*The next day*
*Justin's POV*
I woke up and smelled bacon. Grace or Ava must be cooking.
"Crap Ava the eggs are burning!" I heard Grace say.
"Man!" I heard Ava sigh. I quietly laughed and got out of bed. It sounds like they need my help.
"You two need help?" I laughed when I walked into the kitchen. Thry both looked at me and nodded their heads.
"Ava can't cook." Grace said.
"What? More like you can't cook!" Ava said.
"Calm down children and let the man cook." I laughed. They sighed and let me finish cooking. I finished cooking what thye had started and we all ate.
"So I have to go to the arena in a little bit and take care of some things. You guy's wanna come?" I said.
"Sure. Grace you wanna come?" Ava said,
" Nah. I still gotta figure out what my surprise is. Or you could just tell me." Grace smiled.
"I'm not telling you." I laughed. She sighed and continued to eat.
"Well I gotta get ready." Ava said after we ate.
"So do I." I said.
"Who's gonna clean up the kitchen?" Grace asked us. Ava and I looked at eachother and smiled.
"You." We both said, She looked at us and sighed.
"Fine." She sighed. We both laughed and went to go get ready.
Aftet we got ready we got in my car and I drove us to the arena.
When we walked inside Johnny walked up to us.
"Hey you two. There's a couple here to see you." He said.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"I don't know." He said.
"Johnny they could be murderers!" I said.
"They're waiting for you on the stage." He said. Ava and I then walked to the stage. There was a lot of people working.
"Who's the person here to see me and Ava?" I asked everyone.
"Us." I heard someone say. We turned around and saw a older couple.
"Mom. Dad." Ava gasped. Wait what?
"Hi Ava." The older woman smiled. I looked at Ava and she looked so shocked.
"You must be Justin." The man said.
"Yeah that would be me." I said.
"Whta are you doing here?' Ava aksed them.
"It's been so long Ava." Her dad smiled.
"Answer my question." She glared at them.
"We saw Justin post a picture of you and his family at his concert in Memphis and we figured that you would be here with him." Her mom explained.
"Leave now." She said,
"Ava wait." I said, She turned her attention to me.
"Excuse us." I said. I pulled Ava away from them so I could talk to her.
"What Justin?" She asked me.
"Give them a chance Ava." I said.
"Why?" She asked me.
"Because one day you might regret not giving them one." I said. She looked at me and sighed.
"Just give them like ten minutes to talk to you." I added.
"Will you stay with me while we talk?" She asked me.
"Of course." I smiled. She nodded her head and we walked back over to her parents.
"You have ten minutes." She said.

"We can go into my dressing room so you guy's can talk privately." I said. They nodded and we walked to my dressing room.
"Justin could we talk to Ava alone?" Her dad asked me when we got inside my dressing room.
"No. He stays." Ava said. Her dad nodded his head and sat down next to her mom on a couch. Ava and I sat on the couch across from theirs.
"We've missed you so much Ava." Her mom said. Ava still hadn't said anything,
"So what have you been up to these last fourteen years?" Her dad asked.
"I'm a lawyer and I own a law firm." She said.
"Good job." Her mom smiled.
"Thanks." Ava said. Everyone was then silent. It was a awkward silence.
"We wanted to apolgize for everything that happened." Her mom said.
"I don't know if I'm ready to accept that apology." Ava sighed.
"And we respect that." Her dad said. I looked over at Ava and she seemed lost.
"I'm getting married again Ava." Her mom said. That caught Ava's attention.
"You are?" She asked.
"Yes and I would love for you to meet my fiance." She smiled.
"I would love to meet him." Ava said.
" We know things will never be the same between us but would you please give us another chance?" Her mom asked.
"I don't know. Maybe." Ava answered.
"Okay well could you meet Jamie and I for lunch, My fiance is Jamie." Her mom said.
"Yes. When?" She said,
"Today at one." She answered.
"Okay." Ava said.
"We'll have it at the house." She said.
"We'll be there." Ava said. We? Wait is she talking about me? I think she is.
"Okay." Her mom smiled. Her parents then left.
"You alright?" I asked Ava.
"This was the first time I've seen my parents in fourteen years." She said.
"How'd it feel to finally see them?" I asked.
"Scary." Ava said,
"So you said to your mom 'We'll be there'. Who's we?" I asked her.
"Please come with me Justin." She said.
"Alright I will." I smiled.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"Welcome." I smiled.
*Ava's POV*
I can't believe I talked to my parents and now I'm on my way with Justin to meet my mom's fiance. This is all so overwhelming.
"Are you nervous?" Justin asked me.
"Yeah." I answered.
"You'll be fine. Just remember I'm always here." He smiled. Aw he's so sweet.
"Thanks." I smiled. We then pulled up to my childhood home. It looks exactly the same.
"You ready?" Justin asked me. I nodded my head and we got out of the car. We walked to the front door and he rang the doorbell.
"Hey you two." My mom smiled.
"Hi." We both smiled.
"I'm sorry I never formally got to introduce myself. I'm Alexis." My mom smiled.
"Hi Alexis. I'm Justin." Justin smiled.
"C'mon in." She said, We walked into my old home. Everything inside looked the same.
"Jamie they're here." Mom said, A tall man then walked into the room.
