《MYTHICAL DESCENDANT: Married to Mr. Fox》Chapter 5: WEDDING PREPARATION

The next day, Ember worked as usual with Aubrey. As Aubrey cleaned the shop window, she was surprised to see Camilla in front of the shop. Aubrey came out of the shop and greeted Camilla. "Good morning, madam."
"Ooh, you?" Camilla tried to remember her name.
"I'm Aubrey, Ember's beautiful cousin." Aubrey laughed out loud at her own joke, but Camilla found her hilarious.
"Hahaha, you're so funny, Aubrey."
"Madam, what brought you here?"
"Ahh, I want to see Ember, my daughter-in-law."
"She's inside. Please come in." They both enter the shop, and at the moment, Ember is watering the flower.
"Welcome to..." She wanted to greet the customer, but she stopped after seeing the two of them enter the shop together. She thought it was a customer, but it was Camilla and Aubrey. Camilla smiled and looked at Ember.
"Ember, how are you today?"
"I'm fine, madam."
"You should call me mom, starting today."
"Ooh, what does this mean? Ember, you agreed to accept the marriage proposal."
Aubrey's face was beaming with curiosity after she heard Camilla's words.
"Yes." Ember slightly nodded her head. Aubrey claps her hands and smiles happily as she congratulates Camilla. "Madam, congratulations."
"Aubrey, It's not that I'm the one married. You should congratulate Ember instead."
"Ember congratulations. I can't wait for the wedding." Aubrey exclaimed happily. Ember just smiles at Aubrey. She can't imagine that she will get married soon.
"Ember, can we talk?" Ember knows Camilla comes to see her because of the wedding. But she doesn't know what she wants to say to her.
"Let's go inside the office."
Both of them walked into the office in the back, and Camilla sat on the white chair in the office.
"Do you want to drink something?"
"It's okay, no need to bother. I won't be here long. Hmm... About your wedding, we have already chosen the wedding date."
"When did the wedding take place?"
"One week from now." Ember was surprised to hear Camilla's answer. That was unexpected. She thought the wedding would be a few months later, or maybe next year, but one week from now.
"What about the preparations, if the wedding takes place so soon?"
"You don't have to worry. I've arranged everything. You just need to take measurements at the bridal shop. I'll give you the address. You have to go today. And one more thing, my son has a request. He prefers not to see you before the wedding takes place. Do you agree?"

This guy had the same opinion as her. She preferred not to meet him either. If this wedding is a surprise, then let the guy she marries also be surprised, like a gift.
"That's better. I feel it would be better not to meet either."
"Okay, so, how about your mother? Will she be present?
"She's in America. She won't be here. There's no need to worry about her." For Ember, her mother doesn't care about her. She left her when she was only ten years old in order to pursue another man. The most important person in her life is her father. She doesn't need her mother in her life.
"Madam, will there be many guests present?"
"Mom, call me mom."
"M-Mom..." Ember said, hesitantly because she felt embarrassed.
"Only a few guests are invited, not many. Ember, I have to go now. This is the address of the bridal shop. You must go today, okay?." Camilla gave the bridal shop address to Ember. Ember looks at the address. The location of the bridal shop is just near her shop.
After that, they walked together toward the door. Aubrey saw them and she asked,
"Madam, are you leaving already?"
"Yes, Aubrey, see you again on the wedding day." Then Camilla left the shop. After Camilla left the shop, Ember told Aubrey about the wedding with a cheerful expression.
"Aubrey, I'm getting married next week."
"What! Next week? What about wedding preparations?" Aubrey was shocked to hear the wedding date would take place very soon.
"They'll take care of everything. Today I'm going to the bridal shop."
"Ember, are you ready to get married?" Aubrey suddenly became worried about Ember's feelings. She's concerned if she's pretending to be happy but hurts deeply inside.
"I'm not sure, but I will not annul this marriage. I will still continue this marriage." Ember smiled at Aubrey. Aubrey just stared at Ember with a worried expression. She hopes Ember will be happy with this marriage.
"Aubrey, I'm going out. I want to go to the bridal shop."
"Okay, don't worry, I'll take care of this shop."
Ember hailed a taxi and headed towards the bridal shop. After a few minutes, she arrived. Ember pays the taxi fare and gets off. Ember stood in front of the bridal shop and looked at the shop. She did not expect to go to the bridal shop alone without a partner. Ember entered the shop, and the shop worker came up to her. A man with short brown hair and brown eyes.

