As the three of them are heading towards the city, the floating surveillance camera has reached the headquarters of the group of thieves, Magia Banditas.

When the boss noticed its arrival, he let it in for him to see the recordings of the battle and the outcome of the battle.

As he watches the video, he gains more intel about his opponents and their powers. He felt disappointed with what had happened to the members of the group.

Suddenly, a glowing black orb of light appeared in his palm. He realized it was Chris's magic because he could hear the whispers of his will inside it.

After listening to Chris's will, he gladly accepts it and uses his ability to absorb the magic.

Then he called his 'pet' over to his place and orders it to eliminate Barry and the others. The 'pet' accepts the order and transforms itself into a puppy.

After that, it leaves the headquarters to search for its target while the boss just sends the floating surveillance camera to observe the battle.

While these happened at the city, Barry, Daemon and Brittney were still crossing the plain grass-field by feet.

As they were making their way across the vast grass-field, Barry felt extremely exhausted of walking while Daemon and Brittney continued to walk.

Barry felt bored with how silent their travel has been, so he holds a conversation with them.

"Hey, aren't you guys tired of walking? It feels like we have been walking across this plain field for hours. Can't we rest for a while?"

Daemon and Brittney turned their head to look at him as they continued walking. Then Daemon said to him.

"Well, we are tired. But we don't have the time to sit down now. We need to stay sharp on our senses."

"He is right, Barry. We can't afford ourselves to be lax in this kind of situation."

"Ok... ok, fine. I get it. But what is that? A puppy? What is it doing here?", asked Barry.

When the puppy found its targets, it tries to keep its puppy form to attract its target's attention.

The puppy then dashes towards them and stops them in their tracks with its tail wagging.

When the puppy came closer to sniff them out, Barry was the first one to fall for its cuteness as he picks it up from the ground and tries to pat its head.

The puppy felt pity for Barry's actions, which shows no signs of awareness. It then bounced off from his arms and barks at him.

Then it walks towards Brittney and does some dog tricks to attract her attention. The act which the puppy done made her feel suspicious about it, but she still fell in love with the puppy.

The puppy feels relieved that the other two have a better intuition than Barry. After that, it then carries out the order by its owner after it had confirmed its targets.

It leaps out of her arms and transforms itself into a giant three-headed dog, which is a Cerberus. Then it activates its wind magic to blow its target away from it.

This made Daemon and Brittney been blown away by its wind force while Barry managed to stand against it, despite being the closest to the Cerberus.

When Barry noticed he was the only one who stood against its attack, he seizes this chance to become the hero who defeats the enemy.

He then thinks up of a plan to defeat the Cerberus with the knowledge he has from his world. When an idea came through his head, he executes the plan without hesitation.

The plan which he came up with was to attract its attention first, then he will nullify it and kill it. But his plan was doomed to fail from the start.

It is because the Cerberus isn't the same as an ordinary dog, who would fall for his silly trap. The Cerberus is a highly intelligent dog.

Suddenly, Daemon and Brittney appeared in front of him to strike back with a combined finishing move to defeat the Cerberus.

Barry was shocked yet glad to see Daemon and Brittney in good condition, even if they were blown away by its powerful wind force.

They then asked Barry to prepare his nullifying magic to aid them in their fight against the Cerberus.

When it was about to approach them, Brittney uses her earth magic to grab its legs. This made it unable to move any closer towards them.

Then she took out her enchanted bow while she activates all her powers. After that, she shoots hundreds of arrows with all her magic powers.

Daemon then flies into the sky while he activates his fire magic to increase his speed and damage power.

In the blink of an eye, he has penetrated its thick body while he held onto its 9 hearts in his hands and crushes it.

When it was about to release another wave of attack, Barry tries his hardest attempt to overexert the capability of his null magic, so that he could nullify the Cerberus.

Then Brittney stepped in once more and activates her ice magic. She then dashes towards it and sends a heavy blow on its legs. Because of that, its bones shattered into pieces, which causes it to collapse onto the ground.

Daemon also stepped in to destroy the remains of the Cerberus, so that it wouldn't be able to regenerate again. He took out something from his back and pulls it out from its sheath.

According to Daemon, it is a cursed sword which he got from the Netherworld. The name of the sword is Cursed Chaos Pyro sword. This sword is the most powerful cursed sword in Netherworld. Its strength and power could rival with the Sacred Spirit sword.

Then he dashes towards it and decapitates the Cerberus's heads. After that, he sets its body on fire. Thus marks their win against the Cerberus.

They then took a rest for a while. As they rested, Barry suddenly had a bad feeling in his chest. But he doesn't know what it is.

When he recalls about their fight with the Cerberus, he remembered he had overexerted his power's capability. As he was about to test his powers, Daemon suddenly approaches him and asks him a question.

"How is your 'gate' doing? Is it still functioning properly?"

"Huh? What's a 'gate'? This is new info for me."

"Let us just say it like this. A gate is where the spirit's powers reside in the user's body. The user has to be careful to not overstrain their gate. Or else, they cannot use magic anymore."

"Ok, I get it then. Thanks for the info, Daemon."

"You overstrained your gate, didn't you? I can tell by your previous action just now."

"Haha... I was discovered that fast, huh? Yes, I overstrained my gate."

"Hey, Brittney! This guy needs his gate to be fixed!"

Barry pouted and said. "This guy? That's a rude way to call me."

Brittney then went to their place and said. "Is it a case of overstraining one's gate? You really should take care of yourself next time. This is just a temporary healing spell. Water Magic: Heal!"

It took few minutes for her to heal Barry's gate. After that, his gate was now healed and working normally. He then thanks her for healing his gate.

Suddenly, three of them felt an enormous amount of mana which is heading in their direction. As they turned their heads in the direction from where the power came from, they were suddenly ambushed by the enemy's attack.

When Barry opened his eyes, he saw a man coming towards them. He then tries to scan his surroundings. Then he realized that Daemon and Brittney are already in their battle stance.

After that, he then gets up on his feet and gets into his fighting stance as he stood in front of them.

Now, both sides have met each other face to face for the first time. The man then introduces himself. "I am the leader of the Magia Banditas group, Gargon."
