My eyes that would let anyone who directly look into them freeze up in horror are now focused on this small bundle of ragged clothes.
Inside this ragged cloth I see a small human child, it has short black hair with a golden streak.
The little thing looks at me in childish wonder as it reaches out with it small squishy hand trying to touch my rust red fur.
I ignore the outstretched arm of the child as I was captured by these mysterious golden eyes that look at me without any fear or hate.
Finally, I freed myself from my trance and reach out to the little bundle of clothes with one of my four front paws and lift it up to my bone covered snout.
Still fearless like the most seasoned and experienced warriors that I have ever meet, the little child observes me and touches my cold bone that covers the entirety of my head.
The touch of the little thing was strange.
My normally always cold snout got suddenly assaulted by a pleasant warmth radiating from the spot where the child touched it.

On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. So... It has come to my knowledge that I need a proper synopsis to post/save this so here goes a thing: Someone dies, and what comes after seems to be like one of those myths of old where you are brought to the afterlife, except, this particular soul's afterlife doesn't seem like it will be comfortable, will it? WARNING: I am only writing this because I want to see how long I can keep writing from here and I am only posting it in RR because I like the display.
