The scenery changed from the tomb to a forest ,It look extremely peaceful and serene . The first thing I noticed was that I was utterly alone, that was kind of a relief but I was worried about Yona .A little ... but knowing her she would be just fine. Second of all I noticed a notification "Rank up" was appearing when I focused my vision to the top right.

Sighing I needed to take a moment to process what the fuck just happened, Excuse my French. Laying my back on the tree I looked up to the blue artificial sky , was this created by the dungeon lord? Had to be . So lets run through the situation at hand I'm in a SSS rank dungeon, I'm trapped here until I beat said dungeon, I was force fed something weird, I have no allies and I'm being watched for entertainment, if I meet the other adventurers they possibly might kill me...

This was too much I wanted to go home, I wasn't the type to get depressed but this situation sucked .I'll probably never see mom and dad again... even if didn't die, the chances of me clearing 9999 floors in my lifetime were slim.

Regardless I didn't want to live a pathetic existence , looking over to the rank up i mentally accepted. The world went black but I was still awake, at least mentally .In front of me where 6 different options, they seemed to be the choices for what I could summon at D rank.

Lets see summon skeleton could undead speak,? while it would be nice to have something that followed my orders , they couldn't speak or think so that a no. Summon Gnome, it could speak solving one problem but didn't seem that powerful and my life was on the line here. Summon bear had the same problem as the skeleton .Now I was only left with Lesser fire spirit, Lesser Ice spirit, and Baby dragon. Lesser spirits were decently strong and intelligent but from the sound of it they both have major weaknesses. So now summon Baby dragon , mhh at first dragon immediately sounds enticing but it was a baby , chances were that it couldn't fend for itself.

The first few seemed to be strong now and weaker later, while the spirits took the least investment but I'm sure out of 9999 floors they're are bound to end up in a sticky situation especially if the floor is the opposite of their affinity. The dragon on the other hand, it wasn't a lesser dragon but a full blown baby .if I could somehow survive the early stages of the dungeon it might turn out to be a supreme like summon.

MHhhhh I want to take a look around first, depending on how strong this first level is will coordinate on which summon I choose. I wasn't tired so I decided to get up, for some reason this dungeon forest was following the day and night cycle as I could see the sun going down, but it wasn't full blown night yet. I only had the cloths on my back so I had to focus on getting shelter and finding a source of water. Food was necessary but that could come afterword, I begin walking trying to make as little noise as possible. It helped that there weren't any leaves on the ground nor branches, this environment was a little to perfect. I could tell this dungeon lord hasn't seen the outside world in a long time.

After walking a few minutes my ears picked up on some's strange sounds

Glug Glug Glug Glug

That was probably a monster ,I needed to hide. Ducking behind a tree I bent over peering around it. It was a Fungi monster more specifically a mushroom with a green top and a white base .It didn't have hands or feet so it jumped along the path, every time it landed it made a glug sound.

This didn't seem very strong but you never know, I'm going to avoid this one and see what else there is .After a few more minutes I came across a blue , and green slime duo at the lower levels they weren't even dangerous because of how incredibly small they were. The time passed with me checking out various non aggressive low level monsters. I guess this really was floor one , in a sick way this was my lucky break.

It was now night time and i didn't want to spend the night without a summon. I was in a area where there was a cave and a stream nearby, the perfect newbie forest. I stopped by the stream to get some water, bending down i decided to just drink straight from the river instead of cupping my hands .When in rome do as in rome they say , i wanted to avoid the cave unless it rained. Many Newbies thought caves offer a temporary house but that couldn't be further from the truth. They carry nasty diseases and can be a deathtrap since there's only one way in. I also didn't want to stay to close to the river because water is bound to attract living creatures.

Rustle Rustle

Speaking of living creatures what looked like to be goblin appeared behind me. Oh shit I'm screwed should i try to intimidate him?, hell no that's not going to work. Seeing my panicked face the goblin said "Hold on don't panic we aren't going to hurt you ,we've just came to investigate the new smell."

