《Smiling Chaos》Chapter 17

Mr Gong walked lazily into the IT server room.He was really tired. He had not gotten a descent night's rest for the past four days.He had been working on the virus back to back and right now he feels like he just ran from Mars barefooted while carrying Jupiter.
But it's all his fault. He should not have pitched to Principal Park that there is a snake when the snake is not even existing at all. It's like saying he has Ares s statue when infact he only has a lump of clay which in this case is a detailed explanation of the snake s features, the template of features and his knowledge in constructing.Of course he didn't say that the snake was ready but it was sort of implied in how he presented the matter to Principal Park.
Anyway he opened the door handle slowly feeling as if the cold metal had sharp spikes on it. The reason is that he had downed so much coffee that his metabolism is sky high so most definitely he will release heat and feel unnaturally hot.He forced his hand to remain on the handle as he pushed the handle down and the door as well and he walked inside.
The IT room is always cold to help cool the computers incases they overheat.
As he walked inside he felt the chilly air rushing into his bones and he almost shivered a little. He closed the door by pushing it with the other hand holding his bag.All the while he didn't turn at all.The sound of the hovering of the CPUs on the table were the only thing accompanying the silence in the room. There was no one here because it was still really early. Most lecturers haven't even shown up to work. One could tell by the ample parking spaces at the underground parking lot.
Anyway it's not like he cares who comes and who doesn't.The only person he is concerned about right now is MinGi because they have been working on this together since Monday and it's Friday. So he had to make sure that MinGi doesn't mess up , since they split up the project amongst each other. He got the bulk of the work for obvious reasons. His head is the one on the guillotine, figuratively speaking
He knows that MinGi has a bit more indepth knowledge in these virus things and other things about the OS.So he is the only one in SeJun he can trust to help him.Yes MinGi is not that reputed in the field but it's not like Goong can enlist anybody else's help.

That being the case,Gong and MinGi have been pulling all nighters for this snake and so far they have covered a month s work. That is really impressive however there is a lot more that they have to do because pythons are like storms, things can get out of hand very quickly and the aftermath can get pretty ugly pretty fast. And because they are dealing with a reputable university s servers, there can't be any mistakes ,any unforeseen circumstances, any screw-ups.Nothing of the sort.Basically they have to be prefect. And how can one achieve perfection when taming a monster like this.Well Gong and MinGi are about to attempt the impossible. They are about to do a make or break deal with the devil and there is no room for retakes.Talk about pressure.
He walked over to one of the computers and threw his body on the chair. As soon as he landed on it, he proceeded to place his bag on the floor and entertwine his finger behind his head.Instantly that happened he closed his eyes and ticked back and forth on the chair. He smiled to himself because he was so comfortable but then his smile was replaced by indifrence because he remembered that he has to work.He sighed heavily and lowered his arms from the back of his head on to the table and drummed his fingers several times on the table before he reached for his bag..
He removed the laptop from his bag and a small thumb drive. He has to use the encrypted thumb drive for this project for reasons obvious and also he uses his person PC because he doesn't how volatile the snake is so better safe than sorry.
He switched on the PC and connected the thumb drive and he proceeded to command prompt. The rest is data science.
He pressed a lot of butons and loaded a lot of features into and out of the drive
Ten minutes later, someone opened the door and steeped into the room.Gong was focused on the screen that he didn't even bother checking who it was but it was quite obvious.
MinGi collapsed similarly into the chair a few feet from Gong as Gong had done when he got in the room.MinGi looked at Gong who was already so focused on his screen. He also proceeded to take out his laptop from his bag too.He opened the PC and began hitting a few buttons.
"Am ready. You can load him to me", remarked MinGi without taking his eyes off the screen. He was also very tired because he worked twice as hard as Gong did.Yes it was partly due to the pressure from Principal Park and Gong but a huge part of it was for self gratification. He never wants to be that person who is unreliable and selfish. So he is willing to be clip off his wings so someone else can fly.Its embedded in him to people-please.Its a lonely thing to do but it's how he has always been.

