CHAPTER 13: TRAINING (4)
Of course Blu knew things weren't going to work, but to ease out their worries, he then responded to Drok's words saying.
"Don't worry about that, all we need is him to stay still for a few seconds in the midst of the smoke screen. The smoke screen is just a decoy".
"Knowing him, he wouldn't care less about us after rendering us useless after beating us down. That's when we would attack using the Mythril guns".
Blu then paused for a while pondering.
'Normally, I would have hesitated when attacking a human with the intent of rendering him injured, but now I don't feel anything fighting someone death. Maybe it's because I am no longer human, I had killed someone before'.
"Anyways, the only thing I can see holding off a monster like that is another fellow monster like him".
"But now we don't have such a person".
"That's why we have Aria. She's the only person to hold him off for a maximum of 2 minutes, and that's exactly what we need".
"What if she's able to hold him off? Then what are we going to do after she held him off and the smoke screen went off?"
"Don't worry about that, we simply need to set the mythril guns on auto-fire, that way we would attack him on all angles regardless of if we all went down".
"If that still doesn't work, we then have to follow plan B".
***
'The guns were all laid out before the start of the duel and are all white, which is perfect for hiding in the snow'.
*Whirr... *
Blu then glanced as he noticed the four guns they laid out in hidden in the snow gathered mana at its tip. The blue mana glittered upon gathering the mana, with a blue line flickering around the nozzle of the guns.

*Fwoosh*
The nozzle then glowed a blue clouded color, while sending out a flustering sound into the air.
*fheeww*
A short blue line of mana was sent off in the air, aiming straight at Dust hidden in the smokescreen.
*Clang, Clang, Clang, Clang*
Blu could see the four shots setting off sparks, emanating from the behind the smokescreen.
He then contemplated.
"Huh! Did it work?"
*Whirl*
The wind gushed, dispersing the smokescreen into the air. Afterwards, Blu then noticed the trainer was unscattered as the wind blew.
"Tsk! It seems like our only hope is for plan B".
Blu then rose up, picking the short blade in front of him.
Arghh...
He Shouted at the top of his lungs as he rushed forth towards Dust in a drawing stance.
As Dust turns to see who it was. In an instant, he noticed there was no one.
*Fwoosh*
Instantly, Blu then appeared in a place with light particles flying at different speeds.
"Huh! Where am I?"
He wondered as he glanced at his body, glowing as he floated away.
"I was...".
Blu then recalled the talk he had with his friends again.
***
"Plan B?"
"What's the Plan B?"
"The plan B is our last resort, and it comes with a great risk".
"After I studied the spells, I noticed there is a particular spell called 'Speed' it increases your speed for a short while but normally it would only increase your speed a little".
"I then configured the spell to increase the base speed infinitely".
"Normally it works well—".
"Then why is it a great risk?"
"Because of it increasing the person's speed, Infinitely. They might end up at anywhere and anytime, even to the future".
'Yes, normally I wouldn't like to use this, but if it's to beat that monster of a thing, I would do anything'.

***
I remember I activated the spell and it sent me... Shh...
"Huh! I can't remember where it sent me".
*Zap, Spark*
Blu then disappeared again, only to appear in the air behind Dust, with his blade held up in the air.
*Swoosh*
Instantly, he struck his blade aimed at his neck.
*Zaaapp*
Blu felt a strong recoil force upon striking his blade behind Dust. As he glances, he noticed a blue invisible shield had stopped his blade from reaching Dust's neck.
Dust then turns, glancing behind him as he sights Blu with a menacing look on his face.
*Jolt*
Blu knew he was going to get punched no matter what he does now that Dust finally noticed him. He then nictitate—shutting his eyes as he awaits the pains he would receive.
After a while, Blu noticed nothing had happened.
'Huh! Why aren't I feeling the pains yet?'
*Clap*
He then heard sounds of a clap. As Blu opened his eyes and glanced at Dust, he noticed it was Dust who was clapping.
"You've all done well, finally you were all able to land an attack on me".
Perplexed by the sudden development, Blu said.
"Huh! But the attack didn't go well".
"And why does it need to? All that was needed was for you all to land a clean attack with a sure kill".
Dust said, glaring at Blu.
Blu smiled as he was delighted to know that his efforts were not in vain.
*Thud*
He then rushed over to his fallen friends to give the good news of them passing the test.
He then pondered on sight of the test subject's delighted face.
'Being able to land a sure kill hit... It seems like they did well, not only were they able to adapt quickly in just a few weeks. They also learned how to attack instantly from just knowing how to... They have potentials in them'.
'But if they keep working together, they might end up dragging each other down... Well, not like that matters to me... All I know now is my jobs' done'.
'Let's see how you deal with them now, Commander'.
Dust then glares up upon the building behind him, the Commander's office.
{Commander Office}
Meanwhile, the Commander was gazed down upon the window, watching the duel between Dust and the test subjects.
'The Norfork drug is kicking in more, but they're still not giving me any information about this project yet'.
*Slide*
The secretary then strolled into the office whilst the Commander was lost in thought over the duel.
"Morning Commander".
She said as she tried to glance through the window in wonder of what the Commander was watching.
"Morning".
The Commander quickly responded, turning his gaze to the secretary.
She then stopped for a while. Passing on a holographic tab and said.
"Sir, here are the details for the next phase test run".
"OK".
"Sir, is there anything else you need from me?"
"No".
"Wait!"
He then paused for a while pondering.
'If I can't find any info by training them, it looks like I just have to force it out of them, and the next phase looks like a good opportunity for that'.
Afterwards, he said.
"I think there might be a need for a few changes with the test run".
Afterwards we were taken to the medical care and then after that day of weapons training.
The true hell began as we were called for a test run.

How to Raise Your Dungeon
A dungeon core awakens for the first time. It knows nothing, it has nothing, but it can hear something. Voices, whispering, talking, and sharing. For now, they are distant. But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.
