The apartment doorbell rang while they were talking. Aubrey stood up and walked to the front door. When she opened the door, she was greeted by a young, stunning woman. Camilla, Jayden's mother, stood in the doorway.
"Is Ember here?" Camilla smiles, waiting for a response from Aubrey.
"Y-Yes, she's here. Come in." Aubrey invited Camilla inside, but she was confused and curious. She thinks, Who is this woman?
"Ember is in her bedroom. She is not feeling well." Aubrey alerted her.
"Tell me where her room is."
"This way." Aubrey led Camilla to Ember's bedroom, but she still felt confused.
"How are you, Ember?" Camilla's presence at her home surprised Ember. Ember wanted to stand up, but Camilla held her shoulder and motioned for her to sit.
"Madam, how do you..." Ember was about to ask a question, but Camilla cut her off.
"Your father informed me that he was running late to work today, and I ran into him. He informed me that you were sick."
"Didn't my father already tell you that I turned down the proposal?"
Aubrey was taken aback when she learned that this person had proposed to Ember on her son's behalf because she looked too young to be a mother to an adult man.
"Yes, your father told me." Camilla smiled.
"But why do you still care about me?"
"Because I like you." Camilla's words make Ember speechless, and the room is surrounded by silence. Aubrey broke the silence when she came near Camilla.
"Excuse me, madam, but you need to convince her to accept the proposal. She is now a free woman. Her boyfriend is having an affair with another women." Camilla's ears were filled with Aubrey's whispers.
"Really?" Camilla inquired, her face bright and cheerful. Aubrey gave a slight nod.
"I will make an effort to persuade her." Aubrey received a good response from Camilla. They both had a small laugh.
Ember frowns after hearing them whispering to each other, "I'm sorry, but I can hear both of you."

"Is your son handsome, Madam? You're stunning. Your son must be extremely attractive as well." Aubrey was excited to know.
"Of course, he's extremely attractive and tall, making him a perfect match for Ember. They're a matching set." Camilla proudly compliments her son, and her eyes glance looks at Ember. She wants to see Ember's reaction. But Ember remains silent.
"Wow, Ember, you're so lucky. You don't have to wait years to be proposed to. You've been together for a long time, but there's no end in sight." Aubrey is trying hard to persuade her.
"How can I marry someone I don't love?" Ember, who was silent earlier, expressed her feelings.
"Love after marriage can exist, and it can be stronger than love before marriage," Camilla sighed as she sat beside Ember.
"Madam, I believe you forced your son to marry, but why?" Ember was really curious about the situation, and she really wanted to know the reason. Camilla remained silent for a brief moment.
"Because we don't want to lose him. I can't give you any more information, but we desperately want to save our son. He needs to get married and start a family. Ember, I implore you to reconsider. I promise I'll look after you like a mother." Camilla felt guilty because she couldn't tell Ember the reason, but she had no choice.
Ember felt a headache and didn't know what she should do. She didn't want to see Camilla feeling bad, so she gave her response. "Please give me some time to think, Madam. I'll give you the answer later."
"All right, take your time thinking. I won't force you." She smiled at Ember, and suddenly, her phone rang, and she answered the call. After she hung up the call, she spoke to Ember, "Ember, I need to go because I have some urgent business."
"Allow me to send you out." Aubrey said, and then she walked with Camilla to the door.
Ember exited the room and sat in the living room. Aubrey approaches Ember and sit together.

"Aubrey, do you agree that I'm getting married?" She also wants to know Aubrey's opinion about the marriage.
"I'm not sure, but I believe this is best for you, but the decision is entirely yours." After hearing Aubrey's response, Ember let out a deep sigh.
At a restaurant, Camilla and Fabian meet Jayden. They shared a meal together.
"I didn't expect you to take us to lunch together, my dear." Camilia exclaimed joyfully.
"Is this the first time we've eaten lunch together, Mom?"
"Haha, I didn't mean it like that."
"Mom and dad, I'll accept the marriage." Fabian and Camilla exchanged glances; they were shocked, because that was an unexpected answer from Jayden.
"Jayden, as your father, I'm so glad to hear your decision."
"But, on one condition." Jayden added.
"What exactly is it, my dear?" Camilla was curious, and she exchanged glances with Fabian.
"I believe it is best not to meet her before marriage. I'd rather not know what she looks like."
"Ohh, that's fine. I suppose neither of you need to meet. I'm guessing Emb... She'd rather not meet you, either." Camilla was glad to hear Jayden's condition. She thought it would be a bad request. But Camilla's words made Jayden frown instead.
"Honey, about Emb..." Fabian was trying to say something, but Camilla cut him off.
"You don't need to be concerned, hubby," Camilla smiles and winks at Fabian.
Jayden cleared his throat. "It appears you've met your future daughter-in-law,"
"Of course, she is... hmm... forget it, let's eat." Camilla stopped talking because she didn't want to overreact.
Ember lay on the couch in the evening. Ember heard the door open. She sat down to see who was coming. Her father returned home from work.
"Papa, why did you come home so early today?"
"I'm concerned about your condition. Are you getting better?" Damian inquired as he touched Ember's forehead. "Yes, don't worry. I'm fine, papa."
"I'll take a shower first, then I'll cook today." Damian told Ember while he was loosening his necktie.
Following the meal, Ember was watching a movie with her father on the couch.
"Papa, I think I will accept their marriage proposal."
"Is this for real? What's up with this abrupt change of heart? You can't think rationally because you're heartbroken?"
"No, papa, I don't care who I marry. True love no longer exists for me." Ember had already made her decision. Before this, she thought only someone crazy would marry without love, but she was wrong. Sometimes they choose different paths for some reason. In her case, she chose to get married without love because she doesn't care anymore. True love no longer exists for her. If in this marriage she can help someone be happy, she's fine. She's surrendered everything to fate.
"Ember... real love exists if we meet the right person."
"But how can we tell if someone is our true love? We have no idea, do we? So I'm open to marrying anyone." Ember is steadfast in her decision. Damian sighed as he looked at Ember. He was speechless at her decision. But he thinks maybe she will find her own happiness with this marriage.
"Papa, please inform them that I am going to marry their son." Ember said, as she entered her room. Damian sat silently for a few moments. He sighed and reached for his phone, dialing Camilla's number.
"What's the matter, Damian?"
"My daughter, Ember, accepted your marriage proposal."
"What? Oh my goodness, I'm happy to hear this good news." Camilla was overjoyed after she heard the answer from Damian.
"That's all I have to say."
"All right, thanks for the good news, Damian." Camilla replied, with a cheerful voice, and they hung up the call.
