《Fallen Moon》Chapter 17: Premonition

Gray storm clouds began to gather and fill the sky. Sounds of thunder echoed in her ear. The heavy rain poured down, as lightning flashed through the sky. She could hear loud footsteps in the mud. There was another flash of lightning and she saw a blue banner of a large angry wolf head, its fangs were bared and its ears were drawn back. She was standing in the crowd afraid of what's to come. Time was up, the final clash of the war was about to begin. Raven was marching with the wolves by her sister. Both of them were afraid, this was it, the end of the war.
"This is it brother," Jayson draped his arm on Jay's shoulder. His ash blond hair was soaking wet from the rain. "We've been training our whole lives for this. Now we can finally kill the vampire who murdered our parents. Got the plan ready?"
"It's all right here," Jay pointed at his forehead. "I don't care what we have to do or how many times we have to try. That vampire will pay for everything he's done to us. Even if it kills me." He smirked. "I'll just have to take the bastard with me."
"Great, it just had to be raining." Alexis complained. She had her hand over her head as a futile attempt to prevent herself from getting wet. "This isn't going to work in our favor," Her red hair with orange highlights was already drenched in water. "My abilities are so much weaker in the rain. What part of fire and water don't mix, don't you guys get?" She groaned. " Whatever," She rolled her eyes. "I'll just have to endure it."
"Medic," Lycan called out. Claire walked over to his side. "You have provided everyone with a vial of the anti sun repellant, correct?" She nodded. "You also distributed the pack, a vial of your blood to act as a fast acting healing agent, correct?" She nodded again. "Did You give them a vial of holy water as well?" She nodded once more. "I want no mistakes, the vampires die tonight."
"Yes, Leader Lycan," Claire answered. "I've done everything as you asked. I even took the liberty of mixing the anti sun repellent into holy water. So not only does it negate their immunity to sunlight but it cancels out their abilities as well." She explained. "Everything should go as exactly as we planned. We are more than prepared for this. Though," She rubbed her chin. "There will still be casualties." She stated as fact. "But at this point, I guess that's unavoidable."
"Yes but the victory will be well worth it." Lycan replied. "Isn't that right brother?" He glanced over at Alejandro. He was walking beside Lycan, he had a blank expression on his face aside from a slight smirk. "I bet you can't wait to fight Scythe again, this time he won't be so lucky. It'll be the rematch you've both been dreaming of. As for me," He smirked. "I've got a date with a Prince."
"Angel," Raven stood there but as she did. She saw herself pass through her. She was walking beside Claire. She was wearing black tank top and jeans. That necklace, she gasped. It was a platinum chain with a ring attached to it. It was of enraged wolf head with tiny sapphire eyes. The exact same necklace Angel always wore. How'd she end up with it? She was clinching on it tightly as she walked beside NightShade with a horde of werewolves marching ahead of them.

A flash of lighting struck in the sky, as the rain grew heavier. There in the distance, an army of vampires were dressed in armor hoisting silver weapons. In the back, she could see a red banner of a huge bat with its fangs out hoisted into the sky. In the very front of the army was Lord Alexander himself. His entire body was shielded by diamond armor. Several swords floating around him. The King himself was going to lead the attack. Brandon stood at the right of Lord Alexander and her brother Ziek at the left. Toward the back, was Scythe, Selene, and Fate. Standing there in the far next to Blaire was Angel.
Lightning struck once more, thunder echoing in the sky as the two armies faced each other. Thunder cracked and with it, Lord Alexander snapped his fingers. The swords around him flew at the army of werewolves. The blades impaled the wolves, killing them instantly. Raven watched as Lord Alexander controlled twelve diamond swords cutting down their army. Lord Grimm threw his leather coat off and burst through the crowd eager to fight his brother.
Lord Grimm let out a fearsome howl that shattered all of Lord Alexander's swords into dust. The intense sound had all the vampires grabbing their bleeding ears. Once unleashed, the entire army of werewolves rushed forward taking full advantage of the opening that was presented to them.
"This ends now," Lord Grimm's face started to change into that of a wolf. Black fur quickly covered his body. His claws grew in length as his muscle grew in size reaching twice the potential of a regular werewolf. He rushed in striking his brother with his claws tearing through his armor like paper. Gashes appeared on Lord Alexander's face and chest as Grimm showed him no mercy. He went to bite down on Alexander's neck. He caught his snout cloaking his fist in diamond, punching Grimm in the rib cage again and again until his ribs started to break. Grimm backed off.
"You were always so impatient, brother," Lord Alexander shot diamond spikes at him. Lord Grimm backhanded the spikes so hard they flew back at him striking him in the shoulder. Lord Alexander gripped his bleeding shoulder. Lord Grimm pounced on the king of the vampires mauling him with his claws. Diamond swords fell from the sky crashing down on Grimm, he jumped back dodging them with a back flip. Lord Alexander fired the swords at his brother, attacking him with twelve swords. All of which, Lord Grimm dodged and blocked getting closer to his brother.
"This won't end like last time," Lycan picked up a spear coated in holy water. He threw it at Lord Alexander's back. Ziek quickly jumped into the air and caught it. He threw the spear aside and Lycan bared his sharp canines at him. He unleashed his claws walking toward Ziek.
"Oh, no, I'm not going to fight you." Ziek laughed. "He is," Lightning flashed and thunder cracked as Angel was standing there beside Ziek. He wore a black leather trench coat and distressed jeans. He held a silver edged sword in his hand with the engraving of a King's crown on it. "Have fun, buddy," Ziek patted Angel on the shoulder. His pale hazel eyes were glaring deep into Lycan's as lightning flashed once more.