The goblin talked! and what did he mean by we? Nature answered my question when a dozen more goblin warriors walked out of the forest.

"you can talk!?"

"Ehh... yes. The names Gemo More importantly who are you , i've never seen a goblin that wasn't green !are you some type of hybrid?"

Oh did they think i was a goblin? their misunderstanding saved my ass

"He's big too" said a female voice

looking over was a female goblin with rags and skins draped around her private bits. I briefly looked over her , her figure was 10/10 for a goblin, Damn it lizard brain this was not to time to oogle

"Certainly, now hybrid would you like to visit the village the chief. We could always use a goblin as big as you in the village"

This could be a good opportunity to get supplies and a decent play to sleep ,but if the village chief had a inkling that i was human it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to say that they would eat me.

"Uhh no , i like it here in the forest"

"i know how you feel" he said as if remembering some fond event suit your self then"

Gemo and his allies began leaving through the forest one by one. Alone again i darted in the opposite direction that the goblins came from , when i finally felt like i was a good distance away i took a breather .I recollected my thoughts

This is definitely the summon I'm going with, this floor was seemingly very passive and that was the type of environment you needed to raise a baby. There was no rush and there was plenty of food and water. Time to find out if dragons drunk water and if the baby needed milk or not ... was i overthinking this i mean it is a summon. Taking a deep breath i thought summon dragon

A blinding black light enveloped the whole area leaving me speechless. Were all D class summon this powerful?

A big black headed lizard appeared from thin air and was standing alert head held high, not even 1 second after being born it looked as proud an dignified as a dragon should have

"are you the one who summoned me" a deeper voice then my own resounded through the forest

The dragon its self was at knee level with his head and paws being disproportionally bigger then the rest of his body, for a baby in my humble opinion he is huge. Since this is our first meeting i need to act as dignified as him right, or at least match it.

-Y- my voice cracked "Yes!"

"I see , and why for?"

!Why? Well because i wanted to test out my brand new and only skill .I was scared and alone , i didn't want to end up somethings nighttime snack, the list went on and on. If i told him that he'd lose all respect for me though! I thought summons were more submissive then this

Befitting of a ruler?, i'm just a D ranking adventurer the furthest thing from a ruler possible. I did do a lot of reading before i become trapped in this dungeon, should i just recycle a old name of legend. mhh no i feel like that would come back to bite me in the ass. Think Alioth you can do this how about Megadrake, ahhhhh! that would be like being called megahuman. Ok how about Zhila! nah Sesa! ugh . maybe Zhilsiza. well its not much better then the other things i've been coming up with not like i'm very creative , lets try rolling the dice

The Fledging dragon looked at me with eyes sparkling with its little baby wings flappy

"Zhilsiza , acceptable. Now if you want to know my ability the only thing i have that i know of is breath of madness, its passive ability is corrupt"

His chest bulged and and a decently sized black flame as emitted from his jaws .Hitting the tree to the side of me burning it to a crisp. i was awestruck wasn't this just a baby? I expected a small wisp of a flame to engage from his mouth not that rocket fire!

"That was amazing "

"Flattery will get you nowhere "

He said that while puffing up his chest. Being a tsundere was more common then i thought

"What does corrupt do?"

"Its the passive skill for Breath of madness , if the target hit isnt killed their insides will be corrupted and burning them from inside"

So basically he has a big damage spell and it does passive damage .

"how long does it burn them from inside"

saying it out loud sounded more gruesome and brutish

"As long as they live"

Was this guy a brute, exactly what i needed!

"The summon skills says baby dragon are you a actual baby dragon or spirit summon"

Looking at me I could tell his expression changed

" Sigh I can tell you're still new to summoning because your still a low level"

"You can tell that just from looking at me?"

"We are linked together so yes i can sense you, you can sense me as well if you tried. But to answer your other question i am more of a familiar then a summon so Yes i am a baby dragon and will grow as you grow."