"Hi I'm Jamie. You must be Ava. I've heard a lot about you." He smiled.

"They were." He smiled.
"This is my good friend Justin Timberlake." I said to Jamie.
"Hi I'm Justin." Justin said as he and Jamie shook hands.
"I'm Jamie." Jamie smiled. Jamie then stood next my mom and wrapped his arm around her waist and smiled at her. The way they looked at eachother was something different. They look like they're in love.
"So should we eat?" We all nodded and we went to the dining room to eat.
"So Ava your mom told me that you are a lawyer. So am I." Jamie said to me.
"You are?" I asked him.
"Yeah I work at a law firm a couple minutes from here." He said.
"I actually own a law firm." I said.
"Really? That's awesome." He said,
"I've acutally been thinking of making another one out here so maybe I can get you a new job." I smiled.
"Really?" He asked me.
"Yeah. I have one back home in New York and another in Boston." I explained.
"You do?" Justin asked me.
"Yeah. I never told you?" I said. He shook his head no.
"Well I would love to work at your law firm." Jamie said.
"And I would love to have you there once it's actually real. It will be probably about another month until it's ready." I smiled.
"We could make it a family business." Jamie laughed. I laughed and agreed with him.
"How did you two meet?" Mom asked Jusitn and I.
"I went with my best friend Grace to his concert in New Yokr and his manager Johnny came up to us and gave us two VIP tickets and backstage passes and when we went backstage we met him." I explained,
"You finally got to go to one of his concerts." Mom smiled. She then looked at Justin.
"She loved you so much when she was a kid. Her room had posters of you and your band on her walls. They actually are still there." Mom said,
"Mom!" I gasped. Justin looked at me and smiled.
"Can I see her room?" Justin asked.
"Of course." Mom smiled.
"What? No!" I gasped.
"C'mon Justin." Mom said. Justin laughed and followed my mom upstairs. Jamie and I were alone at the table.
"Your mom has told me a lot about you." Jamie said.
"She did?" I asked.
"Yeah. She misses you so much Ava." He said.
"I miss her to." I said.
"You'll be at the wedding right?" Jamie asked me.
"Of course. Justin and I will both be there." I smiled.
"I can tell he likes you a lot. Like more than friends." Jamie smiled.
"I get that a lot." I smiled.
"So are you two just friends?" He asked.
"Yeah. He's getting a divorce and he's actually signing the papers tomorrow. And awhile ago we told eachother that we would wait awhile after he's divorced to try to be together." I explained.
"Well if he breaks your heart just call me and I'll go protective step father on him for you." He laughed.
"Thanks Jamie. But I'm sure his best friend Jimmy would beat you to it." I laughed.
"Jimmy Fallon?" He asked.
"Yeah. Then Jimmy's wife Nancy would kill him." I laughed.
"They sound like really good people." He laughed,
"They are." I smiled, Justin and Mom then came back downstairs.
"Dude Ava your room." He laughed. He laughed before he could finish his sentence.
"I know." I laughed.
"I knew you were a fan. But not this big of one." He laughed.
"Well Timberlake I loved Nsync." I laughed,
"I can tell." He laughed. I smacked him i=on the arm and he sat down next to me.
"Is this abuse? Ava you are better than that." He said with a serious look on his face, but I knew he was joking.
"Yes it is Justin." I said smacking the back of his head lightly. He laughed and lightly smacked my arm.
"You better watch yourself." I said.
"Bring it on." He smiled.
"Hey you two no fighting in this house." Mom laughed.
"Sorry!" We both laughed, The rest of the dinner actually went really good. Justin and I were about to leave.
"Thanks for having us." I smiled.
"Anytime." Mom smiled. We then hugged and then I hugged Jamie.
"It was nice meeting you Jamie." I smiled
"You to Ava. Don't forget what I said about protective step dad." He laughed,
"Don't worry I won't." I laughed.
"It was nice meeting you both." Justin smiled.
"You to. Good luck at your concert tonight." Mom said.
"Why don't you two come?" Justin asked them.
"Yeah. You can sit with me." I smiled.
"Let's go honey." Jamie said.
"Okay." Mom smiled.
"When you get to the arena just call Ava and I'll send her to get you with your tickets and backstage passes." Justin smiled.
"Okay. We'll see you guy's tonight." Jamie smiled.
"Bye." We all said to eachother. Justin and I then left in Justin's car.
"Now that wasn't so bad now was it?" Justin said.
"It was actually really good." I smiled.
"I'm happy for you." Justin smiled.
"I can tell she's really happy with Jamie." I smiled.
"So can I." He said.
"When we go to their wedding you're my date." I smiled.
"Okay date." He smiled. I then smiled and turned on the radio, Justin's song 'Not a Bad Thing' was on.
"Sing with me." Justin laughed,
"So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me. Cause you might look around and find your dreams come true with me. Spend all your time and your money just to find out my love was free. So don't act like it's a bad thing to fall in love with me,me. It's not a bad thing to fall in love with me, me." We sung together. Our voice sounded really good together,
"We should sing more often." Jusitn smiled.
"Yeah we should." I smiled. The way he smiled at me; I could tell he looked in love. But I don't know if I can fall in love again. How can I tell him that though?