"Well this is convenient," Lycan grinned. "Instead of me having to find you. You took the liberty of finding me yourself. Though," He hitched a laugh. "This changes nothing, you're still a Would Be Prince."

"It's better to be a Would Be Prince than a Spoiled one." Angel jumped into the air and kicked Lycan back. Lycan's claws skid across the ground after being pushed back. He growled and his face started to change into a fearsome wolf. "That's okay, go wolf, I got something for you." He threw his sword at Lycan. Lycan entered his wolf form. He grabbed the sword in mid air and began swinging it at Angel. When he did, his whole body was covered in a curse that forced him out of his wolf form. "Don't touch a sword that doesn't belong to you." He punched Lycan in the face striking him so hard he broke his nose. Angel jumped on top of Lycan punching him over and over again in the face.
"I got something for you too," Lycan jammed a syringe in Angel's neck. He injected him with holy water. This stopped him from using his curses on Lycan. It also had a burning effect as it entered his body. As a result,Angel let out a loud scream. He slowly backed up grabbing the side of his neck.
"That's the thing about you vampires," Lycan smirked. He slashed Angel across the chest with his claws leaving four deep gashes. "You're nothing without your abilities." He grabbed Angel's throat lifting him into the air. He threw Angel down his back slamming into the mud. He pinned Angel down by his throat. "Time to die, vampire Prince." He went to inject his claws into Angel's throat and rip it out but. Angel wrapped his legs around Lycan's arm catching him in arm bar and he twisted his arm to the point it was starting to break. Lycan jerked his arm free, when he did, Angel tackled him and pulled out a silver edged knife.
"I'm not the one who's going to die," Angel slit Lycan's throat with the knife but the edge went dull before it cut him. "What the?" Lycan kicked Angel, knocking him on his ass. While Angel was trying to get back on his feet, his jeans and hands became caked in mud. Lycan placed his hand on top of Angel's head and he pulled at his long wet hair.
"I guess they never told you." Lycan tugged Angel's hair. "My skin is highly resistant to silver. So," He shoved Angel's face in the mud. "It's going to take more than a knife to cut through my skin." He grabbed Angel by his leather trench coat and lifted him into the air with one arm. He then threw him to the ground like a rag doll. He rolled across the mud only to be kicked in the ribs by Lycan before he could get up. "I honestly expected you to put up a better fight. But I guess you truly are nothing without those abilities of ours."
"You're wrong," Angel performed a handspring and got back on his feet. "I don't need my abilities to kill you." He quickly threw off his coat using it like a cape to blind Lycan. He struck Lycan with a kick while he fought with the coat trying to get it off his face. Once it was off, Angel punched Lycan in the stomach and struck him with a headbutt to his broken nose. He struck Lycan with a fast leg sweep, tripping him. "You know why," Angel laughed. "Because," He paused. "Anger works just fine." He yelled.
While Lycan was on the ground, Angel placed his knees on Lycan's shoulders holding him down. He then started punching him in the face relentlessly. Lycan's blood was all over his fist as he hit him again and again. Lycan tried to reach out and grab Angel's face but. He caught his hand and slammed back down and punched him in the face again.
"You're such a," Angel punched him again. "Piece," He struck him again. This time Lycan spit up a few teeth. "Of," He punched Lycan once more and got up. "Shit," He drew his leg back and kicked Lycan in the ribs. He kicked him so hard. Raven was sure he cracked a few of Lycan's ribs. Lycan began crawling on the floor trying to get back on his feet. He climbed on Lycan's back and slammed his face into the ground and rubbed his face into the muddy surface.
"Is that all you got,." Lycan entered his werewolf state while Angel was still on his back. He rolled over freeing himself of Angel. Once Angel stood up, Lycan struck him with a powerful backhand that sent him flying into a far away forest.
Raven glanced back over to Lord Grimm and Lord Alexander's fight. The two of them were exchanging blows left and right. Lord Alexander had claw marks down his body. Lord Grimm had gashes on his but neither one was backing down. Brandon jumped in and went to punch Lord Grimm while he was distracted by his brother. Lord Grimm turned to him and laughed, Brandon backed up.
"Oh, boys," Lord Grimm called out. "He's all yours." Jay and Jayson both jumped at Brandon striking at him relentlessly. They weren't giving Brandon a chance to defend himself. Jayson punched Brandon so hard. His diamond armor flew off breaking all over the place. The impact was so great, Jayson had badly bruised his own arm. Luckily, Jayson's ability to control his adrenaline made it so his body wouldn't be able to feel the damage.
"Jay, it's all you," Jayson threw his brother using his other arm. As Jay was in the air flying toward Brandon like he was shot out of a cannon. Jay's entire body began to spin in mid air like a drill. Shards of Brandon's armor got caught in the drill as he spun. Seconds before Jay hit him, he stopped and pulled back. The shards flew at Brandon so fast, it struck him like missiles. Lord Alexander quickly controlled the shards keeping them from killing Brandon. Though, as a result, he let his guard down. Lord Grimm injected him with holy water in the neck causing him to lose his control over diamond.
"You should have let him die," Lord Grimm picked Lord Alexander up by his throat. Before he could snap his neck. A large lighting bolt hit him in the back. The impact was great enough to make him drop his brother.
"Get your filthy hands off my king." Scythe glared at Lord Grimm. He pulled out his Katana. The blade broke, turning into a large dragon made of silver. It let out a loud screech, the werewolves all covered their ears being unable to move. "Now, die," The large steel dragon charged at Lord Grimm. He smirked, tightening his hand into a fist.
