Savannah's outfit⬆️
Savannah's pov:
This morning, we reached the office early. Elijah and I had some work to complete before Damien came to take us to the orphanage.
The office's phone rang and I took it.
"Hello?"
"Ma'am Mr Russo is here," Ashley informed me.
"I'll be downstairs in 5 minutes," I said glancing at the clock. It was 12:33 pm.
I hang up and grabbed my handbag. I walked to Elijah's office and knocked. I opened the door and saw him working on his laptop.
"He is here, we need to go," I said and Elijah sighed.
"Sav, I think you will have to go alone. I have a lot of things to complete and I have an important meeting in 10 minutes." He explained and I sighed.
"Alright, I'll go," I said and he smiled.
I walked out of his office and made my way to the elevator.
----
I stepped out of the elevator and walked to the front desk. I immediately saw Damien standing near the desk. When he saw me, he straightened himself. Today he was wearing a nice cream colour suit. I noticed that a lot of the staff were looking at him but he ignored them.
"Hi," he said once I was closer to him.
"Hi," I replied.
"Ready to go? Where is Elijah?" He asked curiously.
"Elijah won't be able to come, he has some important work to complete," I explained and he nodded.
He made his way out and I follow him. He held the door open for me and I walked out first. We walked to his car and sat down.
"Where are Crawford and Zach?" I asked when I noticed that the car was empty.
"They have a meeting to attend and they won't be able to finish quickly." He said and started to drive.

The ride was comfortable. We talk occasionally and after 25 minutes we reached the orphanage. We stepped out of the car and I looked around. The building looks really old.
We walked to the front porch and I cringe at the sound of the wood cracking. I was afraid that my heels would make a hole in the wood.
"Maybe I should remove my heels before going inside," I said looking at my heels.
"No, don't remove them. You might get hurt with the unpolish wood if you walk barefoot." He pointed out before knocking on the door.
How can children live in this unsafe place?
The door opened and a lady walked out.
"Mr Russo." She greeted Damien and turned toward me, "And who is this lovely lady?"
"Mrs Janet meet Miss Ross. We will be working on the new project together." Damien said and Mrs Janet nodded.
"It's nice to meet you, Miss Ross." She smiled.
"Call me Savannah." I smiled back.
"She wants to look around before we start working on it," Damien said and Mrs Janet nodded.
"Of course, come in."
We walked inside and I looked around. This place needs to be redone soon. We walked by some rooms and I saw a lot of children sitting on the floor playing. They shared their rooms. We pass through another room and I stopped when I saw five babies laying on a big bed. They were playing with their feet and there was only one pillow in between them.
"Is that their room?" I asked, my eyes still on them. They looked so skinny but they were cute babies.
"Yeah, we don't have any spare room so I keep them with me." Mrs Janet explained.
We walked to what I guess was the living room. There were only one t.v and some couches in the room.

"That's pretty much everything to see." Mrs Janet said looking around.
"Do you have a backyard?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah, we do have one. Follow me." She said and walked to another room. She opened a door which leads to the backyard. The backyard was dull. There were only a few toys on the grass.
"Mrs Janet, this is for you."
I turned around and saw Damien giving her a cheque. She looked at it and hesitate to take it.
"Why are y-"
"No, take it. I want you to take it and buy whatever you need for the week." Damien stated.
"The week?" Mrs Janet asked confused.
"Yeah, the kids and you will be moving to a safer place in a few days while we re-built the orphanage," Damien explained.
I was surprised that Damien already thought so much for the kids. I was still processing everything I just see but I was glad that the children would be moving to a more secure place.
"Thank you a lot." Mrs Janet said sincerely and Damien nodded.
"We should probably leave now," Damien said looking at me and I nodded.
We walked back to the front door and walked to the car. We sat down and he drove.
"Where will the kids and Mrs Janet move?" I asked glancing at him.
"I have a mansion not too far from here and I don't really use it that much. I asked Crawford to have someone clean it up. The kids and Mrs Janet can use it for a few weeks." He explained and I nodded.
"So you already plan everything?" I asked and he shook his head no.
"Not everything. I only thought about the main ideas." He said, his eyes fixed on the road.
"What are the main ideas?" I asked curiously.
"Well for one, where will the kids and Mrs Janet going to stay, for two, I have to buy some groceries and other baby stuff for the mansion so that when they go there, they have some new thing to use and for the last one, I need to design a new model for the new orphanage." He explained and I was impressed.
"Is there any way I can help?" I asked and he nodded.
"Actually I was going to ask you to look after the baby products because I don't know anything about these." He admitted and I chuckled.
"I can do that." I agreed.
"And I'm going to talk to the builder about the new design tomorrow, do you want to come along?" He asked as he glanced at me.
"Sure," I replied.
