He smiled softly almost forgetting that it was master and servant. He tied the strings and then turned around.He looked for something that he can cover Nayr with because he can't have the king being so exposed.He walked over to the folding curtain and he took a sleeping gown that was placed next to it in a cloth bin.

He beated the dirt off it even though none seemed to exist and he went and pulled it over Nayr s shoulders so that he can slip inside the overgarment

As he was dressing him, a voice resonated from behind the door

"Sir, sir. It is Youden, imperial guard, I request permission to enter"

They looked to each other and Orl went to the door to let Youden in

He stepped in the room followed by the two other guards.

"Sir, it is very good that you are fine" Youden remarked , saluting to the king .He spoke while bowed and the two other guards had followed in suite.

Youden raised as well as the other guards and just then they entered the room and stood near the bed

Before he could begin talking, Joln and three other wolves had already arrived by the door.

The motion of their steps were not a great attempt to maintain stealth since they were quickly noticed when they stepped by the door

As soon as that happened, Orl felt strange and he looked to the guards. The way they are so tensed up must mean they were surrounded by unwelcome visitor. And judging by their different attire, they could not be good news

The wolves looked calm but because he has an idea of what they are, he was nonetheless inclined to not feel easy in their presence.

Under such circumstances, the normal Orl would have stormed out of the room but he can't leave the king in the presence of these beasts. Although he won't win against them should they have a fight, one thing is for sure that he won't let them touch Nayr. Not as long as he is alive.

The two opposing forces looked at each other in very agressive manners.

"Sir , we were attacked as is obvious but we don't know what attacked us", Youden tried to thaw the ice

Nayr looked to the wolves and the wolf next to Joln snarled

The imperial guards immediately reached for their weapons.

"Don't be stupid ", Youden instructed the wolves

"What ?", questioned Joln. Is he threatening wolves?

Joln looked at Nayr and when their eyes met,a chill went down joln s spine.He managed to get his composure and relay his message

"Two of our men got injured in your ground.. " answered Joln

"So? That's not our fault", interrupted Orl getting angry at how Joln is looking at Nayr.

" Know where you stand", commented the wolf who was standing next to Joln.

"Sir, those things appeared at the same time as them.."Youden added

" What are you trying to say?", interrupted Joln

" Our weapon killed your attackers.We should corporate.."he added , trying to justify what Youden had said

"Corporate?"mocked the guard by Youden s side

"Those things attacked us too so they are both our enemies", the arrogant wolf explained with arms crossed

" Whose enemy exactly?" questioned the other imperial guard. He was sure that the wolves had only wrong intentions

" If anything they are our enemy and your competition", he added. He has more aweness of what's going on because he had witnessed the things attacking Valian and Navil.

" Maybe they are better because they also want wolves dead. You guys just feed on us" , this fueled Joln s anger .

"You useless twart.." Joln blocked the arrogant wolf that was about to end this human .Joln looked to the king and found the kinh already looking at them like he doesn't care what's going

Joln continued looking at the king who then looked away condensendingly

" .We think the same thing that attacked them is the same thing that attacked us last night", answered Youden

"It is "answered Joln

" Of course you know that. It's your doing ", remarked Youden

" What!!"The anger was reaching boiling point in Joln

" It's all your plan" reinforced the imperial guard

" Are you insane?", questioned Joln

"What do we benefit from this?", questioned one of the wolves

" We don't know or care. After all , being the sly creatures you're always wanting to bring demise to humans, you can stoop to any level", the guard next to Youden yelled

" Why would we want anything from you at the cost of own men?", barked Joln.His eyes had turned golden and they were transforming slits. That's never a good thing

" Because you are shameless.you brought those things to act like heroes so we could trust you. ", screamed another imperial guard.

Joln roared and one of the wolves blocked him

Joln is the most ferocious when angry and these humans must be prepared to become corpse at the rate they are firing up Joln.

Joln stormed out of the room and the other wolves followed him

They are definitely leaving this place.they have Syin s weapon and can defend themselves if anything happens.These ungrateful humans are sure to meet their doom

He paced away fuming all the way to the backyard to go and carry the injured soldiers but as he was on his way there Valian transmitted to him

"They have Syin and are in the back", Valian spoke softly but a hint of anger was very much evident in his voice

Joln Immediately increased his pace as he navigated his way to the back door. He ran all the way there and at the pace he was going, the other wolves were failing to keep up

He kicked open the doors and he stood by the top of the stairs

There was still a lot of smoke in the air as houses were still on fire.

He looked down and saw Valian and all the other wolves standing in the middle of a horseshoe ambush

He descended the stairs and his golden flaming eyes were so focused on Valian, that he didn't notice everyone else.

Valian turned around and he immediately saw that Joln was literally fired. His hair kept floating behind him while his eyebrows were arched with so much rage.

Seeing him going down the stairs so agitated made Valian s heart a little bit sore. Of course as his former friend he would hate to see him so upset but over the past few weeks, with Joln constantly having an emotional breakdown because of Syin s secrets, Valian has grew a little sensitivity towards Joln.Meaning that seeing Joln upset, angers Valian a lot more than it used to.Which, according to Valian, is the reason why it feels like his heart being pinned with a thousand needles.

He knows very well that Syin is constantly giving Joln a reason to be upset but the annoying fact that Joln keeps pouring his bleeding soul onto Valian complaining about Syin, that fact gives Valian another reason to hate Syin because Syin is indirectly making Valian lie to Joln as Syin forbade him to say anything. As a result ,the hurting that Joln is going through is partly Valian s fault.And if Joln is this hurt now, Valian would hate to see his reaction when he finally learns the truth.Because unlike Syin, Joln and his happiness mean a whole more to Valian than Valian s next breath..

Of course he would do anything to have to the chance to tell Joln that even though Syin treats him this way, he cares about him and doesn't want to see him getting hurt.But it's obvious that Joln doesn't care about Valian s words.All he thinks about is Syin. Valian doesn't blame him but why does it particularly hurt to think that all Joln thinks about is Syin despite Syin bringing him so much pain.

Joln reached the bottom of the stairs and as he walked over to Valian s side ,his combat clothes made him seem like he was going to kill something today and heavens have mercy, because that thing will most definitely not survive.

"They ambushed Mlya and took Syin",replied Navil.He was carrying Ryle who laid unconscious on his back. Joln looked at the sleeping boy and he blinked away.He probably didn't notice it but his eyes changed colour from golden slits back to golden orbs.Somehow seeing that Ryle wasn't abducted too had a calming effect.

Seeing Joln s slits transform is also a relief to Valian but seeing then transform when he looks a Ryle is not at all comforting.

He wanted to touch his forehead and wipe away the sweat that had formed there

" You are not solving anything. Bring back Syin", barked Mlya.

" Not until you give us Yevana", exclaimed Claus who appeared to be the leader of the fifty-six guards who surrounded the pack.

"Why would we take Yevana?",roared Joln with his golden eyes still burning.

"How should we understand the thinking of a mutt?", screamed one of the guards whilst directing his attention to Joln.

" Say it again", Valian whispered .