"You should have saved that for Alejandro, now you're fucked." Lord Grimm punched the dragon, hitting it with so much force. The needles fired back at Scythe hitting him with his own attack. While he was being pelted by needles. Alejandro jumped at Scythe and slashed him with his claws across the face.
"I got you Scythe," Ziek grabbed Alejandro's arm and threw him over his shoulder before he could attack Scythe. Alejandro quickly rolled to his feet being covered in mud. Scythe and Ziek both walked toward Alejandro. Once Alejandro realized it was two on one, he smirked and ran into the forest. "Get back here, you coward." He chased after Alejandro.
"Ziek, I wouldn't," Scythe let out a deep sigh. "I'd best go after him even though I know it's a trap. Once again, I'm going to find myself face to face with a Giant Werewolf. I barely survived it the first time. Now, here I go doing it again." He walked into the forest following behind Ziek. "Brilliant, Scythe, brilliant." He spoke, his words were full of sarcasm. "You couldn't just let Ziek die due to his own stupidity. No, you got to be the hero. Sometimes, I wish, I could just let people die when they make stupid decisions. But no, I'm Scythe, I have to save them."
Brandon started laughing as the twins glared at him. He lowered his arms as the diamond shards fell to the floor. "Now, I remember," He grinned as Jayson growled at him. "You're that helpless little boy whose parents I killed."
"Well," Jayson glared at Brandon. "I'm not so helpless anymore," He charged at him, boosting his adrenaline. Brandon cloaked his body in armor and blocked his attacks. Each time he blocked, his armor was cracking. Jay came out of the ground and slashed Brandon with his claws cutting pieces of his armor off. Jayson grabbed Jay's arm and threw him at Brandon. Jay climbed on Brandon's shoulders taking out a flask of Claire's acidic blood.
"That armor won't save you from this," Jay kept trying to make Brandon drink it. "Drink up vampire, you like blood, don't you? Drink it you sorry piece of-," While Brandon kept trying to force the flask away from his mouth. Jayson struck Brandon with a shoulder tackle sending him tumbling back. Jay went tumbling with him. He picked the glass vial up and kept trying to force it down Brandon's throat.
"Get that shit away from me," Brandon grabbed Jay and rolled over on top of him. Before he could punch him, Jayson wrapped his arms around his stomach and picked Brandon up, armor cloaked skin and all. Once he had Brandon, he slammed him down head first. Brandon's armor protected him from the damage but he was left laying face first on the ground.
"When my brother says drink something," Jayson grabbed a handful of Brandon's hair. "You fucking drink it." He slammed Brandon's face into the ground, smothering it in mud. "Now open up," He got on Brandon's upper back trying to force his jaw open.
"Hold him still," Jay poured the vial of Claire's acidic blood into a mouth syringe he kept in his pocket. He threw the empty vial down and walked over to Brandon while he kept struggling to get free. Every time he tried, Jayson would slam his face into the mud and rub it against the ground then go back to holding his mouth open. "This is for our parents, drink up you son of a bitch." He squirted it into Brandon's mouth before Jayson could make him swallow it. He spit it up in Jay's face.
"Get the hell off me," Brandon forced himself up by doing a push up while Jayson was on his back. Jayson jumped off his back as he got back on his feet. "That's it," He spit up blood as Claire's blood continued to burn the inside of his mouth. "I'm going to kill both of you. Starting with you." He grabbed Jay by the throat with both hands trying to choke him out. Jayson kept hitting Brandon trying to make him let go but he wouldn't. "That's the thing about you werewolves, you need to breathe in order to live. Hard to do that when I'm choking you out like the little bitch you are."
"I-I'm not the bitch," Jay forced out. "You are," Jayson turned into his werewolf form. He now stood taller than Brandon. His face changed into that of an angry wolf. His adrenaline was now flowing to abnormally high levels. Brandon saw Jayson's reflection in Jay's eyes. He quickly put Jay in the way as both of them were hit by a powerful backhand. Jay's body rolled through the mud as well as Brandon's. Brandon slowly stood back on his feet. He had used Jay as a human shield protecting him from Jayson's attack. But, he had received enough damage to where there were cracks all over his diamond armor.
"You might want to check on your brother," Brandon smirked. "I think he's dead." He laughed at Jayson. Jayson charged at him moving so fast. He left shock waves from his speed alone. He hit Brandon with a shoulder tackle that shattered the rest of his armor. He tried to slash him with claws but Brandon caught his wrist holding it still. "Man, I do love fighting twins," Jayson tried to slash him with the claws on his other hand. Brandon caught his other wrist holding it still as well. "It's so much fun using the weaker one as a human shield." He struck Jayson's snout with a headbutt making his nose bleed.
"I guess that just leaves you," Brandon kept blocking Jayson's attacks, getting gashes on his arms. Jayson jumped up and kicked him with a kangaroo kick to the chest knocking him back. "I've never seen a werewolf do that before." Jayson tried to bite down Brandon's neck but he held jaw muscles keeping them open. "Now you die," Brandon tried to snap Jayson's neck. Before he could, he was hit in the back with razor sharp claws. "Who the-," Brandon turned around getting a look at the person who attacked him. "You."
Jay stood in front of him in his werewolf form. Claire was standing next to where his body used to be. She had a bandage over her forearm where she let Jay drink her blood to heal himself. His golden fur was cloaked in mud blending into the environment around him. His razor sharp claws dripped with Brandon's blood. His wolf nose crinkled as he growled at Brandon. His dark amber eyes glaring deep into Brandon's. Brandon turned around and Jayson was behind him. The two of them were in werewolf state and had him cornered.
