《Free》Chapter 29: Our Revenge!! Part VI

I kept punching Dango, giving it all I had, yet he kept smiling. How could I, Tommy, feel like this, towards someone I had trusted all my life.
"TOMMY!!" Marco screamed.
I looked back at him, he looked worried. I was also worried, what is happening. The whole day has been turned upside down.
Suddenly, a punch on my face flew me back.
"Tommy! You are not the strongest one here, but I am!" Dango shouted.
From all of the bullets, swords and screaming on the battle field, his voice was the only thing that was in focus, the only thing I wanted to focus on.
Akira started walking towards me and Marco, appearing behind Dango. I looked back at Marco, I nodded towards him.
I jumped, while Marco started shooting towards them, I went in for Dango. I couldn't even hit a single punch before Akira smacked me away.
"Nyehehe!" I heard.
I looked around in confusion.
J-Just whose voice was that? Who laughed? The voice was so close yet nowhere to be heard again.
"It seems you have lost track of your identity, Tommy!" the voice said.
"I am your Dark Magician, from the lack of my usage, you seem to have even forgotten my voice, eh?" he said.
I didn't like hearing him again, I do anything to keep my spirit away from myself.
Akira jumped towards me, I drew out my sword and blocked his attack.
I kept jumping around but he kept chasing me, while trying to attack. I attacked with my sword and he jumped back to Dango.
"You guys have no chance towards us, and it shows!" Dango said.
"I'll help you Tommy, I'll give you the energy you need, the energy you want for your form!" Dark Magician said.

I kept breathing.
"MARCO, NOW!" I screamed.
Not even a second passed and Marco shot his shot, direct hit on Dango. It hit his arm, it started bleeding, splurting out blood.
I felt the power, I felt power that I was missing. It was thanks to the magician.
I held my fingers together, like claws, and slowly went into a fighting stance. I dropped my sword to the ground.
"The hidden martial artists move, will be shown, to all of you!" I said.
Dango was on the ground, holding his arm, covering the blood.
"This can't be, this technique!" Akira said.
***
My body, it's frozen! I can't move, even with all power going towards my legs!
Tommy disappeared right in front of my eyes, I shifted my sight to Dango.. Why is that asshole still on the ground?!
That rifle guy kept shooting at Dango, what the fuck is happening?!
I looked up, to see the scariest thing I would have seen in my life.
A tiger? Lion? What is this monstrosity?!
The answer was simple, what was in front of me was the legendary swordsman, Tommy.
The claws, were the biggest I had seen, slashing my face like a cross, I couldn't do anything. The spirit of his had me cursed like this, I couldn't even fall on my back.
I stood there, and took that attack while still standing up.
He landed on the ground and kept kicking me with each foot, I became numb.
After a while, he stopped kicking. He stood up, and looked me at my face. My eyes were almost completely covered in blood.
"This, is what you get for killing my comrade.." he said.
He took me by my neck.
"But this isn't close to what a real monstrosity would do, the real battle will begin soon" he said and punched me on the face.

I flew back, the rain drops kept hitting my face. Slowly the drops didn't have an effect on me. My eyesight became weaker, and weaker.
Tommy, I give thanks to our battle...
...
*The legendary and infamous bounty hunter Akira had officially been defeated in the war happening in Clout*
***
"Marco, it's enough shooting!" I said.
I had barely any energy to scream.
"Tommy, we have taken.." Marco said.
"..Our revenge.." I continued.
I slowly walked over to him.
I fell, I had nothing left in me, I wish Katsura the best, I wish that he wins the battle.
I wish he will free all the slaves working for this country, Katsura..
..Do your best!

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author. Hero:Generation
UPDATES WEEKLY The world of Hero: Generation diverges from our own in the 1970s on a night known as “The Aurora Event”. Beautiful and luminescent weather phenomena covered the planet, for ten short minutes every corner of the Earth was underneath a cascade of lights in the sky. It was days later before reports began to filter in, more than could be suppressed by Governments and Nations. The Alphas had arrived. A small percent of the global population began to exhibit otherworldly and super natural abilities, changing the course of humanity. The Vietnam Occupation ended over night, as each ruling nation took action to respond. In the coming years Alphas would begin to change the globe. Russia eventually became an Alpha nation ruled by a mysterious figure only known as Father Winter. America, Europe, and Australia become even larger superpowers as their Alpha populations exploded, in time a United Nations force known as The Guardians was established to police and document the Alpha emergence. The worlds foremost expert in Alpha studies, Dr. Pavel Laghari invented a system known as the Laghari Scale, that scored Alphas on a scale of 1 to 10 across a wide array of parameters ranging from relative physical abilities to other parameters. Now, in most civilized countries Alphas are required to be assessed the moment their powers manifest, or be in strict violation of local and international laws. In this Age of Heroes , The Guardians have designed a new Initiative to recruit younger Alphas and set them on a path to greatness. Every year teenage Alpha’s from all over the globe flock to secure locations to take part in the Guardians crucible. Many will enter, but few will earn the right to call themselves a Guardian.
