moved together, once I met his family. I was still confused but I didn't want to go back to him. I didn't have time for an unfaithful person in my life.
He had never told me about Chanel. He'd never told me about any of his ex girlfriends for that matter, and I wasnt the type to worry about them or go digging for anything. She was right under my nose and I didnt even know it. It made me wonder if she knew the whole time, or if she just saw him when he came home that night.
At first my instinct was to go home for a while, meaning back to Virginia, but I can't run from my problems. Then, at the same time, I was still running. I still had clothes and other stuff I owned at Cam's house that I really needed to go get.
I didn't want to see him. I've been staying with Trey in Miami and he's welcomed me with open arms. A good thing came from a bad situation. Me and Trey were close again. He was over me and actually had a girl he was talking to. He had no feelings for me anymore.
He tried to give me advice about Cam but he couldn't because he doesn't like Cam He couldn't be neutral like my father had been when I told him.
My father actually thought we needed to sit down and talk. I told him I would do it when I touched back down in Florida, but for now, it was me time. I needed to get away from the situation and the environment of it before it drove me insane.
Me, Noni and Kaylen stepped off the plane and awed. Los Angeles wasn't like Miami. It was definitely hotter down in Florida, not by much though.
I fixed my shorts and grabbed my bags off of the conveyor belt. Me and Noni Had found or stuff but Kaylen hadnt so she was stalking the machine till her luggage found its way out and once she got them, we were on our way.
We caught a cab to a hotel and we got one room with two beds. Me and my sister loved sleeping together when I came home so we both didn't mind. It was something we had did since we were younger.
Noni had just graduated so I promised her we'd fly out to California.
She's always wanted to come and me and Kaylen had never been either so we decided to go. I really wanted Noni to enjoy herself while we were out here because shes never really been out of Virginia besides college campus trips and those were strictly business. No time to sight see really.
Noni plopped on the bed. "Damn, this is a nice bed." She said closing her eyes.
I jumped on to of her and we started wrestling which resulted with the both of us on the floor laughing.
"Let's go somewhere. We have three days here and no time to waste." Kaylen said hopping off the bed and dragging us out of the room.

"We need to find a rental car. I'm not about to be wasting fifty dollars on cabs every day, that's dead." Noni said flipping her long black hair.
We got ready and headed out. We went to a few malls and went shopping. The shopping scene and environment out here was different and it was amazing how many clothing company's were coming up in LA.
It felt very surfer-ish? People wore swimming suits like outfits and walked around shirtless. I hated when men wore thong flip flops. I thought it was so weird.
We walked in a random store and started skimming through racks of clothes picking out cute items and showing them to each other for approval. We were being such girls and I was loving every minute of it.
"So, I'm trying to find a white boy. They nice out here." Noni said poking her lips out.
"What the hell are you gone do with a white boy Noni?"
She shrugged. "I want to experience different races. Maybe a white boy will treat me right. Maybe he'll be a true gentleman. I don't know. I just want something different like a Asian or some shit that's so far out of what I've been comfortable with."
"Well, we have to go out and we will be here for three days. I'm sure you will bump into someone and see if that's the road you want to go down. You might get poked and not like the shit. "I said laughing.
"Ew, Ky." I shrugged. "Hey, you brought that shit up. Not me."
She smiled. "You make it sound bad."
I looked at her offended. "Nigga I'm not racist. I'm just saying, it's going to be different so don't expect him to do something that's not in his character. Who ever this man may be."
She nodded. "I understand."
Kaylen scoffed. "I thought you were a virgin Noni!"
Me and Noni started cracking up. "I got my shit popped in eleventh grade nigga." I chuckled.
"She was so scared when she came home that night. She thought my dad would be able to smell her and she was limping and shit."
"You caught her?"
"Hell yeah, and put her young dumb ass in the bathtub and didnt speak to her for a week."
Noni rolled her eyes. "You were doing the fucking most too!"
"How?" I shot back.
"Cause you had been fucking Rashad like a damn bunny. Yall were nasty." I laughed. "I was grown, were you?
"I was sixteen." I nodded. "My point."
Kaylen looked and me and wiggled her eyebrow. ""And when did you lose your shit to Trey?"
"I was seventeen hoe, stop co signing." Kaylen laughed.
"Whatever. At lease my first time was bomb. I was climbing walls, were you? I kissed my teeth and ignored that questions, skimming threw some racks.
I held up a dress and wiggled my eyesbrows. "Yassss. Try that on. Like now." Noni said clapping. "And this one too!" Kaylen yelled tossing a dress at me.
I entered the dressing room and pulled off my clothes. I glanced at myself in the mirror and sighed. I twisted my waist looking at my back before straightening my self back out. I had gained a few pounds since I broke up with Cam.