"Oh, you guys," Brandon laughed. "It's not even my birthday." He bared his vampire teeth at both of them. The twins bared their sharp venomous canines at him glaring into Brandon's eyes. He charged at both the twins, they charged forward into him and their fight continued.
Raven's focus broke from the fight when. A long streak of lightning came down from the sky. Her navy blue eyes followed it as a powerful lightning bolt struck Lord Grimm in the back. It had dealt just enough damage to get Lord Grimm's attention. Still, Raven was curious as to where that attack came from?
"Forgetting someone," Blaire stepped forward. She held a metal sword. It had the engraving of a sword with a lightning bolt etched onto it. Lightning radiated off the blade, she flicked the blade. Another lighting bolt fired down from the sky hitting Lord Grimm once more. "Like I'd let you kill my father," She flicked her blade again, another bolt struck him. It didn't look like her attacks were doing much damage to Grimm. It was only slowing him down.
However, the moment Raven saw her and realized there was nothing stopping her from killing Blaire. Anger started to burn in her eyes, flashes of Angel and Blaire together burned into her mind. All the pain she caused him, all the torment, she could finally put an end to all of it by ending her life. She can't hurt Angel anymore if she's dead.
Raven went to run at her but realized. She was in another vision. She couldn't touch her, she couldn't touch anything. But, she glanced over seeing the other version of herself, the one that existed, the one that could kill Blaire. She was already in motion charging full force at Blaire eager to end her life once and for all.
"I would fight you dear," Lord Grimm smirked at Blaire. "But seeing as the two princes are fighting each other. I figure," He shrugged. "Why not let the two princesses fight it out. I'm sure Raven is looking for some payback for what you tried to do to her during the wedding anyway. Go ahead Raven, have some fun."
"Oh, I plan to," Raven revealed her claws. "You're so dead." She jumped at Blaire trying to rip out her throat.
"Is that so," Blaire's blade radiated with electricity. She shot a bolt of lightning into the sky. It came down striking at Raven. She dodged the bolt only to be struck by several more. She kept evading them each time getting closer and closer to Blaire. She took out a second sword. This one had the engraving of a sword with the symbol for water on it. "You're not worth my time, wolf," She mixed the two elements together and slammed her swords down.
Raven's eyes widened as four dragons fired off Blaire's swords creating eight of them. Four of lighting and four of water. All eight of them swirled around each other creating one massive dragon that Blaire could control. She dodged as it kept trying to snap at her, one bite from it's fangs would produce enough of an electric shock. It'd kill her instantly especially with water mixed into it. Where was this at the wedding? Clearly, Blaire's been holding back. Raven dodged as it tried to bite her again.
"What's the matter, are you having a hard time?" Blaire smirked. Raven kept dodging the dragon. She began to notice cracks forming on both of Blaire's swords. She can't maintain it for long, she just had to outlast it. Raven gasped. The large dragon swirled around her, trapping her with it's serpent-like tail. "Begone, peasant," The dragon opened its mouth and began gathering up electricity in its throat. She couldn't dodge it, it's going to hit her point blank. That's unless Raven's eyes shifted to the ground. The dragon unleashed a huge thunderstorm out of it's mouth obliterating everything that was trapped by its tail. The large dragon disappeared and both of Blaire's swords broke.
"Well," Blaire smirked. "She didn't last long, though, it's to be expected." She threw the broken swords aside. "She's nothing more than a figure head." Raven appeared out of the ground in front of her. Her claws swiped Blaire's chest creating a huge gash.
"You were saying," Raven's body was covered in mud from all the digging. She burrowed underneath the dragon's tail and managed to dodge its attack. Blaire pulled out two more swords. One had the engraving of a sword with the fire symbol. The other had the engraving of a sword with the earth symbol. Before she could wield the two elements. Raven grabbed her wrists and kicked her in the stomach. Blaire coated her stomach in diamond blocking the attack. She then countered by striking Raven with a headbutt to the face.
Raven backed up grabbing her bleeding nose. Blaire swung her sword at her, she ducked it. She swung the other one, she dodged that one also. Right after dodging, Raven hit her with a leg sweep tripping her. While Blaire was falling she shoved her knee in Blaire's face breaking her nose. She grabbed Blaire by the throat with both hands and forced her down into the mud slamming her head against the ground. Blaire let go of her swords trying to pry herself free of Raven's grip. Raven held her down with one arm and lifted up her fist.
"This is for trying to kill me at the wedding," Raven smirked. Blaire's eyes widened as Raven started to punch her in the face until her knuckles were caked in her blood. Blaire kept kicking as Raven's fist pounded away at her. Blaire's put her hand on Raven's face trying to push her way. She pulled away and Blaire's hand grabbed hold of her necklace and ripped it off her neck. Blaire touched the earth sword and used it to create two mud dragons, they charged at Raven hitting her forcing her to get off Blaire.
"What's this," Blaire wiped the blood off her lip. She held up the necklace and recognized it immediately. It was Angel's necklace. It would be hard for Blaire not to notice it since it belonged to her husband. "Where'd you get this?" She held it in front of Raven.
"I got it from my boyfriend," Raven rose to her feet, she was still covered in mud after being hit by Blaire's mud dragons. "You should know him," She smirked. "He's your husband." Blaire's eyes began to fill with rage. She screamed at the top of her lungs throwing the necklace down. Four mud dragons came out of the ground all of them targeting Raven. She dodged them all, Blaire cut through one of them and tackled her holding a sword to her throat.