Gong looked at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?" He kind of could guess it but he doesn't want to believe it.
" I managed to create him and load him into your thumb drive.Remeber you gave me acess so that we work off one drive so it's easier to manipulate",he answered could cooly. And that's another thing about MinGi, he tends to take things really lightly. He never gives anything the seriousness it deserves unless it's about someone else Basically had their positions been swapped now, MinGi would have threw a banquet in Gong s honour. He could take straight As at school and brush it off like it was nothing but if it was someone else he would shouted it to the whole world.Once again its not clear why he is like that. But since he is so good at hiding it,no one has actually noticed that he doesn't pride himself enough, well atleast not in the way he deserves
" Are you saying...",Gong couldn't believe what MinGi is trying to tell him because it just isn't believable. How is it that MinGi could have done all that by himself.
"Yes, green cobra is active",he said calmly but proceeded to smile not because he had shocked Gong but because he felt Going s mod lighten.
"The devil is a liar !!! Song MinGi!!",as he said this as he stood up and placed his hand on his waist and another on his mouth. He really was flabbergasted. He thought he would have to explain to Principal Park that the snake is this and that but nooo! Computer genius Song MinGi had just gave birth to the most detrimental , product of imagination , self contained and independent existing entity in just three days!! It takes months to create only one feature of this snake and he just made a whole entity in three days!!!
Gong giggled in disbelief. He started to shiver not because of the cold but because he is so intimidated by the throne-worthy geek in the room.Once again the question he had asked himself so many times but failed to pose to MinGi comes flooding into his mind. why on earth is it that Song MinGi, a smart lad like this came to work for a university like SeJun.Maybe it's for internship but for how long? MinGi has been here for two years. And right now Gong wonders if MinGi isn't the father of computer science. Anyway that doesn't matter, this young lad just slashed his problem like it was nothing and he sits here so calmly. How prideful and envy-provoking
"I can't believe what you are telling me... Song MinGi!!" he said still in one position and his eyes were getting teary beacuse of how much awe he was in...
MinGi giggled and proceeded to stand up as he heard Gong almost choke on his words and as he did that Gong lost his balance and MinGi quickly caught him and supported him on the chair. As soon as Gong landed on the chair like a heavy sack of pumpkins, MinGi laughed even more and this gave Gong even more chills. He felt like he was in the presence of an evil mastermind, but the good kind...Do those even exist?
"What are you laughing at?This is a technological achievement ,never before heard of in the history of programming. You birthed a monster in three days!!" as he said this he placed his arm in the table and supported his head.He still could not comprehend what is going on, he even felt like he was lying to himself. Gong could feel tiny spasms in his hand and as such he put it out and it was shaking. He was trembling. As both of them saw this they laughed softly but for different reasons.MinGi felt heroic and Gong felt the earth spinning.
"Are you okay?",he asked rhetorically whilst laughing.Gong looked so funny when shocked .It's like he woke up to find his backyard having roses blooming pure diamonds..So surreal.
"I should be asking you that!",mocked Gong as felt that MinGi s brain should be hurting from this much thinking. Moreover he practically just curved his own name in the books of history.
MinGi felt really satisfied to have such an impact on Gong.He deserves a pat on the back for this.
"So we can begin testing today but I think it should work fine as you have DETAILEDLY explained", MinGi said while still standing next to Gong.
"Mhhm?",Gong arched his eyebrows then turned his head and gawked at MinGi.As he did that MinGi walked back to his chair and repeated what he said earlier

A guy reincarnated as a sloth and is too lazy to be a protagonist
Hey, so do you also love a Story about people getting isekai’d into another world into a body of a monster that can evolve? Yea, sucks that most of them are either Harems (honestly, at first I was like "weird flex but okay", but now every fucking story that looks like it could go somewhere just throws the MC a new love interest every 3 chapters or so), or idiots that trust the first human they see to not kill them. Also, is it just me, or do most of them evolve into a human-ish Form way too fast? I mean what is the point of a monster MC if the guy is practically just an overpowered human? Well, after like about 3 years I am kinda running out of good stories, so I'm gonna try to make one myself. It's probably gonna be pretty bad to be honest, but it has no harem so it is already better than 3/4 of novels out there. And I haven't even started yet! But to be serious now: The story is about a pretty lazy guy who reincarnates as a sloth....I haven't really planned more for now... well, good luck to me I guess. Also I am not sure if I want this to have blue screens yet... I mean they look pretty neat but personally I'm kind of sick of them. PS: If you wondered, no I am not the person that took the photo of a sloth with sunglasses...god, that dude must be living the Life...

Glitch — Alpha [Swedish] [Svenska]
********* For English readers: (Might as well add this information in English to save the lovely souls looking through our works some time) I probably won't translate this work, but I'm working on another translation within YA, if that's something you'd be interested in. This one's horror/thriller, so.. yeah. Maybe sometime in the future. Otilia works at a daycare when a child disappears. Seconds later, the child reappears, like nothing had happened. She thinks she's worked too much, but when disappearences start to happen all around the globe, she and her boyfriend realize that something has gone really, really wrong. When they get an idea about what could be the cause, no matter how unbelievable, they will do everything in their power to get the information to the right people. This was my first-ever-novel and my first gamelit story (though I had no idea that was a thing/genre at the time). This novel contains a lot of violence and blood and can be uncomfortable to read for some people. There is also some violence from, and off-screen violence to, children.
