*Justin's POV*
I pulled my car into my childhood home's driveway. I haven't been here in forever.
I glanced over at Ava. She looked nervous.
"I thought you said you weren't nervous." I teased her.
"Alright I am." She sighed. I put the car in park and shut it off.
"You'll be fine. They'll love you. I promise." I smiled. I then heard the front door of the house open. Everyone came out of the house to greet us.
"You ready for this?" I asked her.
"Yeah." She nodded. We both got out of the car and my family all smiled at me.
"Justin!" My mom smiled. I walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek as usual and then we hugged.
"Hey mom." I smiled. After I hugged everyone I came to my dad.
"Hey Dad." I smiled.
"Hey Justin." He smiled. We then hugged. We both held onto eachother for a long time.
"It's been to long." Dad Said.
"Yeah it has." I said. We then stopped hugging and now I had introduce Ava to everyone.
"Everyone this is my good friend Ava." I smiled.
"Hi everyone." She smiled.
"Hey." They all smiled. After I told her who was who, everyone walked into the house but Dad asked me to stay back.
"What's up Dad?" I asked him.
"So that's Ava?" He asked.
"Yeah that's her." I smiled.
"She seems very nice." He Said.
"She's amazing." I smiled.
"Take it slow Justin. If you move to fast it might not work out in the end." Dad warned me.
"Don't worry Dad. We're taking it slow." I said.
"Alright. Let's get in there before your mother comes and hunts us down." He laughed. He turned to go inside the house but I told him to wait.
"Yeah,son?" He asked.
"I know all my life we haven't really been close but I want you to know you've always been a good Dad to me. And now that I'm older I want to try to see you more often." I said.
"I'd like that." He smiled. He walked over to me and hugged me tightly.
"Welcome home son." He smiled.
"It's good to be home." I smiled.
*Ava's POV*
Justin's family is so nice! I'm talking to his mom and step mom right now.
"You are just so pretty!" Lisa, Justin's step mom smiled.
"Thank you so much!" I smiled. I heard the door open and I turned and saw Justin and his father Randall walk in. Justin smiled and sat down next to me.

"Please tell me you two are being nice." He said as he sat down.
"Justin you know we would be nice to her!" Lynn,Justin's mom Said.
"Ava are they being nice?" He asked me.
"Yes Justin they are being nice." I smiled.
"Good." He smiled.
"Everyone lunch is ready!" Sadie, Justin's Grandma Said. Everyone cheered and went into the kitchen to get food. Justin and I stood next to his step brother Stephen.
"What's up big bro?" Stephen smiled.
"Nothing much little bro." Justin smiled.
"Now you know I'm single. Big bro you wanna let me get to know Ava over here." Stephen winked.
Justin's little brother is trying to hit on me! This is just great.
"Dude she is my friend. Plus she is twice your age. And Ava would never go out with a guy that still has his baby teeth." Justin said.
Justin to the rescue!
"You said you wouldn't tell anyone about that!" Stephen gasped.
"To late!" Justin laughed as he messed with Stephen's hair.
"Now little bro get your food!" Justin laughed. Stephen sighed and walked away.
"Justin to the rescue." I laughed.
"If he tries to hit on you just tell me and I'll kill him." He laughed.
"Sure thing Timberlake." I laughed. We both got out food and sat down together.
As I took a bite of my sandwich I was eating Justin touched my nose.
"What was that for?" I asked him.
"Oh nothing." He grinned. I touched my nose and felt something on there. He put mayonnaise from his sandwich on my nose!
"You did not just do that." I said.
"Oh but I did." He laughed. I got some mayonnaise from my sandwich and flung it on his face.
"There you go!" I smiled.
"I see how it is!" Justin Said. He then went I to the kitchen and came back with the mayonnaise jar.
"Justin don't!" I gasped. But he didn't listen. He flung mayonnaise from the knife onto my face.
"Oh it's on!" I said. I grabbed my sandwich and smashed it on top of his head.
"Oh yeah!" I cheered. Justin laughed and then walked over to where his food was. He slowly picked up his cup.
"Justin don't you dare." I said.
"You better run." He smiled. I then ran through the kitchen. Both sets of his parents were in there.
"Justin what are you doing?" Lynn asked Justin as he chased me.
"Nothing!" He said as he ran after me.

