《Free》Chapter 6: Hours Of Blood Part I

I slowly felt like throwing up.
What should I do? I can't hold it in anymore, but if I do stop, they'll kill us!
I felt my head becoming heavier the more I run.
I have to continue running.
Continue.
Keep running.
...
GARGH! I can't anymore!
I stopped and started to throw up on a bush.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING" the ninja screamed.
It sounded as if he was crying.
I didn't even breathe before running again, I can't stop anymore soon, or maybe I should fight them either way?
I continued to run, it felt like I could hear their sprinting louder and louder the more I kept going.
"H-Hey Ninja" I said while hyperventilating.
"HEY, I HAVE A NAME YOU STUPID SAMURAI!" he replied.
"Hey, I have a name too, stupid Ninja" I said.
"GRGH, WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME WHEN WE ARE GOING TO DIE?!" he screamed.
"Throw one of those smoke thing's, the one you threw earlier before you disappeared" I said.
"You.."
"UGH! Fine!!" he said.
I felt him using his hand, moving a lot.
"ALRIGHT, BE READY NOW YOU SAMURAI!" he said.
Then, suddenly, all I saw was grey. He had summoned the smoke. I stopped holding him and he fell to the ground, I looked backwards.
I drew out my sword and closed my eyes.
It happened again, I could feel the bandits' aura, just like that crow tamer.
The harder I let loose of my thoughts, the easier and clearer the aura of the bandits became, but why?
I couldn't think much of it, I just had to do it.
I need to attack!
"COME ON, WHERE ARE YOU"
"WE'LL SLAUGHTER YOU GUYS WHOLE!"
"I HAVEN'T FELT FLESH ALL DAY"
They just wouldn't stop talking, what's their point?!

I dashed, it was so sudden I could barely keep up with my self.
All I heard was slashing, I felt blood splashing on my face.
I opened my eyes, I saw a bunch of bodies on the ground.
"YOU BASTARD!" one of them screamed.
I looked around, they were all dark skinned, with tattoo's all over their bodies.
One of them attacked, I quickly jumped back.
They all kept attacking, one by one, it was becoming hard to doge all of them.
There was one, long necked guy standing still behind everyone, who is he?
I kept defending myself with my sword, there was no break between their attacks.
I tried to attack back, but it was too hard for me, dang it, where is that idiot Ninja when I need him!
The smoke had disappeared, the sun was setting, and there were about 5 people attacking me non-stop.
My injuries started to hurt again, it was hard to focus, I felt my head becoming heavier.
"HEY SAMURAI, I'M HERE TO HELP!" I heard from above.
Suddenly a big tree log fell down from a hill from my left.
I quickly saw it and dodged it, I was close to being squashed by it.
I looked back at the hill, the Ninja was there. I looked back and defended myself while attacking when I can.
Just before they attacked, I dashed threw them, I made myself ready to attack their leader.
As soon when I was going to attack, he punched me. I felt his hand going through my stomach to the other side. I didn't feel anything.
No pain.
No blood.
. . .
I looked down, at his hand. I looked back at his face. His disgusting tongue was sticking out, with his big and long smile.
"GOTCHA, YOU BITCH!" he screamed.
He pulled out his hand, I didn't feel any pain.
I looked down at my stomach.
It was a hole.

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online. This story is currently only available here on Royal Road or on my Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/bkwrm196/posts?filters%5Btag%5D=Soul%20Core%20Online

Zombies
This is one of three stories that I am offering as a test run. If you like it, then I'll choose to continue working on it. I have a whole plot line ready to explore! What can I say, I'm a sucker for rebirth, regression, and transmigration stories. This one is a regression story. The main character get's yeeted back in the past, to where the end began. Read on tortured souls as I do my best to break the weak, and sooth those who don't have a soul to break. I spent some time trying to make a story that explores all the gritty situations a resident of the apocalypse would encounter. Unfortunately, I do struggle with pace. I get just as impatient as you when I can't get to the next bloody encounter. But I despise OP characters, and I really wanna stop and explore the fascinating death of civilization. I write this in hopes of making a main character who get's to be the bad-ass I can't be, without, you know, skipping the good stuff.
