CHAPTER 17: PSYCHE (2)
Afterwards, the Commander then said.
"Subject 102, you have been identified as a defect since phase 2,
You are only being here because you have mana and also you can be disposed off anytime. So keep in mind, you are just a simple subject without value,
So sit quietly and wait for your time to be useful".
*Jolt*
Instantly on hearing the Commander's statement, Blu, who was lost in thought, snapped out and paused for a while to say to himself.
'Value? Ha ha value, you are telling me I have no value. I'm going to show you my value as I am, going to burn down everything here, including you'.
He was utterly frustrated with the shocking news on his psyche, the death of his friends, and the lack of sympathy for them.
Nevertheless, the Commander continued on.
"Now, without any delays, let's continue. Firstly, wear on your suits".
*Sigh*
The Commander then glanced at Blu, letting out an audible respiration of air.
"Since we have some test subjects that are dead, leaving behind some suits, you can have those extra spares".
Afterwards, while Blu put on the clad suit, the Commander said.
"This suit is made of 50% Amethyst, created with the best nanotechnology, and adapts to every condition, therefore they will be your battle suits".
*Clamp*
The suit made a little tingling sound after being put on by Blu. It looked like the suit hugged Blu.
"After you get used to them, you are all to endeavor here, as we attempt to measure up your mana capacity for creating your custom weapons".
*Thud*
Then came some [men in white] who brought out a giant transparent crystal that clearly reflected the sun's rays afterwards, bringing a blue tab to the commander. Pointing out to the crystal, the Commander said.
"For now, let's measure your mana capacity.
Starting with subject 100".
*Thud*
Aria then stepped forth.

"Now place your hand on the crystal".
Instantly, she then placed her hands slightly on the crystal as it glowed a Maya blue light on contact.
The Commander then glanced at the tab and said
"Subject 100, mana capacity 254".
Later on, the rest followed.
"Subject 101, mana capacity 354".
"Subject 105, mana capacity 423".
"Subject 108, mana capacity 452".
"Subject 109, mana capacity 355".
"OK, that's all".
The Commander clearly ignored the existence of Blu, knowing that he was nothing, but Blu noticed that and said.
"Wait, you haven't checked mine".
*Sigh*
"If we do that, would you be pleased? "
"Yes".
"Ok".
Subsequently, Blu then pondered.
'I know that I simply shouted out in the spur of the moment, but I honestly hope now that I get a passing score'.
"Ok, place your hands on the crystal".
As Blu placed his hands on the crystal, only a bit of light blue glitter could be identified.
The Commander glanced at the tab and said.
"Subject 102. Your mana capacity is 100. Well, that's a passing score".
The sudden development shocked Blu to the core. From being dumbfounded, Blu suddenly burst out a smile. With the reason prevailing he still has a reasonable amount of mana.
Of course, the way Blu felt was weird, but knowing that every protagonist must go through a trial, the hopes he had for a better future were still assured.
After measuring all the test subjects, the Commander continued on,
"It seems all of you have above the mana capacity we need, so there is no need for much work".
He then glanced at the test subjects, saying.
"Now for the overview of your psyches".
"Based on the test run you all took".
"Subject 100, phase;
Allows you to switch between physical and spiritual phases,
Your psyche abilities are pleasant, but you need to work more on your time limit".
"Yes sir".
"Subject 101, fire;
Creating fire,
It's a good psyche, but increase your firepower".
"Yes sir".
"Subject 105, light ray;
Creating light rays that are densely hot,
Hmm... Your aim is lacking, fix that".
"Yes sir".
"Subject 108, ice;
Freezing organic and non-organic matter,
It's a fine psyche, but your psyche's average limit is only 1 meter, fix that".
"Yes sir".
"Subject 109, shadow,
Manipulating shadows,
Well, you're lacking in response to your attacks, fix that".
"Yes sir".
"And finally, subject 102,
Despite having no psyche, you rated high in fights, so that might be worthwhile. Keep up with that and really might have an option to leave here alive",
Blu was struck with awe, as he didn't expect the Commander to know all their weaknesses in an instant, simply by watching their fights in the test run.
'As expected of the commander... Tsk! If only we could escape from here, then there would be no need to serve any kingdom'.
"Now that would be all for today".
The Commander said as he left the area. Upon entering the building, he paused, uttering something under his breath.
"What are you doing here, Cerberuse?"
*Spark*
Instantly beside the Commander, blue hexagonal lines formed, glittering for a while before final Cerberuse appeared.
"Why, the bad aura,
I Am just checking out the test subjects though,
Why did you tell them about the whole facility plans?"
"Why?
They don't have any use knowing it, so why asking".
"No, I just found it weird that you had to tell them about it".
"Like your warning them".
"Hmm... I suppose so,
But what use would it be when they're going to get their memories wiped out at phase?"
"Hahaha... You sound like your former self
But, know that her Majesty as eyes on this place and on everything you do".
The Commander then glared at Cerberuse for a while pondering.
'Hah! Her Majesty, sending spies to watch over,
Well, it's not like I'm going to do anything soon'.
After a while, he said.
"And so what are you still doing here?"
"Am just about to leave",
"Hah!"
The commander let out a sigh as he enters the building.
*Sigh*
{Cafeteria}
Morning Blu,
"So why are we here", Leo said,
"I want us to...",
"Haha seems like you want to have a fight, because I'm ready when you are, the bots aren't enough to show strength,
Let's fight 1 on 1",
"It seems like you're simply full of muscles for the brain",
"Huh! You have a problem with that..... ".
"Leo and Drok Quiet!!"
Blu interrupted by shouted out at the top of his lungs, then closed off his mouth, later to open up saying.
"Tonight we are all escaping".
On hearing this, everyone calmed.
"Situations have changed, we are leaving tonight". Blu said with a fierce expression.
Meanwhile,
{Top floor on the facility}
*Thud...*
There the professor was strolling down the hallway.
"Morning sir".
The [men in white] greeted the professor as he went down the stairs heading into the observation hall,
"How's the phase 5 commencing?"
The professor said. .
"Equipments and all necessities for the phase 5 have been delivered, we are all waiting for the commencement of phase 5".
The professor glanced over the glass window, gazing upon the morning sun as he said.
"Splendid, looks like tonight will be the test subjects last night together".
*Jolt*
Instantly he felt a zapping sensation through his spine as he paused for while pondering.
'What is this feeling... It seems like the day is finally here... I hope you don't fail me this time Stusk".
He then glanced at the [men in white] saying. "Inform all heads to be present for the day"
"Ok sir".
The [men in white] said as he rushed on.

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!
