《Eternal Eclipse Of Destiny》Chapter 6

He raised his eyes and theirs were obviously locked on him.
Yan s face transformed from bewildered to very unimpressed in less than two seconds. He was sure that whoever this was they are a very skilled cultivator and he was almost seeing himself studying under their wing. But all of that faded away as fast as it was produced.
Though not obvious, he should have guessed that there is only one person in this universe who dares to interrupt a spell or cultivators at work. That one person who has no dignity or acts at the top of his head without even thinking of the likely outcomes.
As this hero of an intruder stood there, everyone s expectations were counting on Yan hoping he would prompt this Childe to identify himself, but instead Yan just ignored his call for duty , coiled his whip then turned to walk away admist the process
DeJang scoffed softly and then he walked calmly following the direction that Yan went . He knows that he has annoyed Yan but there is nothing on this world that DeJang could do and Yan won't find maddening. Despite them almost being in the same level and industry, DeJang keeps feeding Yan a reason to believe that he is immature.
in spite of how this may seem ,their aquintancy is not on the aggressive side if anything they are a lot more like friends in denial. Reason is DeJang likes to show off and become unnecessarily child-minded whenever he is around Yan and Yan thinks he should stop it. It's unclassy and puts a bad name on cultivators. But seeing the way Yan gets worked up about his behavior, how dare DeJang let the opportunity slide to have fun infuriating his 'GongZi' as he likes to tease him.
Anyway, DeJang strode in every step. His cold vibe was really disturbing. The playfulness that he puts out is only restricted to his actions but that has an on/off button . That means that there is a extreme difference between when he is being playful and not . Just like now when he is not doing anything childish, his look is excruciatingly traumatizing to the core. His pale skin and lack of a happy expression makes him look like he is a gruesome flesh-eating beast.
However the case, the combination of a venous icy spikes infused with flawless features topped with junior level cultivation all makes DeJang the living example of a poison ivy. Diabolical and Breath-taking.
He continued to walk boastfully through his shocked audience of cultivators and imperial guards who were leering at him from underneath the Lang passage s XieShan roof. They stood there watching the whole scene as they were told not to stand near the seal so the Lang passage that offers entry to the palace was a good idea. They probably didn't realize they were staring mouth agape at DeJang but it is not an uncommon sight for this young viper. This is probably the effect because DeJang seldom goes out in public and when he does only a handful of cultivators have the privilege of meeting him.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, Yan flew up and landed onto the last stair and he pushed open the eight foot door of heavy wood and steel , coated by hundred years of artistry.
This huge door opens to large room that the ZongZhungs were already waiting to hear what he has to say.
After he stepped inside, he bowed to everyone. All the sect leaders felt honored to be in the presence of this GongZi simply because of the color of his belt , despite being at such a young age.
He then walked over to stand in front of the king , where YongSun was standing to his right.
" Zhao MeiYang, junior demon cultivator from the south sect. Your graceness rules the land" he bowed to the king with the universal symbol of honor
" DeJang, junior cultivator of the west sect", he added softly mimicking MeiYang s gesture. DeJang s face unlike most of his actions that are like a rollercoaster that likes to be bubbly , is always serious. This is indeed very confusing. A child minded person who seldom smiles.
His Shifu looked and cringed a little. Of course DeJang is the best and only cultivator in his field under the heavens but the fact that he is so mischievous , makes Liu BingWen feel like he ages five decades before time everytime he shows up.
"Its grotesque appearance makes it difficult to tell whether it was a spirit or dream ", the white angel cultivator spoke
" Imagination creature are made from the air and to the air they return upon death. But this beast has a core similar to how a human had a brain. The presence of a core cancels the possibility of it being anything dream or spirit however its contradictory to declare it as anything else ", explained DeJang
"Its core is well developed too . ", He added holding the orb out to the king.
" You brought it here?", shrieked YongSun. His beautiful face looked so amazing as he got agitated by DeJang holding out the black orb to his father. The king also had the same expression as well as other sect leaders. All the sect leader wanted to leave the room at this point.
" Don't worry, it's completely harmless", he consoled YongSun causally , forgetting to add honorifics. Liu BingWen felt his blood pressure rise as this signals that the west sect doesn't teach manners, but they do.Its just that DeJang is more stubborn than red wine on paper . The cultivator standing next to him was screaming so much inside. If they were alone he would have ran so far away or even summoned a gold leaf on him
" The qi has been revoked therefore it's no different from an empty container. ", he spoke calmly, trying to thaw the awkwardness that was just born
The leaders looked to Yan to ask him how he deduced that the creature has a 'core'.

