CHAPTER 22: ESCAPE (5)
Time 1:40
Under the starry sky, Blu stood gazing into the beyond, searching for the Commander as he held on to Aria's hand.
*Dum*
The air grew heavy, filling the surroundings with an emanating feeling of fear. As Blu turned, facing behind, he noticed the Commander.
There, the Commander stood gallantly, with his sword held around his torso while glaring at them intensely.
On noticing this, Blu swiftly pushed Aria behind him, while the Commander opened his mouth to say.
"Well, well, if it isn't the defect".
"You all certainly did a splendid job with the whole explosion".
"You have my thanks".
*Fwoosh*
A large pool of aura emanating instantly. It was large enough to consume both Blu and Aria.
*Thump*
As the aura filled up. Aria instantly fell to the ground in response to the heavy aura.
*Pant*
Meanwhile, Blu breathed heavily, sweating profusely as he felt pains from the aura blocking his airway.
With the intense aura the commander gave, Blu was rendered immobile, trembling in fear of dying.
*Clench*
Enduring the Commander's Aura, Blu clench onto his fist with an unwavering resolve to respond back, as he opened his mouth slowly to say.
"I-I am not a defect... My name is Blu".
"Haha ha... not bad from a defect",
He said with a large menacing grin. His expression was truly terrifying.
"From being able to resist my kill intent, I reckon you're responsible for all this".
*Bleugh*
Coughing out a mouthful of blood, Blu felt his entire body being squished inside out. Being rendered immobile from the tension, Blu was again troubled, as he couldn't do anything yet again, so he asked.
"What do you want from us?"
"All we ever wanted was to see the world outside the walls",
The Commander wore a smile on his expression saying.
"Hah?! The world outside the walls?"
Following a huge laugh, he said.
"Haaahha! So all you wanted was to see the world outside the world... Let me tell a little fact: there is no world outside these walls. All you witnessed in those books you read was the world before the Great Catastrophy".
Shocked by the Commander's words. He could only doubt his words as a sign of relief from the flagitious utterance the Commander made.

"What? That's a lie",
The Commander then repeated his astounding revelation with more clarity as he replied.
"Lie, you think this is a lie, where do you think all those klaur came from,
Why is it that there is only snow and it never drys up? The world you knew was dead centuries ago".
Blu was petrified, as he could only ponder.
— No, that can't be... My dreams of how my second life should be. This is utterly unfair,
Why am I reincarnated in this hell?
Thereafter, the Commander said.
"It seems like I would have to teach you how cruel this world is".
*Fwoosh*
In an instant, Blu felt the gush of the wind brushing his body. Immediately, Blu then noticed Aria, who was behind him, clearly at his view.
"Huh".
Swiftly, on noticing this, Blu attempted to forcefully move, but couldn't due to the aura. As Blu glanced behind her, he noticed the Commander drawing his sword from his waist, raising it into the air.
Meanwhile, he said to Blu.
"It seems like you treasure your friends a lot...",
He then drew his sword a bit close to Aria's neck.
"But...".
Afterwards, as his eyes were glued to the sword's movement, he noticed over the sight of sword aim—Aria was smiling, in a weird way.
—Why? Why is she smiling?
Blu instinctively knew her smile wasn't so apparent, as he felt a sense of help screaming from behind her expression.
On first sight, Blu couldn't notice the sign it gave off, but the one thing that made him noticed was as Aria whispered something under her breath, but it wasn't clearly heard.
"...".
Once again, Blu felt an instant shock throughout his body. It was the same feeling he had every time another of his family was going to be killed in front of him.
Instinctively, he shouted out at the top of his lungs, while he moved his body, exerting all the mana in his body, to force a way out of the intense aura of the Commander.
*Whir*
Blu felt an awful amount of strains on his body as the mana in him ran wildly, pushing him forth.
"Please... Please stop... Please don't, I would do anything you say, please don't kill her!!"

