《Suffocate My love》Chapter 50

As the packs got reunited, they plotted day and night to break out of that place. After about twenty years of endless scheming, it was time to put the plan into action.
They didn't not succeed at the get-go because humans are had always been steps ahead of them and with Jeruv practising cultivation, they were yards ahead of wolves..
However wolves still had adaptability genes so they promptly learned from their mistakes and flaws and used them to better themselves. Of course Omegas were the ones who were the brains and Alphas were the muscles.
Anyway ten more years later, the wolves finally succeeded to break out of that place and they could not wait to run away .
The day they broke out, they all transformed and ran further and further away into the forest for many days, surviving on wild berries and rotten meat. They are wolves, yes but they are the kind of wolf that feed on human pneuma so meat is not a big must however some wolves enjoy the taste of meat so they did eat fresh meat from birds and snakes. Never did they eat larger animals.
Anyway they moved to an area so far away their scent was impossible to pick.
On average with the best transportation, a new carriage at full speed would have taken twenty days and nights to move from the island to where the wolves are, and thirty days to move from the border of humans to the island.
After humans found this out they prayed that wherever the wolves are, they better not come back because they vow to greet them with a steel blade to the neck.
As for other wolves they journeyed all across the horizon and they moved in the direction they assumed that the other wolves were.
By the time the others found the escapees, thirty wolves had already died but it was all due to the coldness of the journey here.
For the next four years, every three months new wolves kept arriving and they would settle there.
Eventually the wolf place expanded but away from the island and further and further away with the furthest place to reach taking fifty nine days and nights from the human border.
With that said, Adrian walked towards the forest.
His arm was no longer aching but was now throbbing so much he thought that anything nearby would most definitely hear it.
Adrian had come to this forest several times of course since this were he trains in secret. And no matter how many times he had come here he will never get used to the scariness of this place.
His fear is not of being alone but rather of not being alone in this place.
Obviously there is nothing that would lack in the perimeter of the wolf school . But that does little to help him come down so as of this point he is still feeling scared.
As he walked , he was beyond vigilante but his arm persisted to redirect his attention to its aching. He was now feeling like he had been battered savagely and that resulted in his flesh peeling off his arm. It hurt so bad that to think he would pass out due to the overload of such agony.
Be that the case ,he wanted so much to cuddle his arm so that it is shielded from the cold. Maybe the warmth would bring down the pain . However with what happened a few moments ago he is more more afraid of touching it . It's really a gamble of whether the warmth would or wouldn't help. But that risk is not one Adrian is willing to bet on.

He took one look to the water and the school before he proceeded further into the forest.
Being surrounded by humongous trees like this was feeding Adrian s paranoia but for an ambiguous reason he is not that incredibly afraid.
This unexplained bravery is not something new as sometimes when he comes here, to this forest, he feels less cowardice.
So at this point he was feeling like this and it was good because he really can not handle extreme fear and pain all at once.
As much as that is a confidence boost, he was not in any extent feeling the effect , if anything the pain was the one that was becoming even more bold to try and squash him
Anyway he continued to walk ahead.
Generally speaking, the forest looks like an average forest from afar so it's justified to be typically scary.
But in actuality, being in the forest is way worse than averagely assumable .
The darkness engulfs one like a blanket and the trees feel like walls that have eyes all over and are slowly moving closer and closer. When the wind blows, it sort of plays a tune with the thin branches and leaves on the ground. The melody propagated feels like the grim reaper s theme song. Truly petrifying!
And right now this is the song being played. Honestly Adrian does not know what is worse. The sound being loud or slow and chilling. Whether it's clapping of the branches and creaking of the trees or whistling of the wind whilst carrying leaves , both of them are scary to the max. How is one not supposed to get scared under these circumstances? How is one not supposed to feel vulnerable?
The sound and aura makes one feels like they are about to lose their life.
But be that the case, Adrian has a silver core , one that is a few levels away from almost being supreme silver core. Meaning that whatever must be creeping in on him with malicious intent must have a death wish
This unfortunately is only applicable if Adrian didn't have an energy block. So right now he is just like a huge injured snake with claws and no poison. Scary at a distance but harmless in reality.
Admist walking moderately in this forest, a loud screech echoed from one of the trees . Probably a bat or an owl. Whatever it was , it was definitely loud and paralysis
He responded by quickly turning to face that direction that he aggressively jerked his aching arm.
This resulted in a thesis of pain being published in his arm.
Adrian let out a tiny scream because he really must have injured himself. If he could explain the pain it somehow felt like he had reversed the direction of his blood ,twisted his bone and backflipped his muscle all at once ,in a nanosecond.
He could not think properly so he subconsciously pressed onto his aching arm so quickly that the only point that he realized his reaction was when it was already too late.
The abrupt contact of his skin to his aching arm was like adding kerosene to a raging fire across a foliage . His arm started to feel like it was really burning and if he looked it now he could see his veins distinctively and they seemed overfilled. His hand had turned paper white like he had dipped it in white powder. It felt like his bone was also soaked in acid and the acid was set on fire. And then the same thing composed the liquid in his veins and matter of his bone marrow..