"Only dream cultivators can tell that. But because of this young master s relentless authenticity, he managed to approach with caution and issue a bounding spell. Without that spell , killing the beast without exploding the core, would have been a far-fetched dream", DeJang sang without once smiling.
DeJang whispered to him
" in this world dreams come true".
His Shifu needed burying at this moment. It's a sin to whisper in the presence of sect leaders or elders and superior cultivators at the training place. What more of the palace or the presence of the king
The leaders looked to one another. Did DeJang just praise or mock Zhao Yan?
Yan didn't know what he was working with. The fact that he risked exploding that thing makes him feel bad but knowing that DeJang helped him stop that makes him feel worse.
The leaders looked to the king who was looking to the young cultivators.
"You are from the west, the ones at the seal. what have you found?", the king asked
" Nothing different but I have reason to believe that the creature outside the seal is getting stronger by the minute . Most importantly I think they have a core ", he professionally declared
"Pardon my ignorance but what does that mean?", YongSun spoke respectfully . The tone of his voice had changed drastically from earlier on and it was moving on the negative acceleration platform.
"I can't say for sure but if the creature does have a core then it will keep absorbing vital energy, growing until there is a point that nothing can destroy without self-destruction. Maybe except a being of boundless core", he spoke to YongSun. But he averted his eyes when he detected a slight change to YongSun s composure.
DeJang knows that celestial beings who are allerged to live in the sky, do not exist because heaven is just a castle in the sky , with no one inside. Its function is to house mass destruction weapons.
These weapons are used to channel extreme amounts energy that are naturally ceaseless but brutally powerful. Such power builds up overtime and thus has to be contained. Beings that could have the capability to contain that much energy have to have an amorphous core otherwise known as a formless body to avoid destruction.Any ambitious cultivator lower than that level of a nebulous core will be destroyed as his vital energy will be sucked bone dry before they even enter the heaven s door.
Actually the thing is to have a boundless core , the body must be indeterminate. By that it means the physical form should not be defined. There should be no restrictions that exist defined by the bounds of the core. As such it's best to conclude should celestial beings exist they would do so as spirit. But the only spirits that exist here are those that possess the organism and form a symbiotic-like relationship. Basically there are no good spirits.
The whole concept around the use of the weapons and spirits is not exact, just that forbidding their use of weapons is like making suicide illegal.
Anyway Yan looked to DeJang who was focused elsewhere. Yan s look screamed judgement and the need to withdraw his whip.
"It's best to find a way to destroy the creature before they teach the immortal level", explained DeJang.
Immortality in this context doesn't mean that the creature will leave forever but that its core strength is large enough that it seems the creature has lived for far too long.
" That is the best solution for now", the king nodded to the young Childes.
He looked to the sect masters and they joined their hands showing that they agree with DeJang.
DeJang looked at YongSun who looked away in embarrassment. YongSun started gawking at the tiles for no reason.
DeJang turned to Yan to ask him if he saw that and he found Zhao Yan looking at him like he is going to peel off his skin.
Because Zhao Yan s hair was placed in a push back that was held in place at the back with a bronze like curly hair pin, him looking at DeJang like that made the receiver of his reprimand feel the need to regress
Yan was wearing blinding light blue silk garments. His whips hang to his side at the top of his hip like a black coral snake . The handles were made of white jade and had several markings on it . These markings on them bare no meaning, they are just there for aesthetic appeal.
" YongSun, have someone call for the royal advisor", the king said. He then proceeded to stand up and then everyone bowed to him .
The king s advisor had not been called as this is not a meeting that only concerns things of the mortal realm. Be that the case , it doesn't mean that he can't be of some service.
After the king had disappeared from the scene, YongSun slowly raised his face and DeJang was five feet instead of five meters from him
YongSun moved back a little and he bowed.
" How can I be of help?", YongSun felt his ears get red as he whispered this sentence.
" Your highness, there are bad things out there so I will walk you as you complete the task the king assigned. After all petals need not be left fluttering in the wind", he tried to justify. Yet again he didn't smile despite the moment begging for it
Yan watched in disbelief as DeJang was getting too comfortable in the palace.
He shook his head at this scene . Then he turned and headed back to the team outside

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
