Marcus stared at the interface screen in front of him, what is this? this is familiar... Marcus walked in a circle to his room and the interface screen was still there, he casually touches and his fingers passed through them. "A system? like in games?" Marcus knew this thing, he played games so he knew what these stats for. But what is N/A?
"Okay, let me see."
Marcus notices that he can swipe the interface screen and as he did the interface screen changed.
[ Skill Tree.
Cold element level 0 to upgrade level 1 needs 5 points.
Current points: 5 ]
"As I thought it was like a game, the cold element is my only skill, upgrade!"
Marcus clicked the upgrade button beside the cold element and a foreign knowledge was transmitted to his mind, he knew now what cold is... well he already knew that, and then some knowledge was extremely foreign to him. This is called magic yes that should be it.
After the process of transmitting knowledge was done the interface screen changed.
[ Skill Tree.
Cold element level 1 to upgrade level 2 needs 20 points.
Icy Snake level 1 to upgrade lv 2 needs 10 points.
Current points: 0 ]
"New skill? This icy snake should be strong."
Marcus clicked the icy snake and more information appeared on the interface screen.
[ Icy snake: Summon a 1-meter icy snake and whoever hits will be freeze, last for 5 seconds. ]
"Not bad!"
Marcus clicked the interface screen like he found a new toy to play with, but then a thought popped in his mind.
"Even if I have a system what can I do?"
Yes, what he can do? he can't get out of his house and he was level 1 how was he going to level up? Haiz poor me!

"To vent this unwillingness Icy Snake!"
Marcus shouted and a blue circle appeared in front of him then a 1-meter blue snake appeared launching itself forward, the blue snake hits the wall and the result was the wall was frozen.
"Good, this skill is not bad."
Marcus looked at the frozen wall, if he destroys this wall would he finally able to walk out of this house? Not bad years of being locked here make me smart.
So Marcus shouted "Icy Snake." and the blue circle appeared then a 1-meter blue snake got out of the blue circle and launched itself to the wall.
After five times of Icy Snake, the wall was frozen to death... the room was transformed into an icy house but Marcus didn't felt the cold temperature because his heart was crying in bitterness.
The walls are frozen not destroyed! he really can't stay in his house any longer.
Even the system can't deal with his problem, haiz even the system can't afford to mess with life.
. . .
It's been a few days since Marcus got the system but he didn't bother with it, he can't level up so what is the use? He felt like he was losing something important to him, every day the boredom feeling grew, and maybe one day he would be called a crazy ghost.
"So boring, only that tree there is here for me, if you are a person I would love you."
Marcus thought to himself, of course, if the tree became a person he hopes that person is a girl. Thinking about girls haiz he was not interested anymore no he was not interested in everything anymore.
As Marcus was thinking about his bitter life a loud noise rang in the distance.
"Oh!"
Marcus was immediately alerted! he moves his head outside the window and looked to his left, two people were running from his house, looking closely he could make out their gender. The one running at the front is a boy while behind him was a girl, and then behind them were ugly monsters. Wait... ugly monsters?

"It seemed something evil was happening in the world. If it's in the past I would be scared now I am excited."
Marcus looked at them once more and make a few guesses, the two should have been running for their lives and those ugly monsters their skin was green so without a doubt they are goblins. Damn, I am smart.
Blue circles appeared in front of him and a one-meter blue snake appeared and launch itself forward, after the blue snake launch itself another blue snake appeared and launch itself forward.
In the blink of an eye, thirty one-meter blue snakes appeared and they all move forward, they passed the two kids and open their mouths biting the heads of the goblins.
Boom!
The goblins that were pursuing the two people stopped moving and fell to the ground, their heads were frozen like frozen meat in this case a frozen head. The number of goblins finally becomes clear they numbered twenty no wonder the two people were running for their life.
Thirty one-meter blue snakes are too much for these goblins to handle they were just pursuing the two people when death appeared in front of them, sigh life itself is the greatest plot twist they are strong but in the blink of an eye, all of them was dead.
The boy at the front turned his head and his eyes opened wide, he was shocked! What happened? Why the goblins suddenly died? The girl behind him also had shocked expressions.
Seeing their shocked expressions Marcus fell into deep thought, "Why is there goblin here? And why the goblins didn't evade my attack? maybe they are so scared that they can't move ah yes that's it.
The boy who was shocked slowly recovered, did they got themselves another trouble? is there a monster here and see that its base was being attacked so it killed the goblins?
If Marcus knew his thoughts he would exclaim! You are overthinking bro!
The boy and the girl notice the house standing not far away from them, they looked at each other before running towards the house.
. . .
"Finally, visitors!"
Marcus watched the two as they opened the front door and stepped inside the house, the house was really old as the furniture has long been gone, the sofa was a mess but the two were looking around they are cautious, after inspecting around they calmed down.
The house had a second floor and the stairs were also old one could say the only thing you could describe in the house was the word old!
. . .
Second floor.
Marcus was looking at the stairs leading to the first floor, it's been long because his room was on the second floor and he didn't visit the first floor because there was really no point. On the second floor at least he could stare at the tree for a long period of time that was his entertainment. It was simple that he wants to cry.
He walked towards the stairs to see what these two people would bring to his house.

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region

The Archaic Elements
A fantasy world, its own unique power-up system, some mystery aspects to make it look interesting and an MC that should make sense but well messes up, cause plot. Flashy fights. Characters will use their brain, unless it is an arrogant young master that needs to be taught a lesson. The starting is slow and maybe boring. The main MC does not desire great strength or harbor any great ambition. He starts out as a naive, lazy and a boring person. But the story does hold one aspect which will fuel the growth of our MC, which is his boundless curiosity for adventure and his will to explore. The second MC is a reincarnation/transmigration and he has a clear cut aim that he needs to achieve. His past life experiences also becomes a pillar that will help guide the main MC, while his friend also supports him. The writing is slow and steady. I will provide reasonings behind most happenings and keep it a logical story. It's a WIP as I edit the previous chapters even as I release more, so while the content doesn't change, the style and smoothness improve. The current release rate is 3 chapter/week. There is no specific date as I can get sidetracked or forgetful., but I will try to stick to Tues, Thurs and Sunday releases.
