EPILOGUE
Eric released a groan before waking up to an unfamiliar ceiling, his eyes were filled with confusion for but a moment before he sat up fully alert. Elise walked in allowing him to calm down as he saw a familiar face.
Eric: “Elise thank God, exactly where are we?”
Agent Michaels: “I can answer that”
Eric looked to the side to see Agent Michaels who followed straight behind Elise. Agent Michaels had a lax look on his face wile Eric stared at him with a look that said start-talking-right-now.
Agent Michaels: “This is one of the E.V.O’s many hidden bases”
Eric: “so we are out of the U.K”
Agent Michaels: “In Africa, Ghana to be precise. You passed out after… you know.”
Eric bowed his head as memories of what had transpired took place.
Agent Michaels: “Eric we have decided to help you, you have been through a lot and we would like to help you have a fresh start”
Eric hearing this looked to Elise who was at his side before showing her a smile.
*********
Things were not as peaceful in the U.K, order had been returned to Walsall but reporters swarmed over to inquire about what exactly had happened. The officials gave another story removing all stories concerning Demi-Humans alongside the New Order.
Eric who had been recorded was described as nothing more than a mad man who went on a massacre and was eventually gunned down. This brought about the end to the story of the Ripper who took headlines for the weeks to come, unbeknownst to them this was the beginning of the story of Lycan as well as the opening to a larger universe.
*******
Above a building watching what was going on below were two men. One was dressed like a surfer with a couple of shades on by his side was a man dressed in a sharp suit.

Surfer dude: “so, one of our kind?”
Man in suit: “Indeed, an interesting one as well”
Surfer dude: “What now?”
Man in suit: “We ignore him... for now”
With those words the man in the suit’s eyes glowed a bright purple as his shadow rose and swallowed both him and the surfer dude. In the next moment both of them were no longer there.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge - Editathon in progress ] Lexie Archer's life needs a reboot. And the remote village of Albatross Bay, where she's just inherited a surprise shack from her famous [Mystery Writer] aunt, seems like the perfect place! But the reality of island farming is different than Lexie imagined, and while she waits for her crops to come in, she needs to make ends meet. When the Albatross Bay Adventurer's Guild puts up a quest on the local quest board to help promote their new training dungeon and attract adventurers to the small village, Lexie jumps at the chance to put some of her old [Junior Publicity Assistant] skills to good use. But when an adventurer is murdered in the dungeon, jeopardizing everything the town has worked for, Lexie and her [Dungeon Liaison], the kobold Przemyslaw have to solve the murder and prove the monsters aren't responsible before their dungeon license gets revoked. Inspired by Stardew Valley, Murder, She Wrote, and Welcome to Nightvale, Murder on the Minecart Express contains light LitRPG, village slice-of-life, quirky locals, a kobold bakery, and murder most foul. This is the second short story within the Incant universe. Recent work developments have made the release of my latest chapter a bit of an issue. WIll release as soon as possible.