"He's mine," Blaire yelled. Raven picked up a rock and smacked Blaire on the side of the head with it. The impact was great enough to bust her head open. She kicked Blaire off her and forced her down into the mud. "You bitch, do you have any idea of who the fuck I am?" She cloaked her fist in diamond and punched Raven. Raven backed off grabbing her head as blood dripped out of it. "Angel, belongs to me," She punched Raven in the stomach with that same fist. "I locked him in a cage, I made him kill everything he loved, He didn't have the balls to kill his sister so I did that for him. I took everything from him, I made him my bitch, and you think I'm just going to hand that over to you." She grabbed a handful of Raven's hair. "No, I don't think so, he's mine and he will always be my bitch." She yelled these words in Raven's face. She spit in Raven's face and struck with a powerful backhand.
"Really, he's your bitch huh?" Raven wiped the blood from her lip and rose to her feet. "So tell me, why is it he actually wants to fuck me?" Blaire tried to punch her, she caught her arm and punched her in the ribs. She spun and kicked Blaire in the face knocking her to the floor. "Now that you know what you've done to him and have admitted it. I'm going to beat the holy fuck out of you. Angel will have his vengeance and I'm going to get it for him." She grabbed Blaire by the hair and dragged her across the mud.
"You're not getting shit," Blaire pulled out a hidden blade from her sleeve. She slashed Raven's leg and forced her to the ground. "I thought I killed everything Angel loved in that cage. My mistake, I must have missed one." She kept trying to force the silver edge to Raven's throat but she kept fighting with her. "No matter," Blaire smirked. "I will just correct it right now." Raven reached into her pocket taking out a vial of Claire's acidic blood.
"No," Raven took a deep breath. "You're just going to die," She slammed the glass vial on Blaire's face. The glass shattered on Blaire's face. The acid immediately ate away at her leaving constant burns. She kept trying to get off her face but the burns were too fatal. The glass shards were embedded in her face. While Blaire was immobilized by the acid. Raven picked up Blaire's sword and slowly walked over to her. "This is for Angel," She swung the sword and cut Blaire's head clean off.
"My daughter," Lord Alexander shifted his eyes over to Raven. He created a barrage of diamond swords. Before the blades could be fired off, Lord Grimm tackled his brother trying to bite down on his neck. "No, stop, I have to-, no," He cloaked his entire body in diamond armor. Lord Grimm kept tearing through the armor at his skin. "Blaire, no, I have to kill her, she must die for killing my daughter." Lord Grimm reverted back to his human from.
"Yes go for her then nothing will save you from me," Lord Grimm picked Alexander up and threw him down on his back. He began slashing at his brother with his claws tearing through his brother's diamond armor.
"Fine, then, I'll just," Lord Alexander closed his eyes. "Kill you all." He fired diamond spikes off his body. The spikes hit Grimm all over his chest. "Now die," He kept forcing the spikes deeper into Lord Grimm's body. "I'll rip you apart from the inside out." Lord Grimm tried to rip out the spikes as they went in deeper. He grabbed a vial of Claire's blood out his pocket and opened it. He gargled the blood and spit it in his brother's face. The acid ate at Lord Alexander's face forcing to release his control over the spikes.
"You always did let your emotions get the best of you." Lord Grimm began to heal as he swallowed the rest of blood that was in his mouth. In an instant, the cuts on his body started to shrink and disappear. The deep gashes were closing and he was now fully healed. "That's what makes you so weak." He injected Lord Alexander with more holy water, sealing away his ability to control diamonds once more. "And Look where that's got you, brother," He lifted his arms and spun around. Lord Alexander's eyes wandered the battlefield.
"No," Lord Alexander's eyes shot open. A giant werewolf emerged from the forest towering over the far away trees. The beast's tremendous height reached up into the mountains. It's eyes were blood red, it's fur black as coal, it's claws sharp enough to tear through forests. It's tail alone was knocking over trees. It's sharp canines were dripping with venom even it's drool acted as a deadly acid. It was quite clear that this one werewolf possessed the power to wipe out his entire army. So this is Alejandro's werewolf form, Raven never thought she'd live to see it. Now that she has, even she was afraid of it.
"It's too late brother," Lord Grimm laughed. "Pretty soon, the werewolves will claim dominance over the vampires and force them into extinction. No more blood suckers to stop us from making this world ours. Proving once and for all that we are the dominant beings and we deserve to rule the world." He struck Lord Alexander with a powerful backhand knocking him to the floor.
"Raven, help," That voice, Raven's eyes followed the call. It was Claire, she was in danger. Selene was over there with her trying to kill her. She kept trying to dodge Selene but she was just too fast for her. She had Claire backed into a corner and was choking the life out of her.
"I've got you, Claire," Alexis threw a fireball at Selene forcing her to let go. "You want to fight someone, fight me." She threw another fireball at Selene. She caught it and crushed it in her hand like it was nothing.
"If that's the best you've got," Selene smirked. "This won't last long." She charged at Alexis punching her over and over again. She stuck her in the gut knocking the wind out of her afterward she hit her in the back with her elbow knocking her down. Claire tried to stab with her knife, Selene caught her arm holding it still. "Drop it," She crushed Claire's hand making her release the knife. She spun and kicked Claire knocking her to the floor. Claire began crawling in the mud trying to get up. "Talk about pathetic, I'm barely even trying." She kicked Claire while she was down and started choking her with her foot.
"Let her go," Alexis hurled another fireball at her. Selene caught it and crushed it with one hand. She grabbed a vial of Claire's blood out of pocket and tried to pour it on Selene. She caught her arm and forced her to drop the vial. Once it was on the floor, Selene drew her head back and struck her with a headbutt. Alexis fell on top of the glass vial, breaking it.
