Savannah's pov:
We have been in the store for two hours. We've been looking at the prices and the bought a lot of stuff. Damien had to go back and brought another shopping cart for us.
We didn't see Crawford or Zach at all.
"Shouldn't we go and see where Crawford and Zach went?" I asked putting some baby soap in the cart.
"Yeah, let's finish with this aisle and we will look for them."
We looked around and pick 4 soft towels for the children. We then made our way to the toys section.
"It's been two hours since they came here and they are still in the toy section?" I asked and Damien shrugged.
"Let's see what they were up to."
We walked to the aisle and I gasped at the sight.
"Why am I not surprise." Damien murmured beside me.
Zach and Crawford were both wearing a cowboy hat and was riding a mini electronic car.
"You lost four times, give up already!" Zach stated and Crawford glared at him.
"You cheated! You push me to the side." Crawford pointed out.
"Did they even buy the toys?" I asked Damien and he shakes his head no.
"Doesn't seems like it."
"Ok at 3 we go again," Crawford said and I sighed.
They both counted and race to the end of the aisle, making their way toward us. Thankfully the shopping cart was in front of us and they stopped a few meters away from it.
"I won again!" Zach cheered standing up.
"Whatever." Crawford sighed, stepping out of the mini car.
"Did you guys even buy the toys or were you just playing around?" Damien asked and they pointed at their back. We looked and found two carts full of different toys.

"Isn't that a bit too much?" I asked shocked.
"Well, we don't know what they might like so we pick almost everything," Crawford said rubbing his neck.
"And we will be paying for these two shopping carts," Zach added.
"Well I guess we have everything that's on the list," I said and they nodded.
We walked to the cashier and pay for all the stuff. We all put our money and paid. We had to carry all the bags to the car and they were all heavy and big. Many people stared at us as we walked to the parking lot.
"Well that was a work-out," Crawford said and we chuckled.
"Is there anything else to buy?" Zach asked and I shake my head no.
"We got everything," I said and they nodded.
"We need to bring these bags to the mansion," Damien said.
"Well, we will let you two go. We need to reach the office in 20 minutes for a meeting." Crawford said and Damien nodded.
"I'll drop you-"
"No, I already call the driver." Zach interrupts Damien.
"Alright then, we'll leave you," Damien said and they nodded.
Damien and I sat in his car and he drove us to the mansion where all the orphanage kids will be staying.
"Now that that's done, we need to find an interior designer for the new orphanage," Damien said, breaking the silence.
"Did you already find one?" I asked curiously. I might know two people that would take this job.
"Not yet. But I'll find one." He said.
"I might know two people who will do it. I just need to call them and ask them if they are free." I said and he glanced at me.

"That's fine. If they aren't free then I'll find someone else." He shrugged and I nodded.
We reached the mansion and I was shocked when I stepped out of the car. It looked so beautiful from the outside. The front yard was filled with red roses.
"Wow." I murmured looking at the sight.
"It's beautiful, isn't it."
"Yeah," I said still awed by the view.
"Let's pick the bags and I'll show you the inside." He said and I nodded. I helped him to carry the bag and we walked to the front porch.
I opened the door and put the bags to the side. I grabbed the bags from Savannah and let her walked inside. She was looking around, awed by the decoration.
I let her admire the view in front of her while I admire her. She looked curious. I know she wanted to have a look around and I'll definitely show her.
"Come on, I'll show you around," I said, catching her attention. She looked at me and nodded. I walked to the kitchen and she followed. I made her visit every corner of the mansion and she looked fascinated.
We came back to the living room and I guide her to the backyard.
"Oh my god." She gasped surprised.
"Was this always here or did you arranged that for the kids?" She asked looking at me.
"It was always here," I replied and she looked back at the playground.
"Do you want to go on the trampoline?" I asked walking close to it. I opened the zip for the entrance and turned to look at Savannah.
"Will you join me if I say yes?" She asked and I chuckled.
"Maybe." I shrugged. She moved closer to me and put her bag down. She removes her shoes and took off her thin jacket. She hops on and turned toward me.
"Come on." She smiled.
I removed my shoes and hope on with her. She started to jump, making me hold the edge so that I don't fall down.
"Are you just going to stand there? Come on." She insisted and I started to jump.
It's been so long since I came here and used the trampoline. I think I never used the trampoline before. It was always Zach and Crawford that would jump when we come here. If they were here, they would have been surprised to see me jumping on this.
"That's tiring," Savannah said, the smile never leaving her face. And that's all that matters.

Numbers Continually Going Upward
The world has very politely ended in the most webfiction way possible. Everyone is now leveling up in various things. Problems are arising. Some or all of those problems may be based around how to have a community barbeque when the nearest cow has been teleported to a few thousand miles away, along with the nearest supermarket. Join our protagoinst as he attempts to be a cool person, while everything falls apart. _____It turns out that any attempt to write a parody of the litrpg genre through overuse of the concept of leveling up inevitably fails when it turns out that *that is what the genre is based on*. Still, this was a fun little candy project of mine, and I might write more of it.

But instead of safety, every step brings them closer to danger: sky pirates, cannibals, and a relentless soulless scourge unleashed by their enemy are all intent on killing Lian—or worse. Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
