《The Mafia Leader, Damien.》{Chapter 49}

Savannah's pov:
Today Damien texted me and told me to get ready for a surprise date. I was really excited and curious to see what he had up his sleeves.
For some reasons this morning, mom and dad were really happy and excited. Mom couldn't stop smiling and dad tried his best to calm her down before she said something she wasn't supposed to say. They were hiding something from me. Even Elijah and Paigne were being mysterious.
When Damien suddenly texted me about the surprise date, I kinda had an idea about what it might be but I didn't want to put my expectations high. All the signs were pointing at it but I didn't want to assume things.
Right now I was getting ready in my room. Damien sends a dress for our surprise night with a cute note.
Hey Love,
I hope that you are as excited as I am for our date this evening. I bought this dress and I can't wait to see you in this. I know you will rock this dress like you always do in any outfit that you wear (even my shirts). I can't wait to see you in it. See you soon.
Love you,
Damien.

The dress was stunning. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the dress. I was even more surprise when the dress fit me so perfectly. I did my makeup, I did my hair and took my bag. It was now 5:30 pm and that's the time Damien said that he would pick me up.
I made my way downstairs and went into the living room. My parents, Paigne and Elijah were casually sitting on the couch talking to each other. They all turned toward me when they heard me approaching them.
"Oh, my," Paigne gasped looking at me wide-eyed.

"Was that the dress he send you?" Elijah asked and I nodded.
"You look really beautiful. Just like a princess." Even if mom was smiling, I could tell she was sad.
"My little princess... grown too fast," Dad added with a sad smile.
"Why are you two so emotional? I'm just going on a date." I pointed out and they all chuckled. We heard the doorbell rang and Elijah immediately stood up, jogging towards the door.
I walked behind him. He opened the door and my eyes landed on Damien. Like always he looked hot and handsome.
"Hi," Both Elijah and Damien handshake.
Damien shifted his gaze on me and his eyes widened slightly. He let his eyes go up and down and a smile formed on his lips.
"Damien,"
Dad walked behind me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"She is ready," Dad stated and Damien nodded.
"We need to go now if we don't want to miss the surprise," Damien said looking at me.
"Let's go."
I walked by his side and we both made our way to his car. He opened the door for me and I sat down. He walked to the driver seat and sat down.
"I didn't have the chance to say it earlier when I saw you so I will say it now... you look stunning. Words can't even express how you look right now." He stated as he started to drive.
Way to make me feel the butterflies in my stomach...
"Well thank you after all this dress was your choice," I replied smiling.
"I have a good choice, huh?" he chuckled looking at me.
"You do,"
------
Forty-five minutes of drives and we finally reach the destination. He parked the car and went to open my door. He held his hand out and I grabbed it. I stepped out of the door and he instantly leaned to kiss my lips.

"I need to control myself tonight." He murmured pulling away. I let out a chuckled before peaking his lips one more time.
"Let's go now."
We both walked to the main door and I instantly smell the ocean. We walked a few steps further and I could see the beach. I removed my heels and he removed his shoes. He guided me to the surprise.
"That's the first part. Sunset dinner." He smiled. He pulled the chair for me and I sat down. He went to the other seat and sat down.
"I already order our food." He informed me and I nodded. We both looked around and talked about casual things while waiting for our food.
--------
Dinner was amazing. We were now walking on the sand to the second part of the surprise. Damien had his arm around my shoulder and he would occasionally pull me to his side and kissed my head.
A gasp escaped my lips when I saw the sight in front of me.
"We have to wait here before our final and third surprise." He told me. I made my way to the bed while walking on the path made with the leaves. It looks so beautiful. I sat on the bed and Damien joined me.
"How do you like it so far?" He asked nervously.
"I love it." I wrapped my arm around his neck, moving to straddle him. He smiled looking at my lips.
"Do not tempt me." He warned playfully.
"What if I do?" I asked innocently and he raised an eyebrow.
"No,"
I pouted and he reached to wrap his arm around my back. He pulled me on him and hugged tightly. I laid my head on his shoulder, enjoying his company.
A few minutes later, his phone vibrated and he looked at it.
"It's time." He said and I frowned.
"For what?" I asked confused. We both stood up and he grabbed my hand again.
"For the final part."
He guided me to a restaurant entry and stopped.
"Walk in first," he smiled.
I walked up the stairs and the sight had me frozen.
I could already read the note and I felt my eyes tearing.
"Walk closer," he murmured beside me. I looked at him and he gestured me to walk further. With shaky legs, I walked closer to the end of the red petal path.
Will you marry me?
"Savannah,"
I turned around and he was already on one of his knees with the ring in his hand. I let out a shaky breath, my eyes filled with happy tears.
"Since we have been together you have made me feel more complete, more alive and have shown me the true meaning of happiness. I am a better person with you by my side. Will you Savannah, marry me and make me the happiest person on earth?" He asked and I nodded.
"Y-yes," I said. As soon as he put the ring around my finger I heard clapping and cheering. I looked behind me and everyone was here. Mom, Dad, Elijah, Paigne, Uncle Ladon, Aunt Amy, Bryan, Cade, Uncle Blake, Aunt Eva, Trey, Lydia, Uncle Colton, Aunt Casey, Garett, Prescott, Crawford, Zach and Laura.
Damien grabbed my face and crashed his lips on mine. After a few seconds, we pulled away, his hand still around my waist.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.

Makemake
"Makemake—a planet that is found in the far edges of the system known as Sol—was once a metropolis, like all of the other planets that populate the system. Now, like all of the others, it lies as a Sleeping City, forever dormant. No one lives there anymore—it has been vacant for years. In one of the massive cities that used to have a population that was in high numbers a sound could be heard. A distant sound. A beep, or a call, a message—whatever it was, it was an electronic noise. It echoed through the dust cloud filled landscape. The sound went on for a long time. It sat in a sea of quiet; no other noise rolled over the hills and bounced off the ground—only that noise. Only that beep."

Authority [Dropped]
Notice: Updates are set to every other day. Or to be precise every 2-3 days. Thank you! "The theory of evolution was introduced by Charles Darwin and it baffled the world. Going by the same principle as Darwin's theory all living organisms by nature are capable of evolution to an extent. Evolution in games are always just limited however this is not a game but rather reality. However the only thing that stagnates the whole premise of evolution is the environment. Environment is always the number one factor of evolution. Going by that logic. Stimulation for survival is needed to evolve and better suit the environment. " - Titus

[Schedule is currently a bit borked due to poor health, looking to finish up the first section of this book by the end of the year then back to a regular schedule in January] This is a kitchen sink space opera. The Nomad: A Starforged ttrpg Playthrough
Life in The Forge is rarely fun, least of all when you've got an AI that wants to turn you over to the authorities, a stolen ship full of creepy cult shit, and you've pissed off the only guy in the Devil's Helix who doesn't want you dead through sheer incompetence. Unfortunately for Ash, worst courier in the helix, that's his day-to-day. When he gets offered an opportunity to get back into this boss's good graces (and finally get something decent to eat), Ash jumps at the chance, even if that means getting tangled back up with figures he'd rather leave in the past. This is a solo play log of Shawn Tomkin's ttrpg Starforged, as such, even I don't know what's going to happen next! Enjoy the ride!
