《Yama》7 - Scabiosa School Part 3
Advertisement
I'm Hikari Yama, 16 years old. Completed my first day at Scabiosa School. More like a preparation class. I'm not officially a student here nor that I want to...
Such an uneventful first day... I'm glad it is like that. We get to know the basics of chevaliers. Not that we don't know about it before. I'm confident everyone has already been taught about it since we were a kid. Judicium Satus... Exorior... Requiem...
It's not my fault for sleeping through all the explanations. Maybe I can keep my focus on physical class better.
"Where are you going Yama? Our house is this way."
Yua is holding a tip of a uniform on my shoulder after she saw me going the wrong way. In her view that is. I'm not planning to go home now anyway.
"I got things to do, can you tell mom I'll come back a bit late?"
"Oh, I see... Okay then. Do you want me to accompany you?" she asked me for confirmation.
"No need to. You should rest at home."

This is a fence behind the school. Not so height, not so low. An average school fence of about six feet in height. How many times have I done it? About a week... Then six or seven. I don't remember. Climbing this fence can be such a drag sometimes.
"No one around..."
I have to make sure no one watching from the time before I climb when I climb and after I climb. I have to run for momentum and kick the lower part of the fence a bit to move upward. Then placed my hand on top of the fence and lift my body to the other side. That's the fastest way to climb it.
"Huh... Pass..."

It's been in my mind since day one, no guard is guarding the school. That is because Murakami Mayumi is the guard herself. I know that but doesn't it safer to have an actual guard inspect the school?
But of course, I'm glad they don't pay anyone to do that. If they do, it will be a pain in the ass for me to see her. Maybe I am already being caught in this moment.
Passing the rear of the pentagon building with a vase of flowers placed beside the wall, I can see a pond beside the building. This is Block 4, where our class has been placed. There are three floors including the ground floor. The ground floor consists of our teacher's room. The second floor consists of Library 4. And the top is where our class is.
In the middle of it, there's a training ground. We called it Gokakukei because of its pentagon shape. As the pentagon has 5 sides, there will be 5 classes for the first-year student. All of it was placed on each side of the pentagon.
The design of the building for the other batch is different though. But I think the class will remain the same until the final year. I don't know why they don't have the same design.

I waited for her while sitting beside the pond with my left leg going up. There are two fish that I don't know what their name is swimming elegantly through the water. One a black dish, and one a white fish.
"Hey..."
----
A serene woman's voice takes my attention from appreciating the beauty of the fish. While I can sense the warmth of her body leaning on my back. Our heads caressed each other and I can feel her almost bald hair on my neck. Resting itself comfortably.
"Hey... Mayumi."

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author. Peerless Hegemon [OLD]
He traversed two paths in total and left them with an empty heart. He traversed the third path and felt a void in his soul. He let others imprison him so he could seek answers and then recreate the Universe. The Answer was found, yet he was left unsatisfied. Led by the Beast that watched the Universe till its destruction, he found new meaning. In the new life he created, he began walking a path of blood. He choked a Prince with one hand and beheaded a King with the other. He killed a General ten kilometers away with an arrow and even dragged a Continent in order to get what he wanted. Yet beyond the never-ending river of blood, the core of his heart blossomed as he found himself a reason to live other than glory. Under the bleak life of chaos, blood flowed to nurture a flower, that bloomed to represent himself. Instead of Emptiness, he found life from death, and as he looked back at the path he had walked, he smiled as blood coated his lips. This is him, trying to find a place where he can gain humanity. == This story focuses on the world and the characters; there would be genocide, fights, and some bloody encounters. This is not Harem, sorry for Harem lovers, but that’s just how it is. The art for the cover isn’t mine. The credits go to its original creator.
