《Enigma Of The Void》Void Maker and Shocking Discoveries!

Zin was surprised at the sharpness of the daggers when he used them to cut a scattered tree branch beside him. 'Wow! My aetheric weapon is this strong!' Zin was filled with happiness and forgotten all about the pain as he continue to test it on other objects.
Zin suddenly stopped and stared at the two daggers. He had been too excited at the sharpness of the dagger and forgot all about other spots. On the handle of both daggers, there was a black core implanted. "Black sharp edge, with purple stroke, and a black core on the handle. How about I name you Void Maker then?" Zin was surprised when the aura cloaked around him actually had a sudden movement.
"Seems like, you like it. Alright, from now you are called Void Maker!"
Zin went over to a tree to rest before going back home. If he went home right now in his current state, Erza would definitely never let him go alone again. Zin soon falls into a deep slumber as his rest body against the tree.

"Reynold! Have you sensed him yet?!"
Erza is currently in a frenzy after seeing the phenomenon and the explosive force from it. Even though they lived in a remote house they seemed to know a lot.
"No, I can't pick up any senses from him, it's either he's really far away or there's something blocking my sense."
"The second reason seems too unrealistic, Zin is just a four-year-old child, how can he get his hand on something like that."
"Erza, the day that we decided to raise him, we already knew he wasn't ordinary."
When Reynold and Erza took him in they pondered a bit before ultimately agreeing to raise him. So what if they lived in a remote place? What's wrong with them living away from everyone else? Even if there's nothing much for Zin to see, they would always be there for him.
"So? He's the child I raised, I refused to give up."
Erza had always been a stubborn lady, and as she came to a conclusion she flew away without even looking back at Reynold. If Zin saw this he would've been flabbergasted at the sight of his mother using magic. To his knowledge, Reynold and Erza was just normal citizen that wants to live a peaceful life.
Sigh...
Reynold watches Erza fly away with her red hair fluttering from the wind. He seems to be very calm about the fact that Zin had disappeared. In fact, he showed no weariness at all. Unbeknownst to Erza, Reynold had long placed a mark on Zin. With this mark, he can always detect him as long as he's still in the Human domain.
"Sorry for worrying you Erza, but if I tell you this, you would've hated me forever." The process to implant a mark on someone was an extremely dangerous process. The mark can also only be used once. After making sure Erza had left the area, Reynold vanished and appeared in front of a tree.

"Seems like he had actually got his hand on an item that blocks out every sense from the outside." The tree was precisely the one that Zin was resting on. He was still asleep as Reynold scooped him up, and went toward their home.
The moment he opened the door, Erza was already seated at the table waiting for him. She merely looked at him for a few sec with her dark blue eyes, before walking over to him. Erza scooped Zin out of Reynold's arm and brought him to his bed. Reynold was still standing there watching her as she kissed Zin good night.
"Since when did you realize?"
"I watched the entire process."
"The entire process? Why didn't you stop me"
"Because I trust you."
'Because I trust you.' These four-word had left Reynold speechless. 'So she knew the entire time, but acted like she didn't...' He smiled at the faith his wife had placed on him.
Sigh...
"I really can't hide anything from you." Reynold blurted out helplessly. Erza has always been by his side, so she knew him better than anyone else.
"En. So don't try again. I'll forgive you this time since you had no ill will." Erza responded confidently at the sight of the helpless Reynold. The reason why Erza didn't stop him when he implanted a mark on Zin was, that she had full trust in Reynold that he would succeed.
"Since you already know everything, I've to tell you something about Zin as well." Reynold's face turned serious as he stare at Erza. The tension slowly started to build up as Reynold started explaining.
"First about the phenomenon, it was most likely triggered by Zin. Luckily, his aetheric weapon was actually blocking all senses so no one found him." Erza clutched both her hand at this, since she knew the old peaceful life was gone after today. Reynold waited for her to calm down, before telling her about his discovery about Zin.
"After, finishing the process and placing a mark on him, I also took some of his blood as samples. I went over to Marve and let him inspect the blood." Erza was stunned at this information because Marve was someone that they had never contacted again after leaving.
"As you know that he's a fanatic for knowledge, he took my request instantly and started studying the blood. Till now, he hasn't gotten much information, but he ensured me about one thing."
The next three words left Ezra dumbfounded. She went over to Zin's bed and caress his hair as he was sleeping. This discovery had struck her, but she quickly recomposed herself as she watch her cute asleep son. She thought about the three words the whole night by Zin's side.

