《An unknown world》Chapter 20: Returning from that 'unknown' world

When Gargon gets up on his feet, he was surprised to see two familiar faces from the group he created. Then he asked them.
"Wait... I thought all of you perished when Chris used his ultimate move to eliminate everyone? How on earth could you two survive such an attack? It makes little sense..."
Before Gargon could finish his words, Diego then said to him. "I guess you should just shut your mouth and let me explain."
Gargon flinched when he was asked to shut his mouth. Then Diego continued his words.
"The reason both of us could survive that attack is all thanks to Ash and Lia for healing us and transporting us to a safer place before they died."
After that, he turns his head towards Barry for a while and turns back to face Gargon. He then continues his words once more with a grin on his face.
"What is your name again? Barry, right? I guess I should thank you for not killing me when you had the chance. There are many kinds of chances for you to finish me, but you ignored those chances. Don't lie to yourself. I could see it in your eyes. You aren't that type of person."
Barry was speechless with Diego's words of gratitude. Then Damon said to everyone while he glared at Gargon. "Has everyone finished their talk? If so, let us get back to the main event. Is everyone ready?"
Everyone got into their fighting stance and said. "Ready."
When Gargon saw that his own group members have also turned against him, he was so angry until he couldn't think rationally anymore and said.
"You... you... you won't be able to defeat me! It wouldn't make any difference, even if only two people join your side! I won't be defeated, you hear me!"
After that, he forces Chris's transformation abilities upon himself. Even if he knew it might risk his life, but he still does so.
When he has absorbed Chris's transformation abilities, he felt excruciating pain throughout his entire body and he also feels like he is running low on oxygen supply in his lungs.
After that, he transforms into a giant monster.
Unlike Chris's monster form, Gargon's monster form is much scarier. At first, Gargon's monster form is the same as Chris. But Gargon could unlock a hidden third transformation.
The bone helmet's shape changes from a human's skull to a deer's skull with imperial horns on it. It's invincible armor is covered with spikes. The colour of the eyes turns from red to purple.

Chills runs down their spine as they witness such terrifying transformation. But they didn't let their fear stop them.
The first one who launched an attack was Diego as he activates his darkness magic to blind the enemy's sight. Then Barry steps in to nullify the enemy's movements.
After that, Damon and Daemon dashed towards Gargon. They then managed to slice through the invincible bone armor with their professional swordsmanship skills.
As soon as the invincible bone armor was destroyed, Brittney steps in and unleashes all her magic powers to fight against Gargon.
She activates her wind magic to boost up her speed and dashed towards Gargon. Then she combines her fire and ice magic to create an ultimate move, which she names it as 'Fiery Ice: Blaze Blizzard'.
This made Gargon stuck in her trap. She then jumps and gives him a hook kick on the neck. After that, Diego and Barry leaps into the air and combines Diego's strength and Barry's Dark Earth Magic to punch his face. Their combined attack caused an explosion which blows up their surroundings.
As Gargon's monster form was defeated, he turns back into his original self. But he still doesn't want to admit defeat and challenges Daemon to one last round. He then warns everyone not to interfere anymore.
"Daemon, I challenge you one last time. But I warn everyone of you not to interfere in this fight. Or else, you will die on the spot."
This made everyone except Daemon to gulp down their throat. Daemon then came up to confront Gargon for one last time.
The fight between Daemon and Gargon kicks off as Daemon goes all out on the offensive mode by using consecutive punches on Gargon while Gargon goes all out on the defensive mode. Then Gargon said to him.
"Huh... just like the old times... right, buddy?"
Daemon just kept on trying to punch him.
"This is getting us no way near the end."
In order to end their fight, Gargon lets himself get punched in the face and lands on the grass field.
Daemon was surprised with Gargon's actions. A metallic sword suddenly appears next to Gargon. Then Gargon said to him with a grin on his face.
"Pull out this sword and end me."
Daemon just stared at him in bewilderment and asks him. "What are you talking about? That doesn't match with what you said earlier."

Gargon laughed and said. "Haha... everything which I said earlier isn't valid anymore since I have completely lost my will to carry out my plans. I guess it's all thanks to you that I could learn how to forgive. So this is my way of forgiving that person. Then this is what I ask of you. Please kill me."
Daemon's eyes swells up with tears and said. "Wait... no, no, no. Please, there must be another way somehow. I can't do this. I don't want to kill my own... friend."
Gargon was taken aback when he heard the word 'friend' from Daemon, as this is the first time Daemon has ever called him as a friend. This made him teared up as well. He then said to Daemon.
"Haha... you never changed, did you? If you can't do it, let me help you with that."
Gargon reached out his hand to hold onto the sword in Daemon's arms and pull it close to his chest. Then he pulls it to the right side of his chest and helps Daemon to stab him. Before Gargon breathes out his last breath, he said to Daemon in a soft voice.
"Forgive me, Daemon... for making this as a sad friendship reunion."
After that, Gargon's heartbeat stopped and his eyes closed shut. Now the only thing left in front of Daemon is just an empty shell of his friend.
After the battle and Gargon's funeral ended, all of them headed back to Sky Castle.
In the castle, Barry asks Diego a question.
"Sorry for asking this silly question. But what made you go back there to lend us a hand?"
Diego then said to him. "Do I need to state my reason? I just thought that I should return a favor to you. That's all."
After what Diego said to him, Barry smiled and said. "Well then, thanks."
When Diego saw his smile, he turned away and said. "Heh... don't get cocky, you fool. I'm just returning a favor. Nothing else. If you think I'm on anyone's side, then you are wrong. Let me make it clear. I am on no one's side!"
After that, Diego and Damon left the castle. Barry then asks Brittney to continue what she wanted to say that time.
Then Brittney reveals her reason for asking Daemon to bring him into this unknown world. She asks Barry if he knows about 'The Organization'.
Barry said to her that he does not know what it is. He tries to ask her, but she only kept quiet. Then he asks both of them about how they met each other and what is their relationship.
They then revealed to him that they met each other a few days after the Great Magic War ended. Since then, Daemon not only he became her personal guard. He also becomes a father figure, a trainer and a caretaker to her.
Barry was stunned to learn about their history. Then Brittney said to him with a smile on her face.
"Because of what you have done for us, I, Brittney the princess and queen of Sky Kingdom will appoint you as Sky Castle's knight. Will you humbly accept this offer?"
Barry bowed down and said. "Yes, your Majesty."
She continued, "I declare thee, Barry, as an official knight of Sky Castle."
Everyone including Daemon congratulates him on his official knighthood. Then Brittney brings Daemon and Barry to a quiet place where they could discuss without anyone listening to their conversation.
Somewhere within the castle, Brittney explains to him that he can come here whenever she summons him and said that it would be easier for her to check up on his broken gate.
Barry was surprised by what she said, but he still thanks her for allowing him to return to his world. Brittney then begins the spell to send him back to his world.
As the spell takes effect, the surrounding around Barry changes into the place which he calls 'home'.
When he gets up from his bed, he found a note next to him. He wears his spectacles and reads it aloud. On the note, it explains that the spell has slowed down the time he has been gone from 16 hours to 8 hours. This is to ensure that there is no fuss over his disappearance, and it also states that he is only granted to use his own psychic powers.
After he finished reading the note, he then said in a soft voice. "Thanks for the explanation."
Now, his daily life goes back to normal. Maybe?

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
