CHAPTER 4: PHASE 3 (1)

2 years later,

{Professor's lab}

In the darkness, there sat a man dressed in black, soldering.

*Clang*

The sound of a metal dropping behind him was sent through the lab.

"Who's there?"

The man shouted out turning his gaze in to the dark. He then turned on the light and noticed it was a the Commander.

"Hah... You almost gave the old man a heart attack".

He said as he breath heavily from the shock of the Commanders sudden appearance.

"Hah, professor,

I see, you're still working on the new weapons".

"Yeah, the royal Queen needed weapons for the war".

"Oh, the Queen".

"What are you still doing at this time, Commander?"

"Nothing much, just filling reports on the test subjects".

"Oh, the test subjects".

"Yeah, apparently the phase 2 results were all successful, and the phase 3 is taking place tomorrow".

— That's weird the Commander mostly doesn't work late at night, what's going on?

Well it's not something I should ponder about.

"Ok, so it’s time then".

"Yeah, I need the equipment for the phase 3 before tomorrow".

"Ok, I would have them ready".

The Commander then left the room

Next day,

It was my 7th year in this strange place.

There wasn't basically much happening, just days of a regular life.

But I also found out some information about this place.

— The place is always cold. There were no other seasons in this place, just completely snow

The outside was not visible because of a haze which hinders the outside from sight.

Well, most of the knowledge found was not helpful.

Because we could not move within the place.

But, let's move on to a on to certain day, I noticed we were missing one of my friends.

At first I thought—'Maybe they are going through a test or something?' I hope.

Day by day, it went on.

After sometime of missing them, a peculiar feeling was being brought back,

As I was aware that we were in a lab with nobody but ourselves,

I felt fear,

And for the first time in my new life, I felt fear,

It was a frightful feeling, as it was—

The feeling of,

DEATH.

After some days of my friend's missing

On a certain morning,

{Blu's Room}

A [men in white] came into my room saying.

"Number 102",

"Hi".

"Follow me".

I paused for a moment.

'Maybe if I asked the men in white maybe they might tell me what happened to the others but I have to ask in a way that it won't arouse suspicions'.

I thought as I asked the [men in white].

Ehmm... Do you know what happened to

As I followed the [men in white], I was brought to a medical room, as I stood,

Another substance was injected into my body.

Unknown to me, it was a prosthetic.

After a while, I started to feel my vision getting blurry.

'Huh... What did they do to my body'.

I wondered as I then lost the feeling of my body and fell onto the ground.

I then heard the [men in white] talking.

"Looks like the drug works",

"Put number 102 unto the stretcher",

"Hi".

After a while, I noticed that they had brought me into a new place with an inscription written on the door.

[AREA: 02]

As I was guided into the spot, I couldn't keep myself awake as the drug took effect. I fell asleep, but my consciousness was left awake.

I don't know why, but that was helpful as I could hear the [men in white] speaking.

"This is test subject 102,

Requested permission to commence phase 3".

'Huh... What is phase 5?'

"Permission granted,

Number 102, can move on to phase 5".

"Phase 5 in progress...

Mana implant, check,

Mana core, check,

Proceeding to confirm link,

Link currently existing...".

'Mana? Hey what's going on!'

"Request reconfiguration",

"Proceeding to the next step",

"Entry of subject data,

Number 102, Defect subject",

"Phase 5 complete".

'Hey, what's going o... Shhh...'.

A sharp shock ran into my brain causing me the totally lose consciousness.

After the experiment,

I found himself in bed, as I tried to move,

I started to feel changes in my body, though I don't know why, but as I woke up, my body started to feel strange.

'It felt like I am no longer myself again'.

*Ba-thump*

The feeling came on with a strange fever, I was cold out, but had felt burning heat from my body,

As the fever couldn't reside, I thought to myself.

"Am I going to die?"

"No, I don't want that."

No, please not again."

As the thoughts kept coming, I could feel my eyelids getting wet.

Then before I knew it, a tear came running down, as my nose felt stiff.

*Sob*

I started to feel my vision getting blurry every second, with my eyes feeling heavier with each passing moment,

Till I finally I fell asleep.

A round table of 5 was called upon to report the progress of phase 3.

NT: Positions of round table chairs are placed in pentagon format; top, left top, right top, left bottom and right bottom

On the top was [red boss] - Commander of Area: 02; Royal knight of Eliana

Left top - Assistant commander of Area: 02 [Rosa Melathia]

Right top - Director of project [Cerberuse Bernz]

Left bottom - Head of security of Area: 02 [Dust Maestro] (currently absent)

Right bottom - professor in charge of utilities [Fenn Dustin] (currently absent)

Standing to the left of the hall next to a screen was the secretary to all operations

Leazus: where are the remaining members of this round table.

Secretary : well Dust Maestro and Fenn Dustin were reported to head back to the forefronts in preparation for the war with the kingdom of Gale.

Cerberuse: why wasn't this mentioned before I called for this meeting?

Leazus: Hey, don't you see we are here, please calm down

Rosa : *Silent*

Cerberuse: Huh, are you giving me an or...

Leazus: (stared with a deathly aura at Cerberuse)

Secretary: sorry sir, we were put upon on a short notice as the General commander ordered it was from the Queen .

(all eyes were at Cerberuse to for proceedings)

Cerberuse: tsk.. Proceed

Secretary: The experiment of phase 5 on the new test subjects has being, done and the assessment shows 2 failure and 1 defect

(All eyes were raised from the sound of the word)

Cerberuse: defect, Hoi... Hoi... Hoi...

A defect.

Secretary: Yes sir, a defect was found upon test subject 102

Leazus: 102, huh well, advance with the next phase,

Number 102 should be placed on high alert

Secretary: Ok

Cerberuse: It seems like our Commander here has a little successor

Leazus: I don't know what our queen was thinking but putting you as the director,

As it seems she was mistaken, Leader of black knights, Cerberuse

Rosa: Silence, I won't overlook the fact that you all—actually are disrespectful towards the Queen", as she said with an enormous display of powerful aura
