First floor.
The boy stared at the interface screen in front of him, he thought about the goblins and looked at the girl, "Selena, you should keep going on upgrading the intelligence." The boy said before staring back at the interface screen in front of him.
[ Host: Leo
Level 2: 15xp/300xp
Race: Human
Health: 100/100
Mana: 10/10

Leo upgraded his perception stat and his sense of danger increased, he saw his sister was about to step on the stairs leading to the second floor. "Stop!" Selene who was about to step on the stairs turned her head and looked at her brother, above her head was a question mark.
"Don't go there, it's dangerous!"
Leo said since he upgraded the perception stat he could feel dangerous energy above him, which is obviously the second floor. Maybe a monster was hiding there... at that thought, Leo's heart skips a beat. Selena nodded her head she trusted his brother because he was the one who perceives danger, earlier he notices something is wrong and they started to ran who knew he hit the nail, a horde of goblins was waiting for them!
"Quick, upgrade your intelligence!"
Leo said this sister of his was always following him, he was carrying a heavy burden when they are in danger, he can only hope that they will get stronger so that those monsters will need to think twice before messing with them. Selena pouted but stared at the interface screen that appeared in front of her.
[ Host: Selena

"Done!"
Selena said while her brother Leo was looking around, not far from them was Marcus who had a strange expression on his face. These two also had systems? had system became cabbage? It seemed the people also have systems. Marcus tried to catch their stats but it was useless, he was staring at the air while they were looking at their system, which means the security and privacy were top notch!
If Marcus saw the additional Agility stat he would surely complain, others have agility stat while he doesn't have one. Thinking for a bit Marcus thought of the system and the familiar interface screen appeared in front of him, this time there were some changes.
[ Host: Marcus
Level 2: 100xp/300xp
Race: Ghost
Health: N/A
Mana: N/A
Strength: N/A
Intelligence: 50
Vitality: N/A
Perception: N/A
Stamina: N/A
Current points: 1 ]
Marcus now leveled up! one goblin was ten xp and he wiped out twenty of them so he gained 200xp! Wow, that's a lot, but how should he spend these precious points? Actually, was there a need for a strategy on spending points? he only has intelligence so of course, he tapped on the plus button beside the intelligence stat and it rose to 51.
Marcus felt his mind... nothing actually change, oh my gosh did I get scammed!?
As Marcus was thinking about this strange phenomenon his ears perked up when he heard what the two people said. He knew that boy's name is Leo while his sister is Selena, anyway they are kids in his eyes.
The world change?
A strange object would reach the earth in one year?
All the people have systems? I already knew that.
Monster started to appear and once they killed them they would be stronger?
As I thought something happened!

Marcus was impassive, anyway what that got to do with me, if I can get out of this house I would fight with monsters and get stronger!
While Marcus was bathing in his imaginations, Leo had a solemn expression.
"Sister, tomorrow we will get out of this house and see if we can find some food."
Selena nodded her head, actually, she wants to stay in this house although it looked old she felt some security. Maybe since the goblins suddenly died so she thinks that this house is safe. But Leo was completely different, it was better to get out of this house as fast as possible. Dangers are lurking in this house, however, it was dangerous to go outside.
Time passed, and night came.
Leo and his sister were now staying in the house, Selena was sleeping on the sofa while Leo was awake, what if a monster suddenly popped out and attack them? or what if a boss appeared and they would get killed? If Marcus knew his thoughts he would just shake his head. You are overthinking bro!
Marcus looked at the two again and stepped into the stairs.
. . .
Second Floor.
Marcus stared at the stars, now he was not alone but that Leo wants to get out of his house tomorrow. How envious, they can come and go while he can't get out of this house. Haiz stars look at me I am so pitiful.
Since he was bored he thought of the system and the interface screen appeared, he swipes it and the skill tree showed up.
[ Skill Tree.
Cold element level 1 to upgrade level 2 needs 20 points.
Icy Snake level 1 to upgrade lv 2 needs 10 points.
Current points: 0 ]
0 points, do the points on the skill tree and status connected? Marcus would try this if he leveled up, if it's connected he would not upgrade the intelligence stat because there was really no point. Apart from being scammed the intelligence points is already high. He would focus on the two skills, especially the Icy Snake.
. . .
The sun rose and light enveloped the surroundings, Leo and his sister already got out of the house while Selena gave the house a last look before following her brother. Marcus didn't need to sleep because it's useless. He doesn't feel tired so he watches night turned to day, on the window he watched the two figures that slowly blurred as they ran into the distance.
"Tree, we are alone again."
Marcus thought before deciding to start an experiment, he thought that Icy Snake skill has some flaw, it could only move forward what if the enemy was fast? Thinking about assassins Marcus immediately began.
"Icy snake."
The blue circle turned into cyan and the blue snake that appeared also turned into cyan, its eyes were pure cyan one look from it could induce fear. What happened? Marcus looked at the changes then watch as the Cyan snake launched itself to the wall.
The wall that was frozen slowly freeze it was like adding two layers of ice. Now Marcus made the walls tough so he will find it harder to get out of this house... damn!

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Dark blood
A young man oblivious to the blinding lights until the end, presented with a choice, makes a decision that will influence his life. In a far away land, a woman births a stillborn, the homes of thousands are in danger, and a world that is filled with all kinds of dangers, magical energies, and untold treasures is about to enter an age of turmoil and conflict. An age of death, destruction, and slaughtering of the innocent. In such a world, a cry of anguish can lead to a small hope, a cry of desperation can lead to a warm and loving embrace , and a cry of helplessness can lead to freedom. Will one man rise above all, or will he fail to stand up from the dirt from whence he came? We can only find out in the future, can't we? PS: This is my first fiction, so I would really appreciate some feedback, since I don't know if it is any good at all. Also, the creator of the cover is winRoot. If you want a good cover or something illustrated, he is a very good artist and will take commisions. I highly recommend him.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. Swamy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Thanks @DameCarnelian for the cover. Just so people don't get confused, that ship is not Raka's ship :)

The Book of Hickory
Now why did Hickory go and punch that Angel? Sure it spooked him, popping up right there at lunch, and yet, it wasn't fear that balled his hand into a fist - Cause wouldn't you? Wouldn't anyone - with a sick Ma at home, Da long dead, buried, all them prayers piling up on bruised knees, unanswered? Hickory was angry, all right. He was fierce, now - cause that Angel didn't show up to give no help, that Angel came by asking for it - with all that power just plain to see, the power to fix the world and all that ails it! And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? Now how is he supposed to do that when its taking near everything he's got - just to keep them chickens safe, Ma fed, and himself out of trouble - All he wanted was maybe just a dance with May, maybe a bit more, to hold her close? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
