''i-i-i, uhm. What do you know about that?''. He looked at me and laughed ''man, people have been talking. This school sure likes to gossip. I heard from a girl that you cheated on Lizzie with Hope. Is that true?'', Scott asked. ''what no. I haven't cheated on Lizzie, with Hope. It's complicated, but I haven't cheated on her'', I said.
There was some silence, then I spoke up ''you see I'm with Lizzie, but I kind of have feelings for Hope. I guess I always had but didn't think she also had feelings for me. Look I have known Lizzie since I was two years old, and I meet Hope when I was ten years old. I knew who she was before that, but I didn't get to meet her and introduced to her before we were ten years old. I'll tell you the story of how I met Hope Mikaelson, how I slowly started to fall for her.
It was a Monday afternoon ten years old Nick was finished with school and ready for the weekend. He walked to the Salvatore boarding school to hang out with his friends. He and the twins were going to have a movie marathon day, even Jed was going to be there. Nick and Jed weren't close at all, but they hung out sometimes as they were in the same crew.
As Nick was up in front of the school's door, he saw an auburn haired girl in the garden around his age. He walked towards her.
He was now behind the girl, but it didn't seem she noticed him. He looked at her from behind, then he began to speak ''hello'', he said. The girl heard this as she turned around and locked eyes with him. Nick couldn't help but admire the beauty of the girl. He stood still and watched the auburn haired girl with fascination. ''uhm hello'', the girl said.
'y-y-yeah h-hey'', Nick stammered nervously. The girl giggled ''yeah you said that already''. Nick cheeks began to heat a little when the girl giggled. ''o-oh, yeah. Sorry. S-so, a-are you n-new her?'', I asked her. ''not actually I have been here sometimes when I was little younger, but it's now that I will began full time'', she said smiling to him ''oh, c-cool. S-so, what's y-your name?'', I asked. ''Hope''.

''Hope. That's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl'', I said without realizing what I said. She looked at me and gave me a smile. I also saw she also got a little red cheek.
I also remembered I knew her name was familiar. That's when it hit me. She is Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall.
''wait are you Hope Andrea Mikaelson as in the Mikaelson?'', I questioned. She sighed and answered me ''yeah I am, but can you please not tell anyone. Other than doctor Saltzman, no one other knows my whole name. As for them I'm Hope Marshall''. ''sure you can trust me, Hope Marshall'', I said giving her a smile. ''so, you know my name, but I don't know yours?''. ''oh, right. My name is Nick Grays Salvatore'', I answered her.
She looked at me and took her hand out for me to shake. I gladly shook it. ''pleasure to meet you Nick Salvatore'', she said giving me a smile. I smiled and whispered in her ear ''the pleasure is all mine Hope Mikaelson''. As I said that, I backed off at her ear and saw she was blushing. I don't know what it is, but this girl was just special. I can't put my finger to it. I just now that this girl could make my heart jump, that no one else could.
Present time
''so, that's the story of how I met Hope for the first time. How I began to fall for her at the first time I saw her. After that we became friends and become close. When I was fourteen/fifteen, I began to come to terms with that I had feelings for Hope. We were close even then. People assumed we were together, even our friends had a nickname for us ''Hick''. They always joked that we should just get together. That we were a cute couple. Me and Hope always told them we were just friends. Even if I secretly Hoped that she felt the same way, I thought she didn't. She also started to date a vampire, Roman. An idiot that always had to be better than me. He knew I felt something for Hope so, always as I visited the school. He had to shove it into my face that Hope was his girlfriend. I were always jealous, but I wouldn't admit it. Once I got to a fight with the vampire, and I won. I didn't know then that I was a hybrid so, I didn't figure out how I won against a couple of hundred-year-old vampire. However, I was proud that I did. But of course, he had to tell Hope what happened. She wasn't happy about that at all. I think she didn't talk for me like a week after the incident.

Either way when I found out that my feelings weren't disappearing as I hoped it would. I began to back off a little. Distancing myself from her. The more I did that, the more we grew apart. We still were friends and hung out sometimes, just not as much as we did before. That was until we had a scavenger hunt and Jed put just the two of us in one group. We reconnected and after that we became a little closer, not like before but almost.
At that time, she also had a boyfriend as she has this day Landon Kirby. My half brother. So, I knew I'd just be a friend for her.
Then about three months ago I started to go on dates myself, trying to move on. I went out with 1-2 girls, then I stopped. Don't know why, just thought that I shouldn't rush getting into a relationship. After that I become more closer with Lizzie, we began from hanging out for one day each week to almost every day. The more we were together the more I enjoyed the company of the siphoner witch. Then we started dating after two weeks, then about a month and two weeks ago I asked her to be my girlfriend. So, that's that. That's my love life'', I said looking at Scott.
He had a surprised expression on his face ''dude. I don't have words''. ''yeah well, me neither. Me neither'', I said. ''so, what now?'', he asked. I turned around and looked at the two dorms and turned back to him ''honestly, I don't know. Before you came I was going to go to one of them and talk to them, but I don't know which one first'', I said. He looked at me smiling and walking to me. He took his hand and clapped my shoulder saying ''whatever dorm you choose first, is your choice. It doesn't necessarily mean who you choose first is where your heart lies''. I looked up at him surprised. He said where my heart lies, that's when I understood he had heard mine and Jed's conversation. Before I got to say anything he began to speak ''yeah sorry. I kind of eavesdropped you and your roommate's conversation''. ''uhu I figured''. ''look Nick. It doesn't matter who you talk to first. It's who you think about before you go to bed, who gives you butterflies, who makes your heart jump, whose smile that makes you happy, who makes you nervous. That's what matters. Not who you talk to first. Your heart lies, where one of those girls make you feel like that. Remember that, then maybe your choice would be much clearer''.
As Scott said that I knew what I had to do. ''you're right Scott, thank you for opening my eyes. I know where my heart lies. Thanks to the help of you, I know where it lies'', I said giving him a smile.
I began to walk away in the direction of her dorm room.

The Supernormal
In a world where fantasy has become everyday, one man stands against absurdity. The local Tower stomps through the streets. Any hedge could contain a witch. Walls regularly crumble, though none more often than the fourth. In the magical city of Blackpool, all ridiculousness is possible, and it takes everything for Jack Of All Trades to survive. Badly, at that. Perpetually late with his rent, he'll take up arms for any paying customer in order to fulfill his quest. His obstacles include polka-loving ghosts, card-game playing vampires, and the most vicious monsters of all: copyright lawyers. When he's joined by an arrogant magus and an insecure vampire, his life gets even more complicated, but no matter what kind of infuriating choose-your-own-adventure he finds himself on, one constant remains—his rent is due at the end of the month. On second thoughts, maybe he should stay in bed. The Supernormal isn't your average web-novel. It's an urban fantasy parody that saunters through a world full of the absurd, delighting in poking fun at popular media, widely-accepted ideas, and often itself. Story arcs only loosely connect through the characters, who are themselves slowly fleshed out as the story continues. Think of Discworld meets The Dresden Files meets Gintama. This novel won't be for everyone, but if it is for you, you're in for a hell of a ride.