"Come on," Selene laughed. "At least try to kill me." She pressed harder on Claire's throat. Claire kept kicking trying to get free but couldn't. She was seconds away from being choked to death and was starting to pass out. Alexis kept trying to get up but couldn't, she was struggling to get on her feet.
Raven watched as a sword flew past her. The silver blade flipping through the air from clear across the battlefield. That smell, she noticed it, immediately. The blade was covered in holy water. Selene turned around and when she did. The sword struck her right in the center of her chest, impaling her. The force of the throw forced her back and saved Claire's life. The marking on the blade, it was of a sword with the symbol of earth etched on it. Wait, isn't that Blaire's sword? She glanced over to the person that threw it.
"How's that?" That voice, Raven gasped. It was the other version of herself. She was the one that threw the sword. She couldn't believe that she nailed that and from so far away. It's no wonder, Selene didn't expect it. Selene clinched the blade handle trying to pull the sword out of her chest but it went all the way through her upper back. Selene was carefully pulling out the sword trying to avoid killing herself.
Claire clinched her throat and began trying to catch her breath. She rose to her feet after Selene threw the sword down. "Thanks for the save," She rushed over to her sister's side. Selene placed her hand on her bleeding chest as blood continued to come out. "I guess I forgot to tell you, don't mess with my sister. She's got a mean throwing arm."
"Holy water in the sword, brilliant." Selene fell on her ass. She kept trying to stop the bleeding by applying pressure. She started coughing up blood as her eyes drifted in and out. She was fighting to stay awake.
"Selene, no," The moment Raven heard his voice. Her heart sank realizing what just happened. She just killed her brother's girlfriend in front of him. She quickly turned to face him as tears streamed down his face. Ziek's heart was now broken in two and it's her fault. She killed his girlfriend. "How could you do this to me?" Ziek dropped to his knees as tears continued to stream down his face. "I loved her and you-, you-, you killed her." His hands started shaking. "I'll, I'll, I'll-," He let out a loud scream and ran toward Alejandro while he was still in his werewolf form.
"Ziek, no," Raven reached out to him. He couldn't fight Alejandro, not with his wolf form being that huge. He couldn't hurt it without getting killed first. It was typical of him to find the biggest person in the room and try to kill them as a way to deal with his anger. But in this case, It's Alejandro and it's not a good idea.
"Ziek, don't be a fool," Scythe tried to warn him. He had the giant wolf surrounded by dragons. Each of them were of a different element. He was trying to slowly wear Alejandro down until he could no longer maintain his wolf form. He was playing on defense having nothing that was powerful enough to kill Alejandro. Still Ziek didn't listen, he charged at the wolf jumping into the air hitting it with a fully progressed punch.
Before the attack could land. Alejandro swatted him out of the air with a backhand. The impact sent him flying through trees and ripping through the forest like the trees were nothing but weak paper. His body crashed into a tree branch being impaled through the chest and killed instantly. Raven fell to her knees covering her mouth.
"Curse you, Alejandro, you just don't know how to die do you?" Scythe kept striking him with dragon after dragon. The giant werewolf gargled his werewolf venom and spit it at Scythe. It ripped through the forest dissolving trees and ate away at the grass leaving a slippery venomous puddle on the ground. Scythe was barely able to dodge it. Some of the venom got on his forearm, lightly burning it. "Just when I thought you couldn't be any harder to kill. You learn new tricks. This wolf form of yours is irritating."
Alejandro walked forward trying to step on him. Scythe dodged once more only to be pushed back further by a shock wave. Scythe tumbled across the ground jamming his sword in it in order to keep his footing. The giant wolf let out a loud howl that shook the entire battlefield creating a massive earthquake. Vampires that were nearby were blown away by the sound alone. Werewolves however were immune to the effects. Instead it fueled their adrenaline allowing them to fight better and it became highly noticeable when.
Raven's eyes shifted to Jay and Jayson's fight with Brandon. The two of them were still in werewolf form moving twice as fast. Brandon's body had gashes all over it from their claws. He kept blocking them. He had no choice but to stay on defense. He skidded back after almost being bit by Jayson.
"What the hell was that?" Brandon's ears were bleeding from the sound. He looked around his eyes looking at Selene. She was sitting down, her eyes fading in and out. "Selene," He glanced over at Ziek who was now dead. "Ziek," He balled his hand into tight fists.
Brandon grabbed Jayson as he was trying to bite him. He snapped his neck and threw him down. Jay bit down on his shoulder infecting him with his werewolf venom. He purposely took the bite, grabbed Jay and trapped him in a bear hug crushing his spine. While he was holding him, he sunk his vampire teeth into his neck, infecting him with his venom.
The wolf whimpered in pain as his spine was broken in half by Brandon's strength. He dropped him to the floor now that Jay could no longer move. Once defeated, Jay reverted back to his human form. He was crying out in pain. Jayson was still alive. His neck was broken in several places but he was still able to breathe but unable to move.
"Jay," Alexis ran over to him. "You monster, how could you do this to him?" She growled at him. Brandon started walking toward Jayson hoping to finish him off. Jayson was using his adrenaline in order to force movement but he was moving slowly being reduced to crawling. "Jay, listen to me," She placed her hand on his cheek as he laid there in pain. "You're going to be alright," She pulled out an empty syringe. She was hoping to use it to suck the vampire venom out of his neck. "I'm going to save you okay?"
