《Silence》II

II
Since the funeral, their little house had fallen into silence. That was not the quiet, which is just the absence of sound, but silence—when those who keeps it could talk but they won’t. This was Fr. Ignaty’s thought each time he entered his wife’s bedroom to meet the tenacious look, so heavy that the air seemed turning into lead and weighing down onto his head and shoulders. This was his thought when he looked at his daughter’s musical notations with her voice within them, her books, and her portrait—the large painting of her she had brought from St. Petersburg. When contemplating the portrait, Fr. Ignaty got used to begin with its highlighted, painted cheek, imagining the scratch he saw on Vera’s dead one, unable to figure out where it had come from. Each time he pondered the reasons; had it been from the train, the train would have crashed the head, but the head of dead Vera was fully unharmed.
Maybe someone’s boot hit it, or a fingernail, by accident, when they took the body away?
It was scary though, thinking at length of the detail of Vera’s death, and Fr. Ignaty would move to the portrait’s eyes. They were black, beautiful, with long lashes casting a thick shadow, so the whites seemed even brighter, and the eyes looked held in a black mourning frame. It was strange, the expression an unknown but talented artist gave them—as though a thin, translucent film was placed between the eyes and what they were looking at. It was a bit like that invisible, delicate layer of summer dust sitting on top of a black grand piano, soothing the shine of the polished wood. And however Fr. Ignaty displayed the portrait, the eyes followed him relentlessly, but spoke of nothing, keeping silence, and their silence was so clear that it seemed audible. Eventually, Fr. Ignaty began to think that he could hear silence.

Every morning after the service, Fr. Ignaty would come into the living-room, take in with a single look the empty cage and the familiar furniture, sit down in an armchair, close his eyes, and listen to the house being silent. It was something strange. The cage kept silence quietly and gently, some sadness in it, and tears, and the distant, forever gone laugh. The silence of his wife, soothed by the walls, was tenacious, lead-heavy, and frightful—so frightful that the hottest day made Fr. Ignaty freeze. Lingering, cold like grave, and mysterious like death was the silence of his daughter. It seemed tormented itself, that silence, longing to turn into a word, but something strong and dumb, like a machine, kept it still and draw it out, like a wire. And somewhere at the far end, the wire would start vibrating and tingling quietly, meek and piteous. Fr. Ignaty, joyful and scared, would catch the incipient sound and waited for it to come closer, holding on to the armrests and craning his neck. But the sound would snap and fell silent.
“Nonsense!” Fr. Ignaty would say, annoyed, and he would get up from the armchair, still straight and tall.
Through the window, he could see the sunlit square, paved with round, even cobble, along with the blind stone wall of a long shed across it. A cabby waited at the corner, looking like a clay statue, and why he was there with no one passing by for hours remain unknown.

Sing Crier
Virtual reality MMORPGs have become a cultural phenomenon; a cynical 14-year-old girl plays the most popular of them with two controllers, controlling two characters at once. She promptly commits a crime against humanity, dies, learns the meaning of life, and then is reincarnated as both of her characters, Sing and Crier. The following is an edgy adventure of survival, relationships, and growth into adulthood in a world where everything is trying to kill her. This story is undergoing streamlining. How to have fun in an apocalypse (Rewrite)
After spending an unsavory amount of time in hell, our protagonist finally manages to escape the place that had kept him captive for so long... again. Unfortunately, even after plotting and planning for years, he ends up in a place not much different from the burning and agonizing Tartarus he once had to call home. Guts, blood, and carnage start to reign over Earth as soon as he set foot in it, much to his dismay. What use is it to cry over spilled milk, though? Tired of the monotony of endless torture, he steps into the world intending to have as much fun as possible. While others might try to raid the Orc Lord with as many people as possible, why not challenge him to an arm-wrestling tournament? The power of friendship will surely be on his side. Why hide from the big, bad wolf in one of your houses if wearing camo in plain sight should have the same effect? Now, making friends and going on adventures would be perfectly fine, if it wasn't for the fact that he hides a few more secrets than one might think at first. This is a complete rewrite! Due to being unsatisfied with the previous version, I have decided to work the story up, beginning from the older chapters! Version 2.0 includes: - enhanced writing and editorial skills - additional information and aspects to characters - minor deviation from storyline and improvements

Cinder Souls II
Dark Souls is known as one of the hardest game series to have ever existed and with the third installment of Dark Souls, being Dark Souls 3, the makers of the game decided to not make another. With the licensing of the game being put into limbo, a game company called Virtual World decided to buy the right to make another game in the series, this game was called Cinder Souls. Something was different about this game compared to the rest of the series and that was it is on the World Gear, a device that put your consciousness inside of the game and gave you complete control of your character's body. This game exploded and sold over 5 million copies in the first week since it had something other games didn't. Freedom. You could do 18+ actions, take over kingdoms, destroy guild bases entirely, and even rob NPCs. Of course there are laws in certain areas that prohibited certain actions but that all depended on what guild was in control of the land you are at. There are 4 continents with there being several countries dividing each continent into different sections and each having their own difficulties. The strongest continent of them all is Land of the Gods, which only the most legendary of players can enter and become apart of. It is a small island which only has 10 inhabitants but these 10 people could easily take over any other continent on the planet but decide to lay dormant on the island, waiting for something strong to spice up the game. Each of these 10 players is considered a God in the game and even have their own following base. Each God had major influence over the millions of other players in the game but that was all in the past. Now it is time for an update, a completely new world with new enemies and new beginnings for all and that update is coming soon. Its supposed to arrive in one day in fact. This update would have new quests and new adventures and the game title will be changed to Cinder Souls II, whether you kept your character or not is unknown but what was known was that the real world was excited for this. Since it was an update, you didn't have to repurchase the game so old players began to dust off their old copies and prepare for the copious amounts of fun in store for them. This story follows one of the best players to have ever graced the game, Frew, the God of Miracles, and his new adventures but it is not as expected. Not one of the 14 million players could expect what would be coming up next in Cinder Souls II nor would anyone be prepared for it. *****WARNING, IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE VIRTUAL REALITY ASPECT IT IS NEXT TO NONE EXISTANT EXCEPT FOR CHAPTERS IN THE FAR FUTURE***** For the original cover picture, check out this link! ----> https://www.pinterest.com/pin/420875527667199123

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
