Being a personal guard to the king of the northern gods isn't as much of an honor as it may looks to most people, even less so if you are a woman.

Before I continue with my current situation, lets first go over some important matter concerning the world in which I live.

Firstly, there is one gigantic main-plain, Estelforth. Connected to it are many smaller but still big dimensions in which the gods and most of the divine beings live.

The beings in this universe can be categorized in to six different tiers.

Mortal, beings that follow the laws of nature.

Magical, beings that have access to an energy called Mana or Magical Energy which allows them to manipulate the laws of nature and bend them to their will, but careful, everything that goes against the natural laws will drain magical energy.

Mystical, beings that have reached the peak of their specialization and are able to draw upon the mana of the world around them.

Demigods/Half-Divine, beings are able to tap into an even more abstract energy, Divine Energy, which allows them to manipulate, create and or destroy things that escape the coffins of the law of nature, like the soul or conceptual things like war.

Divine/Lower Gods, beings that succeeded in reforging their body and soul with the help divine energy, allowing them to master or expand their respective divinity.

Gods/Deities, beings which were able to grasp the corresponding authority to their divinity. The biggest different between an authority and divinity is that without an authority, each use of ones divinity will cost the respective amount of divine energy to execute, while if one has the authority, one no longer has to use one's own divine energy except when one meets with another god who possesses the same or a similar authority.

Good, now back to me.

My name is El Vali Courtas, but most just call me Vali. I was born in Quartas, one of many dimensions connected to Estelforth and ruled by a pantheon of gods and divine beings.

They live in a city called Argenta

The pantheon consists out of seven main gods, fourteen lesser gods and a whole bunch of demigods and divine beings. This concentration of high-level beings inside an enclosed dimension has the side effect that all creatures inside are born with magic.

Inside Quartas, there are many smaller villages and even some cities populated by mystical beings