"Welcome to the Bridal Shop. Ooh, are you Ember?" The man asked.
"Yes, I'm Ember. How do you know?"
"Mrs. Camilla, told me you would come today. I didn't think you were so beautiful. My name is Carlos, and I'm the owner of this shop." He introduced himself proudly.
"Nice to meet you, Carlos."
"Nice to meet you too, Ember. You came alone. What about your future husband?"
"I came alone." Then she averted her eyes.
"Okay, fine, let me measure your body. Mrs. Camilla has chosen a design for you. Now all you need is your body measurements." Carlos explained it to her.
"Bust 36 inches, waist 25 inches, hips 36 inches. Wow! You have a fantastic body shape."
Ember just smiled. She doesn't know how to respond if someone compliments her body. She's feeling awkward.
"Okay, we're done."
"Can the dress be ready before the wedding takes place?"
"Don't worry, we can finish it in at least four days."
"Alright, I'll excuse myself. I need to go back to work."
"Okay, Ember, see you again on the wedding day." Ember smiled at Carlos and walked out of the shop. After Ember left the shop, Jayden came to the bridal shop. He entered the shop and was greeted by Carlos.
"Welcome to the Bridal Shop. How can I help you?"
"I came on behalf of Mrs. Camilla."
"Oh, you are the groom. Your future wife has just walked out of this shop. Why didn't you come together with her?"
Jayden remained silent. He didn't say anything. Seeing as Jayden remains silent. Carlos ignored his discomfort and continued doing his job.
"Let me measure your body."
"Is she beautiful?" Jayden suddenly opened his mouth to ask because of his curiosity.
"Haha, of course, you're very lucky." Carlos responded happily. After that, Jayden just kept quiet and didn't say a word. Again, Carlos felt the awkward pressure around him. He wants to finish his job faster because he's feeling uncomfortable around Jayden.
"Alright, we're done."
"Thank you." Jayden said and left the shop without saying anything about the wedding outfits. He actually doesn't care about this wedding. He's just following his mother's order. He returns to his car. Inside the car, Xander was waiting for him.
"Master, where do you want to go now?"
Jayden sighed, "I don't know. My mother told me to just stay at home."
"If that's the case, we'll go back to the mansion." Xander suggested, and he drove back to the mansion. Jayden didn't say anything. He also wanted to return to his mansion and get some sleep so he could calm his feelings and emotions.
While Ember was serving customers, the shop's doorbell rang. "cringgg"
Ember looked towards the door to greet the incoming customer, but she was silent as she saw her ex-boyfriend Zane coming. Ember ignored him. Ember continued to serve other customers. Zane patiently waited for Ember. Aubrey saw Zane, and she also ignored him. Aubrey really wanted to slap Zane on the face when she saw him. But she holds back her anger because she doesn't want to make things complicated.
After Ember finished serving the customer, Zane said, as he approached her, "My dear, we need to talk."
"Please stop calling me, my dear. We're not in a relationship anymore."
"I'm sorry. Please don't leave me. I still love you. Please give me one more chance. S-She's just my friend; we don't have any special relationship." Zane pleaded.
"Friend? Are you kidding me? Don't give me a stupid excuse. Get out! I don't want to see your face anymore." Ember exclaimed angrily. She felt hurt deep inside her heart when she remembered the scenes she saw.
"My dear... I'm sorry." Zane pleaded again. The longer she looks at Zane's face, the more she becomes irritated. Ember lost her patience and temper.
"Get out... I said, get out!" Zane was shocked. Ember scolded him. This is the first time he saw Ember lose her temper. Zane walked out towards the door with a sad face. Aubrey walked to the shop door and opened it for Zane. She glared at Zane with a disgusted expression on her face.

The carnomancer

The resulting explosion killed him instantly, and now he has been reincarnated into the world of Rokna. In this new world of magic, monsters, and conflict join him under his new identity Adimir freelancer the adventurer half-elf as he seeks a way to live out an exciting life of researching new and creative ways of combining magic and science. But with a tyrannical empire beginning to prepare for a bloody war the signs of turmoil begin to loom on the horizon. Adimir will face numerous challenges. Both challenges to those native to this world, and against other people have come from earth. Author's comment: I'll be uprfont with you on the entire war thing that the description hints at. Yes it will eventually happen, and many of the strange and out of place things in the beginning will tie into that. Not that it will be explained until much later in the novel. In fact the first 100 or 200 chapters will be spent on the main character growing stronger as an adventurer before the entire war even begins to start rearing its ugly head. So for those eager for the war to kick off sorry, but there won't be a big explosive war so early. At least not with the empire (although if you read carefully you may be able to pick up signs of how close the war is with what happens in the story). But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind. If you have any criticism please tell me. I'd love to read them and will be using them to help me in improving my writing quality as time goes on. Experience is the best teacher after all.