"If you a baby how do you know how to talk? "

"I'm not talking were communicating telepathically, i can do it with everyone i meet "

Now that i noticed it his mouth wasn't moving at all. He didn't seem hostile or all that power hungry this could be the dawn of a new friendship.

Since it was night time at this point i went to sleep while he looked out for us,

Rustle Rustle

I woke up when i heard the bushes rustling , was something watching us. Oh no im scared! I have to put on a tough front for Zhilsiza he was still a kid after!. Or so i thought

"WHO GOES THERE!" Zhilsiza roar at the bushes

Eeeek! "Dont eat me im not a threat " she plotted on her butt from the bushes with her hands up in front of her upper body in defense.

"You wouldn't kill a fellow goblin right?" she said with a wry smile

"I would" Zhilsiza retorted coldly

Zhilsiza from my perspective looked silly , he was a big lizard to me and that was that. From Gablas perspective though i could tell she felt as if he was a predatory animal. Instincts probably

eek!" I submit " she said prostrating her self and shaking her butt. This girl knew my weakness! She was dangerous, She made sure to keep one eye open in order to gauge our reaction

"Don't worry he wont eat you" i said trying to reassure her

"If you command" He stated and sat on all fours , making sure to keep his dignified posture. I wonder if that ever got tiring

"Zhilsiza here is my familiar and friend, what was your name i never got it when we met last time"

"This lowly one is Gabla, oh great dragon tamer"

She now was in a sitting position and was acting as naturally as she did before .I guess she cozied up quickly , maybe because she thought i was a goblin or the great dragon tamer or whatever. Either way i can't believe i was talking to a monster.

"uhh so why were you following me?"

i decided to ask because it wasn't right to assume her intentions monster or not.

"Well a girl got curious! i mean you don't smell like anyone I've met before and your huge and your not even interested in going to the village. So i tailed ya and wanted to see what you were like. Never did i think i would find a goblin that controls a dragon are you a wizard or something?"

ehh wizard more like a victim. I'm glad she thought of me in such a amazing light though I'm not even going to lie. I didn't know much about the monsters in this dungeon so this would be a good time to gather intel, i need to approach this smoothly. I knew how to be smooth

" ehh something like that, uhhh do all the goblins forest speak? same thing with the slimes and mushrooms?"

"You really aren't from around here are you, or are you just racist of course they speak! granted we all don't speak the same language and some are more hostile then others but yeah"

Wow in a way I'm actually pretty glad i didn't just kill those monsters, maybe i could've just asked them for directions or something .

"Oh interesting... uhh so what are you going to do now?"

"So you use me then think about abandoning me!?"

Her face had a mischievous grin , man what are they teaching these girls in goblin school.

"Ahhh no its just you see I'm a traveler so i wont necessarily be here for that long"

It wasn't that much of a lie but it was true in a sense ,i was a traveler and was going to try to progress through the dungeon

"I have a request for you oh dragon master"

Every time she referred to me as a dragon master or tamer Zhilsiza would snort , notably in pride. Looking at the seemingly innocent looking goblin girl my sinful eyes made sure to look at everything.

Look i cant help that I'm like this! Back to Gabla

"uhh what is it?"

"Take me with you when you leave!"

"Huuh?"

I thought she was going to say something like come to the goblin village or let me take a ride on Zhilsiza .

"Umm i cant wouldn't that be kidnapping? plus can you leave this... environment?"

I didn't know for sure if she knew that world she lived in was a dungeon, that might make her have a mid life crisis. Then again now that i look around me i don't even know if the world i live in isn't some big dungeon. Plus could monsters even leave the dungeon floor, that was unheard of.

"well that's a long story i don't even know if you can handle what i'm about to tell you"

Did she know something that i didn't after all she was a native of this dungeon.

After waiting in suspense with me leaning in she didn't say anything

"Uhh are you going to say anything "

"Well i don't want to tell you for free you have to come to the village with me and you have to promise to take me!"