As he adapted through the aura of the Commander.
*Thump*
He landed, face first into the snow. While the Commander said.
"Lesson 1: If you keep friends, they become your weakness and die".
*Ba-thump*
—Why? Is this happening.
In that moment, everything appeared slowly. As he rose his head, he glanced at them.
*Ba-thump*
—Why am I here again, watching?
His eyes dilated over the devastating sight of the Commander splicing off Aria's neck.
*Ba-thump*
—Huh?!
Blu observed as her blood spew sending off a strong smell of red blood permeating Blu's nose.
*Ba-thump*
—It was a strong sense of iron.
*Thud*
*Roll*
Blu's eyes were fixed on the sight of her head falling to the ground and rolling down towards his front.
*Ba-thump*
—I see... She's dead.
On sight of her severed head,
As her head stopped in his front. Blu was beyond shocked over the development. He was frozen still, with his eyes imitating a hollow husk with a blank expression on himself—emotionless.
*Ba-thump*
Blu felt his heartbeat over the rising slowly, while his mind went blank for a while.
"Kill...".
He then whispered over something under his breath. The Commander looked in wonder of what he said while he strolled over to Blu, who was down on the ground.
*Thud*
He stopped over at Blu, clutching his sword over Blu's head as he gazed down at Blu defenseless.
"I'm going to kill you!!"
Blu shouted out at the top of his lungs, rising his head up in the gaze of the Commander. Meanwhile, his iris glowed a bright blue color for a few seconds.
*Jolt*
'Huh? What was that?'
On noticing this, the Commander felt a sharp surging sensation that left the impression of fear on his face.
Slowly Blu rose up with his legs wobbling as he felt his legs giving up after escaping the intense aura.
*Swoosh*
He then rushed forth in an attempt of delivering a punch onto the Commander, with his right fist raised high up aiming at his face.
*Fwoosh*
The Commander evaded his attack, fluttering while gliding as he drifted right a few steps back.
*Ba-thump*
—Why? Did I fail to save anyone.
*Swoosh*
Seeing as his attacks were evaded, he instantly switched counterattacking with the rapid movement of his left fist aimed again at the commander in an attempt of following up with a left punch.
*Fwoosh*
The Commander again evaded his attack in a similar pattern, by fluttering from his fist to the left.
Blu continued to throw out punches with the whole force of his body, whilst the Commander evaded his attacks. Over for a while of the continuous cycle.
*Swoosh*
Throwing out a heavy punch, Blu's body also reacted as the force pulled his body over forth.
As the Commander noticed this, he dashed forth, throwing out a wild punch to Blu blind-spot—his bowel
*Keuk*
On impact with the punch, Blu coughed up a mouthful of blood as he felt the punch striking his internal organ while dealing a deadly blow onto it.
*Thud*
Afterwards, Blu fell to the snow, holding on to his bowel as he cowered over with his face down on the ground.
The Commander instantly withdrawn as he noticed Blu trembling. He then said.
"Weak".
Slowly Blu started to rise up, with his left concealing his bowel and his right, giving his body a pillar for stance as he opened his blood-filled mouth to say.
"Am not done yet, t I still won't give up until I kill you".
*Sigh*
Giving out a slight puff of breath, the Commander was left with no option, as Blu's conviction was unfazed no matter how much he loses.
*Shluk!*
Instantly, the Commander stabbed his sword into Blu's pit while leaving it for a few seconds.
*Belch*
Blu coughed up blood a little, showing off on his mouth, meanwhile he slowly retracted his sword and moved his head closer to Blu whispering.
"Do you know the reason, why they all died... Because you are all weak, only the strong live, its either you are weak or strong".
*Thump*
He then pushed Blu slightly onto the ground, while being close to Blu, as he said.
"Lesson 2: If you are weak, your fate is to die".
Blu was left Pondering.
'I see it's all my fate'.
Thereafter, the Commander rose up his sword to deliver a strike on Blu's neck.
*Slash*

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