His mind screamed at him to move his hand but he was not willing to contract any muscle in his body .
He parted his lips slowly and forced the air out of his body . His lips trembled more than the shaking of his hair strands that it seemed he was almost contracting pneumonia. But truthfully the pain was just confusing his homeostasis.
While still trembling his lids separated and they revealed his orbs to be a shade redder than normal, an obvious sign that he was literally on the brick of tears. It would be embarrassing if anyone saw him his streams but he currently doesn't care.
As much as he could try to be tough, his pain receptors were having a banquet in his arm. Because of this his conscious was starting to vote for amputation.
His face no longer looked anything like his usual self . It replicated a drying corpse which has been dragged by creatures of nature through various cruel terrains. His flying hair and sudden eyebags made him look like a scarecrow after electrocution. His lips were so dry it's like he has been sleeping under the blazing sun. As for his mouth it felt like he just ate sand. All of this complimented by hyperventilation.
The billions of cells in his body which had the confidence to protest despite the semi-disintegration of his arm, told him to kneel down and wait for the pain to die down. It seemed to work earlier so maybe that is the remedy.
As much as he genuinely agreed with that, waiting for the pain to go down is like counting to infinity.
So that being the case he turned around immediately and he walked ahead.
Unfortunately in spite of his red eyes being open, only a few things seemed to be processed via his optic nerve. He could partially see some interlocking tree roots and while everything else somehow seemed like they are in a windstorm.
Though he should be careful not to fall over by dizziness or lack of clear vision, he wanted nothing more than to reach that cave and relieve this awful pain in his arm.
Progressively he walked for over eight minutes and soon enough he saw a large towering structure in the middle of the forest. Without a moment to waste he proceeded toward that place
The said structure seemed like a mountain in composure but to be honest it was nothing of the sort as it is a cave.
There were trees haphazardly scattered around this cave and there seemed to be a clear path leading to the opening or entrance. This path was not fully developed on the ground but rather modeled by trees appearing to line the path s parallel walls, on both sides . So the result would be an entryway to towards the mouth of the cave.
As for Adrian, he was approaching from the eastern side of the tree walls of the path. The trees along a single side were equally spaced so he could see the path they were sculpting , even if he was blinded by his arm
He moved effortlessly through the tree wall and turned to face the mouth then went towards it
Naturally he would be petrified when he stood in front of a cave or was on such a path because of the darkness. More often than not he would debate with his mind that was telling him to just give up and go practice sword-fighting with Syin or go to the 'library' .But eventually the reasons he brought forth were much more concrete so he would wind up deciding to going inside the cave.
However today he was not in the mood for debate because his cowardice was at bay and in its place was the relentless pain that was motivating Adrian to move forward.
Of course one would be inclined to question why Adrian has not been using magic because his other arm is active and independent. Independent in the sence that he can output energy from it without activating the other hand.
That means if he so chooses , he can use either one or both arms . Each output is similar irregardless of whether one arm is used.
Even if they can act irrespective of each other the fact remains they are powered by the same core. Independent but not separate.
What this means is that once the core is activated , the energy will be moved to both arms . If Adrian s core increases its output both arms s output will be proportionally increased.
But right now since there is a blockage, the energy does not flow properly and instead accumulates in his arm. And since his energy core is super, his energy strength is similar. So it burns even more so it collects over time.
Anyway he walked, into the dark cave.
This cave already defies the laws of what caves should be like because it is made of two platforms. One flat and the other steep.
The flat one leads to the steep. And the steep descends to the lower part of the cave.
The other awesome thing is that the roof of this place is not that opaque. Light from the sky is capable illuminating this place up.
The greatest amount of light is only benefited at the end of the horizontal path .
These two features are very impressive to be honest and surprisingly enough all caves are exactly like this.
Their only difference is how long it takes to reach the 'zone of light 'as Adrian likes to call it. And this cave has some of the shortest time frames.
He only has to move for about ten more metres . The first seven meters are just horizontal ground then the rest are where he has to descended to the lower parts of the cave.
That being the case he carried on.
Within a few minutes he finally reached the zone.
He looked to the world beneath and as much as this scene is worth being complimented, he really can't think of nothing else besides the pain in his arm.
Adrian looked to his arm .
He can't say he is surprised though but what he saw was not pleasing at all.
The whiteness had rose way past his elbow and the veins on the back of his hand were about to explode. There was a band like ring on his wrist and it seemed very dark.
This sight made his condition worsen. He felt his stomach was starting to churn. He was feeling so nauseous but the thing that was attempting to rise up his esophagus felt like a cross between gravel and rust. Just thinking about it made him even more nauseous.
That being that, his condition made him really wish he could jump over the stairs but truth be told , the promise he made earlier one is far from being something he is yet to forget.
He reverted his gaze back to the area below and he saw the pedestal that he is supposed to sit on.
This pedestal is not exactly a pedestal but rather a tiny island with a slab of rock in the middle. There are two bridges reaching the rock from the left and another on the right .
The island is situated in the middle of the cave . And is directly exposed to the sky above. As a result the light of the moon shimmered over the water surrounding the island
The said water enters the cave as a means of a waterfall .That waterfall is just over five meters from where Adrian is currently standing.
So this place looks like something from a painting. The kind of painting where the creator is an adorer or admirer of all things nature. And in the things he created ,the symphony of grace and harmony is a priority
Anyway Adrian was not in any way uniform with the environment.
That being said he began to descended the rocks.
The said rocks were not in anyway slippery or over the top steep so going down them was pretty facile.
But for Adrian it's obviously not going to be smooth since he is against any motion of his body.