'Zin isn't Human.'
***
Reynold had long left the house after seeing Erza went to check on Zin's condition. He quickly arrived in front of a laboratory in Ismarouth. He quickly opened the door and see a man in his 30s going around with many bottles in his hand.
"Hey, Marve! Can't you at least greet your old friend? I haven't seen you in 3 years since that day."
"Humph! You dare say that? You gave me such precious blood for me to research but only gave me a tiny amount. Do you know how much I struggle with this tiny bit of blood?" Marve grumbled as he walked toward another station, where he was keeping many types of eggs.
Marve has black hair and dark brown eyes, he couldn't be described as handsome, since he never really cared much about changing his appearance. To Marve, his research was far more important than anything else.
Sigh...
"This fanatic... Hey! What if I tell you I got more of that blood?" Hearing this Marve's ears perked up and ran straight over to Reynold. "GIVE ME IT!" Marve had already lost his composure when he heard this, because Zin's blood was by far, the most mysterious thing he had researched in his entire life.
"Hey Reynold, where did you get your hand on these blood?" Even if Marve was a fanatic, he wasn't completely mindless. Reynold was caught surprised at this question since he never told him about Zin. 'No, if I tell him about Zin, he would definitely use him as a test subject. Reynold shuddered at the thought of this, he was once Marve's lab rat, and all he could say was that it wasn't pleasured experience at all.
"Ehm... I found it on the border of the Human domain." Reynold lied through his teeth, he had gotten this from Zin's bleeding arm. Reynold knew that he had to keep his composure to avoid any suspicion from Marve. He was starting to sweat till Marve turned around and left.
"Hmm, doesn't seem like your lying since your too weak to get your hand on this type of blood." Marve blurted out without any remorse for him. He was an honest and straightforward person, so he never cared about saying what's in his mind.
"So, have you made any more discoveries from the blood?"
"Do you really think it's that easy with the amount you gave me last time? Humph! You're lucky it's me that researching it." Reynold was filled with curiosity at this remark. He quickly went over to the lab where the blood was being kept.
"Other than knowing the blood isn't from a human I also made another discovery." Marve said with excitement and pride about his progress. "I have tested and tried to mix this blood with others. Each time I did it, guess the result." Marve grinned, as Reynold was growing impatient urging Marve to get straight to the point.
"Tch. You're no fun at all, I've worked on this for so long, at least try to do that much." Marve first received the blood from Reynold three years ago. During these three years, Marve had always been keeping track of the sample and performed several experiments.
"Alright, since you're in such a hurry I'll show you my progress." Marve opened up a tab that was recorded with many test results. The tab being recorded was when Marve tried to mix Zin's blood with other races. Reynold starts to stutter as he stares at the data. "H-how?! I-isn't this too outrageous?!"
"Yes, every time I tried to mix the blood with another race's, the one you gave me was always on the dominant side. With this data, I could say that this blood is on the level of the Mythical race or even higher."
Seeing Reynold's reaction was normal to Marve since he too was like this when he found out. "Hahaha, since you've gotten me more of this blood I'll thoroughly discover all the secret laid in this blood." Marve took the blood sample from Reynold and started to experiment ignoring his existence.
Reynold was already used to how Marve acted when he gets his hand on mysterious things. 'Seems like Zin's origin isn't ordinary at all.' He recomposed himself before leaving the laboratory. 'I'll have to discuss with Erza about Zin's future.' He left Ismarouth and headed toward a small inn in a remote village, before going back home.
Reynold went into the inn and seated at a table with another mysterious person in front of him. "Any movement from the other families?" Reynold was talking to a with a dark leather cloak on.
"No, they're still wary of your existence and won't be moving yet."
"Good, keep tailing them and inform me about all their actions." The cloaked man nodded and left in an instant. No one was bothered at this sight, and since this inn had a powerful unknown background, no one wanted to cause unnecessary trouble.
'I'll have to resolve this problem soon...' Reynold's resolve was strengthened after realizing time is running out.

Yet Another RimWorld (Dropped)
*Fanfiction based on the game RimWorld*A more realistic take of RimWorld, where we follow the pawns that must struggle to survive in yet another Rimworld. Their stories, guided by a particularly playful narrator, will tell the tales of survival, defeat, gains, losses, triumph, and ultimately ruin. Trials faced by people, in places of various circumstances, will be observed and presented to its audience. What will be presented here are insignificant snippets of history, merely few of the innumerable tales and prospects to be found across this wide galaxy; The things we discover from these pawns, so many yet so few. Ultimately, they are just more drama meant for enjoyment, albeit in a twisted way. A/N:This is a fanfiction, based on the game "RimWorld". Using my personal gameplays as a basis for this fanfiction, in addition to some embellishments here and there. Unlike the silly antics that caused grave consequences if you had ever played RimWorld, my rendition will (hopefully) stay more grounded to reality, whereby no one will go beserk and dig up corpses if they can't eat on a table for 3 days in a row. That's all I need to say, you get the point. I'm writing this for fun. So please expect me to be inconsistent. Lastly, I am incredibly grateful to Tynan Sylvester for the game he created, "RimWorld", which is loved by many across the world and it will always remain a special place in my heart. For without his game, my work would not exist.

The Dreamside Road
Five years after the world fell into chaos, a treasure of artifacts is up for grabs. The relics of the Dreamside Road offer a power that could help rebuild or annihilate what remains. Orson Gregory is an adventurer for hire, but hunts this treasure for answers, not glory. Enoa Cloud’s late aunt helped hide the Dreamside Road, but following in her aunt’s supernatural tradition offers her as much peril as power. Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
