"Raise your hands Eto". A woman's voice rang.
"Spread your legs and focus". She said again.
"Read your opponents move before making yours, Don't make a move before reading your opponents move".
Eto listened to the blue haired woman he was sparring against. He focused and grit his teeth to stop another blow from her weapon. They were sparring with the bo staff. He dodged another hit and rolled to the right, then he tried to counter attack but the woman blocked it with one arm then moved behind him in less than a milisecond which made it seem like she teleported, he couldn't keep up with the speed, she hit his knee making him kneel.
"You know in a battle, you'd be dead right?" said the woman
"Yeah mum, I'd be dead in a battle. You know I could just train using the sims right."Eto said.
"Yeah Eto but what fun would that be and besides I missed you".
"I missed you too mum".
Eto's mum ruffled his hair"Okay. one more round and then we're done for the day."
"Okay"
Eto sparred with his mum for the last time for the day. She used her movement techniques to get close to him then disarmed him by hitting his staff and sweeping her staff by his feet to make him fall.
"Yay go mum"said a blue haired girl walking toward them.
"Don't cheer her on Anna, she has the advantage of age and experience". said Eto
"Hah that's what you always say. I don't think you're ever gonna win against mum anyway. it's just like chess"said Anna
"Anna" called the blue haired woman.
"Yes mum"
"Are you done with your assignment?".
"Yeah mum. It wasn't that hard once I looked at it differently". Anna said expressionlessly.
Her mum looked at her and said "I knew you could do it. Let's go have dinner".

In a circular room with a floating table and floating chairs by its sides sat different types of food, from baked chicken glistening with butter, ice-cream, burgers, orange juice, cake, salad, freshly picked fruits and baked potatoes.
Everybody sat at their sits and started to eat. While they were eating, The android butler came toward towards them to report to their mother.
"Miss Grey. The commander of the fleet has arrived" said a monotonous voice.
"Thanks Al" said Miss Vanessa Grey.
Eto looked up at his mum and said "Going on a trip again"?
"No Eto just looking into something"
Said Miss Grey furrowing her brows.
"Hey mum, Hey mum. Are you gonna take long" asked Anna.
"No Anna, I'll be right back...".
Miss Grey got up and went to the elevator at the end of the hall, she got in and winked at her two kids before the elevator doors closed and the elevator started moving down.
In a few minutes they looked towards the hall and saw their mother moving towards them. she didn't make a sound as she moved and sat at her sit and then said "Let's eat".
"Anything wrong mum" asked Anna and Eto at the same time.
"No kids. just work. I have to be gone for two days".
"Where you going mum" asked Anna
"Commander watson discovered a dwarf planet in ST19, Am going along to coordinate." replied her mum.
Then they continued eating but miss Grey looked at Eto. He wasn't paying attention and was staring at his food.
"Eto."
"Eto."
"Eto."
He didn't answer until his mum tapped his arm.
"Yeah mum"
""Are you alright son" asked Eto's mum.
"No mum. Can you not go". asked Eto.
His mum put a hand beneath her chin and looked to be deep in thought. Then she turned to look at him and said "Yes I can. but I have to, Don't want there to be any complications, and besides I won't be gone for very long."

"Okay mum I understand" Eto muttered
He's mum looked at him and said "Come now Eto don't be like that. I'll take you and your sister to planet Umami when I get back."
"Really mum. " Eto beamed. Even his sister raised her head to look at their mother.
She looked at both of them and smiled.
After they finished eating. Miss Grey went to prepare for her trip. Anna and Eto went to the training room to spar. Anna and Eto were equally matched but she knocked him down using her own movement technique. He got up quickly and swung his bo staff at her legs, she evaded his ploy by jumping and piercing her bo staff towards his chest, he blocked it but realized that it was just a feint, Anna had already let go of her bo staff the moment it hit his and closed in on him, then she put her hand on his leg and flipped him.
"Hah got you again." Anna yelped
"You're getting good at this."
"Well you know what mum always. Let every attack be a feint and let every feint be an attack."
"True. Am gonna go wash up. am going to bed. Goodnight Ann."
"Goodnight Eto."
Anna stayed to train. Eto left the training and started walking towards his room. His room was very expansive. His room was on the fifth floor of their home. He went straight to his bathroom and washed up. He changed into his night wear and dozed off.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?
8 183The Precursor
The Precursor, otherwise known as God. A young man is thrown into a position he never knew existed.
8 218Witches of the Night
Few know this, but, beneath our cities, in the midst of forests and mountains and even under the waters of the ocean, there is another world, a world full of magic, fantastic places, and mythological and imaginary creatures. By chance, I became aware of it, and my curiosity led me to explore it. Now, I regret not having controlled myself, not having ignored this knowledge and continued with my regular life. For, though I have seen incredible things beyond the imagination of most people, I also met the Witches of the Night and the terrible truths about the human condition and the place of humanity in the universe they brought with them. How do I get back to a normal life after everything I saw? I don't know if it's possible, but this account is an attempt to mitigate the terrible effects of this knowledge, a first step toward normalcy. Perhaps sharing everything I discovered, the simple idea that this knowledge is not only mine, will help me.
8 92Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.
8 160Roulette: A Random Tale
Waking up in a strange world with amnesia? Not good. Having no access to the System or Status Screens that everyone else seems to be using? Not great. Randomly gaining powers that you have no idea how to control? Not super. Said powers changing/replacing themselves at random and inconvenient times, usually when you're just getting used to them? Not cool. Not being able to control this constant change in your powers in any way? Not awesome. People considering your random powers - that can range from completely useless to nigh godlike - to be a threat to the world as they know it? Really bad. The local ability stealing Big Bad taking an interest? Even worse. But you try. You try to make it through your life, even when things seem to be stacked up agains you. You got dealt a bad hand, but you're gonna make the best of it. Or die trying.