"Alexis," Jay grabbed her hand to stop her. "It's too late," He winced in pain. "He got me with his vampire venom. Even if you try to suck it out, there will always be some left in the bloodstream. You'll only spare me so I can die a week later." He explained. "I'm as good as dead and we both know it. But, Jayson still has a chance." His dark amber eyes began to fade in and out as he fought to stay alive. "You know," He held her hand. "Every good strategist has a Plan B." Jay smiled. "Check my pants pocket and you'll understand what I mean." His eyes began to slowly close. "I'm really tired so I'm going to take a nap now, okay?"
"No, Jay, you can't," Alexis began shaking his body. She was trying to hold back tears, trying to stay strong. "Jay, you have to wake up," She pressed her ear to his heart and started crying on his chest. "Jay, no, please, wake up, you can't die on me." She kept trying to resuscitate him but he was gone. "Plan B, what did you mean by Plan B? You've got to tell me what that means. Come on, Jay, wake up." She glanced up at Jay's jeans on the floor. She ran over and picked them up. She reached into back pocket taking out a note written in blue crayon.
The rain was drenching the paper making it hard to read. It was an illustration of several different strategies. All of them were ways to kill a certain vampire. There was a strategy where they applied holy water to the throat by mouth syringe. It was crossed out and changed to Claire's blood. There was a plan where they used the enemy's high defense against him and killed him with shards of his own armor. There was a plan, where one of them acted as a diversion while the other hid and attacked from behind afterward they'd rush him in werewolf form. She flipped it over and on the back was the finalized Plan B. It was written in pink crayon and it was the name "Alexis.". She's Plan B, he wanted her to finish him off.
"I got it," Alexis crushed the paper in her hand and threw it. Her body temperature began to rise until her whole body caught on fire. Her face changed to that of an enraged wolf, her eyes burning red as she turned into her werewolf form. Her fur was made completely out of flames, smoke came out of her wolf nose as fire gathered in her chest. She opened her mouth in werewolf form and unleashed a huge flamethrower.
"What is this?" Brandon picked up the wet crumpled up piece of paper that rolled by his feet. He opened it and saw the blue crayon illustrations then flipped it over and saw Alexis's name. "Alexis, who's-," He turned around and saw a huge wall of fire rushing toward him. The heat was so intense it was evaporating the rain and was already starting to burn his skin. "Oh shi-," He braced himself for impact.
"Brandon, look out," Fate created a large dragon from his barriers using it to shield Brandon from the fire. The dragon started screaming in pain as it was being cooked by the relentless flames. It's body was starting to crack. The fire began to swirl around the barrier covering the entire barrier in nothing but flames. "Don't worry, Brandon, I got this," He started coughing up blood using his spiritual energy to boost the dragon's defense. Even with this, the dragon was still being cooked by the flames. "Brandon, you've got to help your sister, she's dying. Don't let her be another Patience."
"She won't be," Brandon forced a swallow. "Fate, drop the barrier and let me die. You're the healer right? So it's up to you to save Selene. There's nothing I can do for her at this point so it's on you to save her." He watched as the dragon kept screaming in pain. The flames were getting hotter and the dragon started to burn black. Fate's hands started to burn as a result. Part of the damage being dealt to the dragon was now being dealt to Fate.
"Shit," Fate fell to one knee. The burns were moving up his hands up to his arms. His pale skin was now completely red from the burns. "I can stop it, I have to stop it," He coughed up more blood forcing himself to stand up. "Don't worry Brandon, I got you, you're not going to die on me." The burns reached the side of Fate's face.
"Drop the barrier Fate, you're going to die." Brandon yelled. "There's nothing you can do, it's over, she got me." He stood there. The ground was shaking from the vibrations of the collision. The dragon was getting weaker and flames were only getting stronger. "Even with my armor," He noticed burns all along his arms. Even being protected, the heat was still hot enough to burn him. He was being cooked inside the barrier. "I'm not sure I can survive this. These flames are getting way too hot. My armor might withstand it but my armor would become so hot. It'll melt my skin no matter what I do here. She's going to kill me. So this must be Alexis."
"Well played wolf," Brandon smirked as flames got hotter. The ground was shaking uncontrollably. The heat of flames was growing to abnormally high levels. It was even starting to fuse with the earth and create molten hot lava. "So this must be what it feels like to be struck inside the sun." He looked around the barrier seeing nothing but endless fire. Fate's dragon was screaming being burned alive by the flame. "Never would have thought, this would be how I'd die." He let out a deep sigh. "Well if my death means that much to you. Then, I guess, I'd better give you what you want before you kill us all." He forced a swallow. "Goodbye Fate," He walked toward the barrier.
"Brandon, no," Fate yelled. Brandon pulled back his fist and punched the inside of the barrier where it was weak. The barrier shattered and the flames collapsed on top of Brandon burning him alive until nothing but ash remained. The flames disappeared, Alexis stopped her flamethrower and heavy rain slowly doused out the lava that was being created.
"I did it," Alexis reverted back to her human form. "I did it, Jay, I killed him." She collapsed to the floor. She was laying on her side taking deep breaths trying to regain her strength. Fate appeared holding a sword in his hand. "It's okay," She held up her thumb. "You can kill me now, I got what I wanted." She smiled at Jay's corpse.
"Fair enough," Fate lifted his sword up over his head. He started to swing down but his eyes widened. "Oh, shit, Selene, no,"
Raven quickly glanced over at Selene. She smirked and her whole body exploded. A huge explosion covered the entire werewolf side of the battlefield. Wiping out their entire army and any vampires caught in it. The explosion started to expand, destroying more and more of the battlefield. The blast radius was insane, it wiped out Fate, Alexis, and. Raven gasped Claire was trying to outrun the explosion but it was gaining on her.
