“Oh, please, if I do mess something up. you can just put it back to normal.”
“Back to normal? BACK TO NORMAL!?!”
“That is unless you’re trying to hide your involvement with Mr. Flout’s death? Am I correct?”

“Yes, you can put your desk back to normal it’s not that hard really.”

“Sir, your… I… He’s been touching MY DESK I SPICIFFICLY SAID-”
“Deep breaths Andy, its all right, take the day off. I’ll have the janitor get it cleaned back up. Just the way you like it.”
”Yeah, yeah, cleaned up.”
“You must be holmes. I apologize for my employee.”
“Actually sir we should be the ones apologizing. We shouldn’t be messing with other people’s stuff.”
”Don’t be ridiculous, it’s his job. to assist people, and your job to look into things. Still, might I request not touching Mr. Mandez’s stuff? I’ll explain in detail in the office.”

“Gos- Holmes, don’t say that. I’m so sorry.”

“So you were working at your computor before the crime took place?”

This story is intended for adult audiences and contains explicit sexual content, profanity, and violence (including sexual violence, although not by the protagonist and not as a focus of the story). Chapters with such content will be clearly marked, and all explicit sexual content will be behind spoiler tags. I prefer my stories to have happy endings, and especially in these uncertain times, I feel that it is important to maintain hope. While this tale will reach some dark places, I promise to you that, when all is said and done, the villains will be justly punished and the heroes will prevail and prosper. This is a tale of four young goblin brothers, whose adventures and calamities are told as legends and jokes throughout the land. But they were first inspired by legends they heard, before ascending into one themselves; a reminder that simple beginnings can be the start of something great. Written for my D&D 5e party after they demanded I write an actual story about a children's book they found in one of our sessions, so I wrote it as it would appear in game as a childrens story. I took a very different approach on writing it, so do not be too disappointed when you find out it's not written at first grade reading level. Feedback is much appreciated, as I have never produced anything like this and I do hope I manage to entertain at least a few of you.