I ran outside of the house and into the front yard. But Justin was to fast
for me. He splashed me in the face with his drink.
"Justin!" I gasped. He laughed and smiled at me.
"Here let's get you clean you up." He laughed. He came over to me and picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
"Justin what are you doing?" I asked as he carried me inside the house.
"I'm getting you cleaned up." He laughed. We passed his family and he smiled at them.
"Come outside everyone!" He laughed.
"Help!" I said. He laughed and carried me into the backyard where there was a in ground pool. Oh no.
"Don't Justin!" I gasped. He held me over the pool.
"Bye Ava!" He laughed. He dropped me into the pool and them jumped in with me!
"I hate you so much!" I laughed.
"I hate you to!" He laughed. I splashed him in the face and then he splashed me back. As we were splashing eachother someone suddenly jumped in the pool. The person came up from the water and smiled at us. It was Stephen!
"What's up big bro!" Stephen laughed as he splashed Justin. Justin glared at him and pushed him under water. Then he let him co me up for air.
"Don't mess with you're big brother." Justin smiled. I looked at Justin and smiled. Justin smiled at me and winked.
*Lynn's POV*
Randall pulled me inside as Justin,Ava and Stephen were having their fun in the pool.
"Justin is getting to close to that Ava girl." He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"He's falling in love with her." He Said.
"I know." I said.
"We need to do something about it!" Randall said.
"Do what Randall? He's a grown man now." I said.
"But he's still our son." Randall said.
"Since when is he our son? He was always my son." I said.
"Lynn I know made my mistakes in the past but I want to get closer with Justin and he wants to get closer with me." Randall sighed.
"I'm happy that you two want that but Randall he isn't that little boy anymore. He's a grown man. You lost your chance with him as a young boy. You need to realize that he's a man now." I said.
"I just want what's best for him." Randall said.
"So do I. But we can't make decisions for him. Maybe Ava is what's best for him." I said. I really like Ava. She seems like a sweet girl.
"How do you know that?" Randall asked me.
"The way he looks at her and the way he smiles at her shows it. He is falling in love with her." I said.
"But he's not even divorced yet." Randall said.
"They both have agreed to take it slow and be friends first and after he's divorced for awhile maybe they'll date." I explained.
"Like that's going to work. He called me last night for advice. He kissed her and she got upset and he didn't know what to do." Randall said.
"He did?" I asked. I looked out the window and saw him throwing Ava into the air and into the pool.
"Yeah he did. He's to in love with her and they've barely known eachother for a week." He said. I sighed and looked at my ex husband.
"Let's just see where they go with this whole friendship thing." I said.
"Why are you all for them together?" He asked me.
"Because they remind me of us Randall." I confessed.
"Us? How?" He asked.
"They way they look at eachother is the same way we looked at eachother." I said.
"Yeah and look where we ended up." He said.
"We ended up with a amazing son." I said. Randall looked at me and sighed.
"We may have ended up with a divorce but that doesn't mean they won't make it." I said.
I then walked outside to watch everyone have fun. I smiled as Justin jumped out of the pool. He looks so happy.
He smiled at me and slowly walked over to me.
"No Justin!" I said. I knew exactly what he was going to do.
"C'mon Ma!" He laughed. He ran over to me and picked me up.
"Justin Randall Timberlake!" I laughed as he carried me over to the pool.
He laughed and threw me in. Practically everyone was in the pool. We all laughed and splashed eachother.
Ava was on Justin's shoulders and Jonathon's girlfriend Haley was on Jonathon's. They were having a chicken fight.
I looked over and saw Randall watching us all. He noticed me and smiled at me. I smiled and turned my attention back to the chicken fight.
I was watching Ava and Justin. They look like the perfect couple. I really hope these two will be together one day. Maybe Justin will be happy again.

Destinatus
Volume 1: Follows the story of an amnesiac named Gratus whose narrative reflects the fragmentation in his mind. His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.

8 174Free Your Mind
A journey through the mind can be a mixture of the good, the bad, the pure, and the evil. Free Your Mind is a collection of poems and short stories that I've written over the years. As of now, this book is still in progress, but I've planned to release at least 25 to 30 chapters minimum for Free Your Mind. Hopefully you enjoy reading through the works already published for this book, and I hope you'll stick around for what's to come in the future. If you have any comments, ideas, critiques, etc. please let me know! I'm always open to what people have to say about my work. Free Your Mind is a way for me to dabble into releasing my writings for the public to read. And hopefully, if all goes decent with this book, I'll continue to upload different works alongside this. Note: Currently the cover work for Free Your Mind isn't mine. I plan to upload an original design once I've completed the chapters for this book.
