"Now, I know what to do." He exclaimed to himself while looking at the ladder in the truck.
"Tomorrow everything will change." He continues while he was stepping to the truck.
Jack decided to go back on the other day since he only got a limited time to do so if he will be doing it at that moment. He drives back to their house and he brought with him the fire truck.
While driving back to their house, he instantly realizing something in his mind.
"I might be seeing some survivors or I might not. But whatever happen for tomorrow, I need to get that chip out of my office." Jack determinly speak to himself.
He was eager to get that chip that will surely help him to lessen those attackers (living dead). It will kill them to a blast. And it will be a great weapon for the future if he could be able to finish it on time.
He reaches their house and park the truck in their garage. Slowly. He step outside the truck and made sure to check on it before walking his way inside their house.
While he was walking his way inside, he thought about what his son requested the other night when they are having their meal.
It's all about the salon thing. Jack was trying to figure out how he would be able to avoid those request of his son. He can't think of a way to do so.

Jack reaches the elevator down to do the lab. He step inside still thinking a nice way to reason out his son into not going to the salon.
He knows his son better than anyone. He smart young boy who will always a have a reason for everything you does or tell him. That's why Jack can't really help himself but thinking not to try to talk about it. That he hopes that will work probably.
"Hooh! " Jack breath put heavily when he is about to reach down his lab.
'Ding!' Elevators chimes that indicated he is already at the lab.
Jack takes a deep breath when the elevator slowly opened. He was about to step down inside slowly when a toy car bumped his shoes upon entering inside the lab. Out of his surprise he look down to the toy car in his foot and he pick it up. While Jack was looking at it and take a glance in front of him, there he saw his son smiling so wide.
"I dis it dad and it works so easy to program the car toy itself dad!" Austin exclaimed excitedly while his face was so bright.
Jack knows he was expecting to tell him that for what he did they might be able to go to the salon. But rather he say,
"That's good my son. Now you won't get bored since you already have that unique toy car you have made yourself to play with." Jack speak trying to avoid the possible question of his son about going to the salon.
"How about that dad? Are we going to the salon tomorrow?" Austin can't still forget about it and asked.
Jack take a look on the face of his son and he can see his face the excitement while waiting for his answer.

"But- H-How would you be able to do that in just a couple of hours son?" Jack asked trying to avoid answering his question.
He was just clueless and fascinated at the same time. He never thought his son was that genius enough to assemble the car machine he just left for him to do. And to think he was just left just a couple of hours. Jack was amazed with the capability of his. He just never thought he could do it.
"It was just an easy like a cut of pizza dad." Austin smiled while still waiting for his answer to his request.
Jack stared at his son and thought how could he be so smart. He also couldn't believe that they had been in the lab for so long and yet never thought that made his son so smart in every task he was giving it to him.
Jack never had an idea that his son was always reading some books. That he was also able to do some creative works on his room while his father was not around just to east his boredoms.
He was in that state when his son trying to get his attention.
"Dad? - Dad?!" Austin exclaimed as he was wondering why his father suddenly stop and was just staring at him.
"Is there something wrong dad?" Austin frowned while he was asking.
"Oh! No- no there's nothing wrong. I was just maybe tired that's all." Jack responded while he was trying to give him a smile.
"I'll just take a shower and be back to cook our food." Jack continues preventing another word from his son.
Jack was about to turned his back and walk his way to his room when he heard his son talking.
"D-dad?" Austin trying to call his attention.
"Hmmm?" Jack responded while he turned around and take a glance to his son behind.
"B-But h-how about the salon?" Austin undoubtedly asked.
"Ahhmm.." Jack was thinking of a right words to say when he saw his son really wanted him to say yes.
"We'll talk about it over dinner okay?" Jack responded while giving him a smile. Then he walks his way to his room.
While Austin can't take out his smile on his face while walking his way to his room holding his toy car. He was even hopping while going to his room because of his excitement.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.
