《MYTHICAL DESCENDANT: Married to Mr. Fox》Chapter 9: VISITED JAYDEN'S FAMILY HOUSE

In the living room of the mansion, Jayden waited for Ember. She came down the stairs, and Jayden looked at her as she went down the stairs. Ember changed her clothes because of the smell of food. She changes into a red sheath gown. Her hair colour and the dress she wore further highlighted her appearance.
"I'm ready." She smiles as she looks at Jayden. They headed out to Jayden's car.
Jayden opened the door for her. After that, Jayden got in the car and drove to his parents' house. Today, just the two of them went to Jayden's family house without Xander. On the way to the Jayden family home, they just kept quiet. After half an hour, they arrived. When Ember opened the car door and got off, she was stunned to see the house was two times the size of the mansion they lived in. Ember followed Jayden into the house. At the front door, Camilla greeted them.
"Welcome, my dear. Let's go to the living room."
They followed Camilla. Along the way to the living room, Ember glanced around and saw many fox statues and pictures of foxes. Are they obsessed with Fox? Why only foxes' statues in this house? She felt they were weird.
Arriving in the living room, Fabian was already there. "Please have a seat."
"How was your first night?"
Fabian started the conversation, but Ember was shocked to be asked such a question, and she looked at Jayden because she didn't know how to respond.
But Jayden's face had no reaction at all. He answered with a straight face, "We were tired last night, and we just slept."
Why do they want to know our private lives? Is this also a tradition? Ember's head started spinning with confusion.
"You must be together before one week is over. You know that, right, Jayden?" Fabian reminded him. Ember was more confused because she didn't understand what they were talking about.
"Yes, dad."
He replied, and his eyes looked at the floor. Before this, he's been nag because he's not married, and now he's been nag because he's not making love with her. Jayden felt the burden never ended.

"Mom, what does dad mean we have to be together before the week is over?" Ember whispered to Camilla.
"Ember, I can't tell you more, but this is our family tradition. You must be with Jayden before one week is over, otherwise something will happen to Jayden."
What's wrong with this family's tradition? This was the first time she'd heard of such a tradition. Did tradition need to be secretive? Ember feels the Braxton family is weird and full of secrets.
"Ember?"
She was startled when Fabian called her name, because she was still thinking with confusion in her head.
"Y-yes, dad."
"Please be with Jayden before the week is over. I know you don't love each other for now. But we hope you can do it since you're a married couple."
She was silent for a moment. Jayden glances at her, and he can see Ember's confusion on her face. He felt bad for her because she had to bear the same fate as him. Ember slightly nodded her head, her mouth hard to open to say yes to him.
After leaving Jayden's family house, they returned to the mansion. Again, they said nothing. When they arrived at the mansion, Ember got off, but Jayden was still in the car.
"You didn't get off of the car?"
"No, I need to go somewhere."
Jayden replied, without looking at her. Ember closed the door, and Jayden drove away. Ember enters the mansion, and she is greeted by Kyla.
"Welcome home, Ma'am. Do you need anything?"
Suddenly, Ember just remembered that she needed to go somewhere.
"Oh, no thanks, I want to go somewhere. I'll be back a bit late. Don't wait for me to have dinner."
"Ma'am, Sir Jayden, tell me if you wants to go out somewhere. He's got a car ready. You can call the driver."
"It's okay, I'll go out on my own."
Ember got out of the mansion and looked for a taxi nearby. She hails a taxi and gives the driver the address where she wants to go.

After 20 minutes, Ember arrives at a car workshop, and she's looking for the staff member who works there.
"Hi, I got your message saying that my car is fixed."
"Well, it's fixed. Follow me."
The staff member of the workshop replied, and Ember followed him.
In front of her was a red Audi. Ember approached her car and said, "My Reddy, I miss you so much."
A few weeks ago, Ember had a minor accident and her car had to go into a workshop to be repaired. After paying the cost of the car repairs, Ember drove her car and went to see Aubrey at the bar, where they always hung out.
"Ember, here." Aubrey waves her hand.
"Hi newlyweds, How is your life after marriage? Are you already hmm..."
Aubrey giggled at her own question.
"No," Ember replied, as she ordered champagne.
"Really?" Aubrey shows a disappointed expression.
"Today, I was from Jayden's parents' house. Her parents told us to be together before the week was over."
"Why?" Aubrey asked curiously.
"I don't know, they didn't tell me. They said that was their family's tradition. By the way, what's the rush? Why must we do it before the week is over? I don't understand."
"Their families seem to have a secret hidden. Don't you feel the same?"
"Well, I feel that way too." Ember responded with a sigh.
They chatted until 11 p.m., and then Ember and Aubrey got out of the bar and went back home.
At the mansion, Jayden had just returned. As he entered the mansion, the maid, named Tina, told Jayden. Tina has short brown hair and grey eyes.
"Sir, ma'am Ember isn't back yet. She told us she'd be back late."
Jayden looked at the clock. It showed 11.10 p.m. Just as he was about to go upstairs, there was a honking sound from outside the mansion. Jayden went out to see if it was Ember.
But then he saw a white Porsche. A woman got out of the car. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and emerald-coloured eyes. He was shocked to see the woman. But he still approached the woman and said, "Amayah, what are you doing here?"
"Jayden, is that the way you greet me? I came a long way back from Paris to meet you. I heard you're married. Is that true?"
Amayah asked with a sad face. But her reaction makes Jayden annoyed.
"Yes," Jayden answered with a serious face.
"Don't you like me anymore? Did you get married because you had to?"
Amayah asks and hugs Jayden, and at the same time, Ember arrives at the mansion and parks on the side.
Ember saw Jayden with another woman, and there was a woman who hugged him. Ember feels angry at seeing the scene. She's just gone for a moment, but he's already had someone come to see him. Is this one of his mistresses? Ember held back her anger and tried to calm down.
Jayden looked at Ember's car and wondered who was coming to the mansion. Amayah let go of her hug and looked towards Ember's car.
Ember took her purse, opened the door, and got out of the car. It shocked Jayden to see Ember get off of the red car. Amayah looked at Ember from top to bottom. Ember walked towards them with a serious face and stopped in front of them while looking at Jayden's hand. Held by Amayah.
Held hands in front of me? How dare he? Ember feels like she wants to kick their hand, but she is trying hard to hold back her anger. Jayden had just realised his hand was in Amayah's grip when he noticed Ember's eyes staring at his hand, and he quickly let go of her hand.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?
