Hello and welcome to the next cycle of the Lost Dreams Book Club!
We are ready to get started with the new cycle and we hope you are, too! Below you will find this week's groups. If we haven't found a group for you yet, you are on the waitlist. We'll make sure to group you up as soon as we can.
Note: we are always looking for members. If you have any friends that might be interested, please don't hesitate to direct them our way!
To make sure everything runs smoothly, here is a quick overview of what you'll need to do:
- The assignment is to read 3 chapters of each partner's book over the next 2 weeks. The deadline for this is February 1st. The next update will be the next Sunday; February 2nd.
- Remember to give the best feedback you can. Be specific.
- When you've finished your assignment, report to us with what you've read in this chapter. This should look a bit like this: Three chapters read of Speaker's Way; last chapter read: chapter 24, and three chapters read of The Root of Magic; last chapter read: chapter 24.
- If your partner goes above and beyond, please let us know. We have a nomination system in place for members who do really well.
- If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us.
- If you want to read more than the required 6 chapters per 2 weeks, talk to your partners to see if they want this too. If one of you has a book that's shorter than the others', see if you can fix this by letting your partners read a second book of yours once they finish the first one.
Here are this week's groups.

Whites' Veil
A boy leaves his hometown, tired of his menial life and, most importantly, the poverty of his village. His destination is Rubia, Capital of the Five Continents; and his goal, money to bring home. Though, that may just be an excuse; an excuse for him to leave the confines of his so-far idolised life--a life free from the endless adoration and praise, for reasons he detests. So he invites you to join him, to grow alongside him and to, one day, celebrate next to him. The year is 97c. Welcome to the Pentas Dale. Welcome to Whites' Veil... ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵ Useful info. Usually, I publish on Sundays, if not, I aim for once a week or attempt to keep at least a bi-weekly schedule. This is a hobby/side project for me so I may go for long periods of time without uploading. I also recommend reading the story with Garamond, as this is the font I use for my manuscripts (obviously optional). ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵ Links. Purple Flames
Annabelle Lee thought she had a foolproof plan. She would activate the alien mothership's self-destruct, act like she was making a heroic sacrifice, then use her powers to create a wormhole to escape at the last second. As much as she wanted to be remembered as the Hero of Earth, she also wanted to survive. But instead of arriving back on Earth as planned, she somehow ended up in a prison cell in the distant world of Garnoth. And as soon as she blasted her way out, she was drawn into a fight between a desperate Resistance and the power-hungry arch-mage Daraken. And they weren't the only forces interested in her unknown power... ********** Updates approximately once a week. Discord server link: https://discord.gg/nE2cDVm

Tanka and Haiku
Overview TankaThe tanka poem is very similar to haiku but tanka poems have more syllables and it uses simile, metaphor and personifacation. There are five lines in a Tanka poem. Tanka poems are written about nature, seasons, love, sadness and other strong emotions. This form of poetry dates back almost 1200 years ago.HaikuHaiku poetry hails from Japan and uses strict syllable guidelines rather than focusing on meter or rhyme. Because the poem is short only three lines with 17 total syllables writers must choose words carefully to create meaning. Haiku poetry is typically simplistic, but its meaning can have great depth. Source : Wikipedia You can share my poem but dont copy, Piglarism is a crime. Enjoy reading po. 💕😊💕Ms. Eryl
