Lamstrong draws back his bow and laughs, his palm getting used to its heat. Jon then immediately walks over to Heindrich Bolt, handing him a nearly two-foot spear. Hendrich takes it, his hand clenches in the center of the spear, the tip of it touching the ground. Jon tells him that the spear's name is Arthorius. He looks at it intently. On the surface it looks no different from ordinary spears, but he feels the energy smolder within it the moment he touches Arthorius. Without thinking much, he wants to experience its power immediately. Heindrich twirls Arthorius a few times in the air, then pitches straight down to the ground below. From the point where the spear lands, from below the ground erupts columns of lightning that shoot straight up into the sky, creating a fissure in the ground that stretches for nearly half a mile. Not stopping it, it also creates an electric pulse wave that surrounds it with a radius of more than twenty feet. The rest of them also notice the fur on their clothes and the hair standing up. The destructive power of Arthorius is truly terrifying. With this level of attack, Heindrich could easily wipe out a large army of Lapunta with just one hit.
Next is Adrian Septon. His weapon is a Tantorion rattan whip with the ability to lengthen itself. Andrian gripsTantorion's handle tightly, then swings wildly at the rock in front of him that is quite a distance away. The rope is initially only slightly longer than his height, but once the target is determined, Tantorion involuntarily stretches it out, then wraps it tightly around the rock. In the blink of an eye, Tanrorion's grip breaks the rock into a thousand pieces. A loud explosion shakes the whole land. When it is done, Tantorion just automatically returns to its normal size. With this weapon, Andrian can easily attack distant and key positions of the battle, taking the initiative in the upcoming battle.

Jon gives Tyron Levith a pair of jet-black fur gloves and calls it the Enthropysar. These gloves allow him to control oscillating waves. Tyron takes Enthropysar in both hands, then stands away from everyone. He concentrates, then thrusts his arms forward, an invisible wave of oscillations shattering the rock toward his face. Next, Tyron claps his palms together, a huge wave field spreading into space in front of him, all the hay on it was blown away, leaving only a dark brown wet ground.
Aris Maiden's weapon is a short Onoxisike dagger, about the length of his hand. At long range, Onoxisike has the same mechanism as Sagigandro's arrow. When launched at a target, Onoxisike will fragment into three daggers that can pass through multiple objects in a row, and return to their original position and merge into one. In close combat, Onoxisike can transform into a longsword. Besides, another ability of Onoxisike is to poison the target. The poison on the Onoxisike's blade can corrode the target's body. If unfortunately injured by it, in a short time if not treated in time, the whole body will be only a pile of disgusting slimy flesh.
Leila Sorine receives from Jon the Laxandorus necklace with a crimson gem embedded in the center. She puts Laxandorus around her neck, immediately feeling an abundance of strength. Jon tells her that Laxandorus allows its user to harness the power of the weather. Leila closes her eyes tightly, trying to listen to the flow of strength in her body, and at the same time feel the weather around her. Leila feels her body become unusually light, and an indescribable lightness rises up inside her. She does not realize her body has already been floating a meter above the ground. The sky is suddenly dark with clouds, thunder rumbling. Her body is surrounded by electric pulses and gas welding. Leila waves her hand toward a piece of land half a mile away. Immediately, from above, the fierce black cloud billows from the sky, a huge pillar of lightning slams down, making the whole ground there more desolate. Rocks and soil shoot up from the depths of the earth, and the lightning column leaves a deep black hole in the ground the size of four adult arms. Leila is back to her normal state, it seems that she is still "drunk" with that huge power so she feels a bit dizzy, but it is better than ever.

Viridescent Core
Some mortals see dungeons as a plague to destroy. Some mortals see dungeons as a resource to manage and harvest. Some mortals see dungeons as a place to train and advance. However, all of them agree on something. Dungeons are unnatural and deadly. Places where death stalks every corner and monsters thrive. What mortals forget, in their hubris of tools and civilizations, is that Mother Nature is often the deadliest of all. Feel free to write any comment, suggestion, or criticism. I read and appreciate every single one! Releases are on Mondays and Thursdays. With occasional bonus chapters on Saturdays. Have a nice day ^^

Sleeping Through the Apocalypse
Our 'valiant hero' Mark just finished a 72-hour VRMMO marathon and passed out as soon as he reached his goal. His rest is disturbed by patch notes, but he sleeps as the world he knows ends, and a terrifying game begins. Join Mark as he discovers the wonders and horrors of the new world that awaits him. This is 'realistic' and chaotic. There is cursing and gore. I do my best to imagine how a person would actually handle the apocalypse, and the answer is "not well."

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