I didn't know if i could do that but would it hurt? If i thought about this logically though, the dungeon would get progressively harder and could this short stack goblin even survive future dungeons, i was doubtful.

"I'll go to the village with you and we'll go from there" i answered

She looked at me while pouting but that seemed to satisfy her

"Ok that will work but no running away now!"

Rumble, my stomach was rumbling

I was starting to get hungry the last time i eaten was this morning

"Before we go can we get some food? i haven't eating since this morning"

"There's food at the village the most i could get you out is grilled fish"

Well i guess we were going to go the village , with Zhilsiza here i didn't feel quite as apprehensive.

"Uhh by the way about your dragon... is there anyway you can hide it. I don't know how the villagers will react to you know... seeing a legendary being and all"

Taking that as his que to say something dragon like

"I REFUSE be hidden!"

"ahh well there you go" i said while scratching my head. He was going to take some getting used to

"well I'm sure things will work out... somehow, now follow me"

going through the twist and turns of the forest we expertly arrived at a small and run down village. The outside consisted of a decently high but poorly put together wooden gate , inside the village were small shacks to medium sized shacks and the biggest shack was at the very end of all of them. I don't know if i should be impressed or not for a goblin village , everything did look quite well maintained.

"Hey Gabla!" a random goblin male said

" hey chuck"

"Hey Gabla long time no see" a random goblin female said

"Hey gaba!"

She was quite popular within this village, it seemed like a tight nit community. It reminded me of Lunka back when i was there, Overall it's giving me good vibes .Gabla pointed the the biggest and furthest building in the distance

" You see the big building that's where we're heading, i didn't tell you this earlier but I'm actually the chiefs daughter."

She looked back at me supposedly looking for a reaction of some sort .If she was looking for a reaction i sadly couldn't offer what she wanted my shock meter was already at max once i found out the monsters we've been killing could talk and understand us.

"Er ok..."

Seeing as how i didn't react she just continued walking in silence. No one was saying anything about Zhilsiza maybe because they respected Gabla or maybe like her they feared being eaten either worked for me.

We reached Gabla's house or better yet the chiefs house.

"Gabla!"

a Super buff Hobgoblin with a bald head and scars riddling his body summersaulted out from the flap that served as a makeshift door .I was surprised that they didn't have a door .you would expect goblins to do more stealing, guess i was right about it being a friendly community, though looking at the hulking hobgoblin... maybe.

"Gabla! Get back that's a human!"

eek! Gabla did get back but her brain had a small malfunction and instead of jumping behind her father she jumped behind me. How did he notice me and not my dragon buddy?

" father wait! This is my boyfriend!"

All the tension in the air ceased and the once intimidating Hob started rolling around on the ground with his hands covering his face. Then he got on his knees ejecting a massive flow of tears from his eyes, while holding onto Gabla.

"How could this be, your only 29 your still my little angel. daddies not ready for my pookiemookiebooki bear to grow up. Why a human and not a good respectable goblin who works in the caves, look at him he has a giant lizard as his only friend"

That pissed off Zhilsiza i could feel it but he didn't even say anything, the whole situation seemed to amuse him .which was a little blessing for me because i was confident as small as he was , he could reduce this wooden village to ash.

"Dad! don't say such embarrassing things in front of him, I'm not 6 years old anymore!! and what do you mean human"

"The dad stop weeping and stood back up strong doing a complete 180 in personality "that's a human! cant you tell by how he smells? The only way a human can enter here is if he's an dungeon raider , to put it bluntly he's our enemy"

"Is that true?" Gabla turned around like i had stole her candy, if she was going to start becoming hostile it pained my heart but i would have kill the people in this village .I had a family to get back to and I've only known her momentarily.

"Well partially true i am a human, but I'm not your enemy if you don't make me. I have no intention to do harm to you or anyone in this village im not a even much of a fighter to begin with. This lizard that you speak of is also a dragon just for you information"

I put that last part in so Zhilsiza wouldn't vaporize this pair. The chief and Gabla seemed to be considering my words.