Depression Food can take quite a toll on your body but I felt like I was slowly moving on. Of course it was a walk in the park. I was head over heals in love with him. I still tended to think about him most of the time, but it wasn't still making me cry, I didn't have to fight myself not to run back.
I slid the dress on and walked out. Noni squealed. "Ass alert!"
I chuckled. Me and Cam had sex, a lot. He was freak, but he only did as much as I allowed. I guess that's how the new booty came about.
"Damn, I wish I had your body sometimes. I'm almost sure you can wear anything."
I bought the dress and we headed out to find somewhere to eat.
We found a little cafe and order some food. I just got some chicken fingers and a small salad. I wasn't that hungry. Kaylen and Noni got these big burgers that looked like they were good.
"What type of barbecue sauce is this?" I asked frowning up my face and grabbing the ketchup. "It's nasty?"
I nodded and pushed the small cup in her direction. She grabbed one of her fries and dipped it in the sauce before tasting it.
"Eww, it tastes like it has sugar in it."
I laughed and nodded. "It doesn't. It is nasty though."
I looked out the window and Noni and Kaylen when on talking about something. I was watching the cars pass and the people walk by when that was the furthest thing from my mind.
"What's wrong Kyky?" Noni asked.
"Nothing, why?" I asked looking at her, my attention fleeing from the window.
"Why do you always look so sad?" Noni said grabbing my hand.
"I'm not, im okay."
"You need to get over Cam. He doesn't deserve to control your emotions for three months after he did you wrong."
I nodded. "Our anniversary is next week."
Noni sighed and pulled me into a hug. I laid my head on her shoulder and let out a breath.

We wanted to go out tonight but we didn't know where to go so Kaylen and Noni looked up some clubs and found one Noni could get into at her age.
I got dressed and sat on the bed looking threw my messages. Devin had texted me asking where I had been. I started texting him as Noni and Kaylen got dressed.
Once they were ready we headed to some club called "86%" . It was a strange name but some girls in the mall told us it was popular so when we found a club, we looked it up.
It was dark but the club had these bright strobe lights from wall to wall lit up in lines. It was pretty and bright enough so that you could see but not to lit. It was nice.
Kaylen grabbed our hands and took us to the floor and we started being ratchet and twerking on each other. I hadn't had this much fun in a long time so I was savoring it.
Someone grabbed my hand and I turned around. He smiled and I waved.
"Can I dance with you ma?" I nodded. He was handsome.
"Name?" He chuckled. "Lou." I nodded.
"I'm Ky." He nodded and I grabbed his hands wrapping them around my hips as we danced to the music. I was satisfied that he knew how to move his hips. You would be surprised how many men will ask you to dance, but don't know how. I started to slow grind on him as the music slowed. I felt him become hard under me and I smirked.
He turned me around and we both laughed as we walked to the bar. He sat down and asked me what I wanted to drink.
"So, what do you do Lou?"
"Uh, I'm a dancer but I do construction work with my dad sometimes. Weird combination right?" I laughed and nodded. "Very."
"So where you from? I hear the accent."
"Virginia, but I live in Miami."
"All you know is south huh?" I laughed and nodded. "Yeah, it's in my blood. Fried chicken and green beans. Ya know?"
He laughed. "Shit, nah. Can you cook?" I nodded. "I got something to work with." He nodded. "I like that. You gone have to whip something up for a nigga."
I nodded. "Sure." He nodded.
"So were are you from?"
"Atlanta, but I bounce back In forth from here to there because I own two clothing stores. Its costing a lot more money than I had thought."
I laughed. "But at least your doing something. A lot of people can't make themselves into something, there dependent on everything else. You know? You must be ambitious."
"I guess you could put it that way. I just dont like having someone over me. I dont want a boss, I want to be the boss."
I smiled. "I like that."
Lou pointed behind me and I turned around to Noni walked up to me. I raised an eyebrow."Hey, Ky, were heading out." I nodded and looked back at Lou.
"I'll be right there." Noni nodded and walked off.
"What's up with me getting your number?" He said slickly. I smiled and wrote my number in a napkin before walking off.
After Noni and Kaylen crashed, I took a long shower and put on some sweat shorts and a t-shirt with my Jordan's and a hoodie.
I stepped out in the hallway and dialed his number. I was nervous because we hadn't spoken in so long. I wonder how he was doing and if he even still stayed here but I was sure he did.
He wasn't the type to keep starting over in a new place. Thats why I was surprised he even moved to California. It was so far away and so different than what he was used to.
"Yo?" He answered unsure of who was calling him. His voice had gotten slightly deeper but it was clearly him. He hadn't changed his number in four years.
"Hello?" He asked when I didn't say anything thing.
"Hey, Rashad."

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.