"So your dating my daughter and mean no harm?"

Gabla looked over to me and winked, which i assumed meant to go along with it

"uh yea"

"Mhhh and how do we know that , that lizard is really a dragon"

"are you blind or do i need to prove it, call me a lizard one more time and I'll subtract you to dust"

Holy moly this guy was legit only a few hours old and he had the confidence of a lion, i needed to take notes. Also i had to stop this before it really happened.

"NO! don't do that we're all friends here ,uhh if we show him why not show everyone"

All this for Gabla... which begs the question on why i was doing this in the first place. I don't know i was probably just soft , i cant believe I'm doing this for a monster.

"ok call the whole village were going to burn down some trees"

30 minutes later we were surrounded by over 100 goblins in a semi circle with us to the front. I didn't know what the chief said to gather everyone but Zhilsiza only job was to burn stuff, and judging from his attitude that's what he liked to do. Standing in front of a crowd ,Gabla and the chief were to my side . I was very anxious but i couldn't show weakness they were civilized , for now that is .In their eyes i was a powerful dragon tamer in my eyes i was just a someone that wanted out of this dungeon.

"Alioth do you know how to properly use your summon power?" Zhilsiza telepathically said to me

"No" i responded telepathically

"Our thoughts and emotions are linked so when you feel strongly about something so do i to a degree .Magic is effected by emotion especially so for summoners, so to amplify my magic think your most expressive thoughts along with imagining them. It can make your magic staggeringly stronger since your magic is influenced by your inner state"

That made some sense i suppose. Taking a deep breath i tried to envision fire, wait Zhilsiza's fire was black. I tried to envision black fire and what was a negative emotion i had?, i was happy go lucky almost all my life. Oh maybe The dungeon master i couldn't even say i hated him even though me put me through alot of things. While i was thinking of it something deep in my core started to boil up, i don't know what it was but it was something different , something like insanity.

ROARRRRRRRRR

Zhilsiza opened his mouth that was barely containing the flames and whammed a fire breath 3times the size of what he showed me in the forest burst from his lungs destroying more then just a little bit of forest .Even the ground under it was burned and it didn't look like it would recover anytime soon .I was speechless and it looks like everyone else was as well, when i looked over to the chief i could see a cold sweat drip from his shining forehead. I needed to act like this was all part of the plan.

"Zhilsiza Excellent Breath of madness" i said while mimicking his proud posture

"Indeed" He stated matter of factly

"Oh wow! your insanely strong, your way stronger then daddy "

"Gabla! " mhhn mhh he cleared his throat "that was ok workers come clean this up"

That was a bad idea if they touched the area they might just burn to death from the passive

"Wait you don't want to do that" Seeing as i said the the workers immediately stopped and relief flashed across their face, maybe they didn't want to get burned to a crisp like the trees.

"oh and why not?"

"My fire breath isnt like a basics dragons breath, if it touches you even a little you'll be burned from the inside out for all of eternity. For your own lively hood do as your told"

Zhilsiza really did have of way of making himself sound grandiose, he probably could somewhat feel what I'm thinking so i could imagine its his way of helping me out.

"My partner is right , please for your own safety just mark the area as a forbidden zone"

"Understood you do have the strength to protect my daughter Dragon tamer, now lets go back to the main house and discuss your intentions"

So far so good i guess , lets just see where this goes having another companion on this journey could prove to be very beneficial.

Returning back to the chief's main house we all gathered around a not burning fire pit.

"Ok Gabla i want you to explain just what the hell is going on"

promptly getting up from her seat she explained

"Alioth is going to take me to see the world, he agrees with me when i say I've been in this village wayyyyyyy to long. He also agrees when i say im a grown girl and the most beautiful goblin alive isnt that right Alioth"

"Uhhm maybe, so what are your thoughts chief"

"MAYBE!?"

we ignored Gabla and continued

The chief looked to be contemplating deeply