"Claire, hurry," She heard herself yell. She had Jayson propped on her shoulder and was helping him escape the explosion. She reached out to grab Claire's hand but the explosion caught her and killed her sister leaving no trace of her body. The knock back force of the explosion sent her flying back into the forest. She crashed into a tree being knocked out by the force of the collision.
Angel and Lycan were both blasted back by the shock wave of the explosion. Angel's body flying through trees breaking through them on impact. He was covered in bruises and had sharp sticks jammed into his shoulders and legs. He laid there in pain trying to get back up. Lycan was across from him trying to stand up. His back covered in sharp sticks, his right leg had a long sharp stick going through it.
Alejandro was knocked out of wolf state from being hit by the shock wave. He fell from great heights in his human form. His body crashed down to top Scythe. Scythe quickly held up his sword so it would stab him through the heart and kill him. Scythe's body was badly wounded by the knock back force and was barely able to move. He owed it to Alejandro, his giant wolf shielded him from most of the damage.
"I win," Scythe laid his head down on the grass. "I killed Ale-," He cringed as Alejandro's venomous canines bit down on his neck. Alejandro fell on Scythe's chest, his body no longer moving. "Damn you," Alejandro's werewolf venom entered Scythe's bloodstream and it was only a matter of time before it killed him.
Lord Grimm and Lord Alexander's fight was still going on. The two of them had avoided the explosion, neither of them taking much damage. They were exchanging blows left and right. Both of them were starting to slow down. Neither of their bodies were able to withstand much more damage. Soon their fight would be over and so would the war.
"Raven," Jayson crawled over to her. He was shaking her unconscious body. "Come on, you've got to wake up. The war isn't over yet. We still gotta fight. Damn it, she's out, guess we're done." He kept opening his hand and closing it so he'd stay awake. "No worries if somebody tries to kill you. I'll just be a human shield. Not like I can do anything else." He crawled over to a tree and rested his back against it. He sat there beside Raven, protecting her.
While that version of her was unconscious, the other version of Raven glanced over at Lycan and Angel as both of them got back on their feet. The two of them had sharp sticks poking out of their bodies. Angel had them in his shoulder, his chest and his back. Luckily not one of them was directed to his heart. He was yanking them out and throwing them on the grass beneath his feet. Each one stained by his blood.
"Why'd you do that?" Lycan glared at Angel. He yanked the long sharp stick out of his leg. He threw it down on the grass. "You could have just saved yourself from the explosion and left me to die. Instead you took me with you." He glanced down at the curse drawn on his chest. It was of black shield and it had greatly reduced the damage from Selene's explosion. The curse lit up three times then faded away.
"Because," Angel forced himself to move. The black shield curse he put on his chest also faded away. "If anyone is going to kill you. It's going to be me." He stood there in front of Lycan as rain poured down on his shirtless body. His pale hazel eyes were glaring deep into Lycan's eyes. He curled his hands up into fists and ran at Lycan.
Angel quickly punched Lycan in the jaw with a right and left hook. He spun striking Lycan with leg sweep. Lycan jumped back to avoid the attack. Before he could. Angel jumped forward and grabbed Lycan's throat. A feather curse appeared on Lycan's chest. Angel grinned and clinched tight on his throat. He ran through the trees slamming Lycan's weightless body from tree to tree. He then threw Lycan as far as he could, causing his body to fly all the way over into a mountain. Lycan's back slid down the rock and into the grass.
"Damn you," Lycan tried to get up, the feather curse faded once he got on his feet. "These markings of yours are so annoying." He tried to run at Angel, Angel put a curse on himself of a running shoe. This curse greatly boosted his speed but he moved so fast. He couldn't see where he was going. He shut his eyes, listening for Lycan's heart beat. He kept punching Lycan over and over again. He grabbed Lycan's skull and slammed it into the mountain. Angel squeezed tight on his skull trying to crush it.
"I won't die to you," Lycan jammed his claws in Angel's hand trying to force him to let go. Angel pulled Lycan's head back and slammed it back into the hard rocks. He kept doing it over and over until Lycan could no longer see from all the blood he was losing. Angel pulled his head back once more and slammed it into rocks once more. Lycan fell over grabbing his head as blood gushed out of it. He reached into his pocket to drink a vial of Claire's blood to heal himself. Angel grabbed his hand and crushed it along with the vial.
Angel showed no signs of pain as Claire's acidic blood burned his hand. Instead he ignored the damage like it was nothing. He kicked Lycan in the ribs, cracking the bones. He kept kicking him over and over again. He grabbed a handful of Lycan's hair, pulling it forcing him back on his feet. He forced Lycan against the hard rock and punched him hard in the face. Lycan fell over spitting up blood.
"Feels good, doesn't it?" Lycan wiped the blood from his lips. "Beating me to a bloody pulp. So tell me," He sat up, his back resting against the mountain. "Are you doing this for your wife or for mine?" He laughed as Angel backed up. "Did you honestly think I wouldn't figure it out?" He kept laughing. "At the wedding, you tried to jump in and save my wife but I beat you there. I saved her first. Then there's the fact, she tries to sneak off one night during our honeymoon thinking I wouldn't catch on. Then of course, there's the Lunar Ball where she suddenly disappeared. I can't help but feel like there's a connection here."
"So what if there's a connection?" Angel walked up to him. "It doesn't matter, you're dead anyway." He lifted his foot prepared to crush Lycan's skull and finish him off. The rain continued to pour as Lycan started laughing at him.
"What do you intend to do?" Lycan asked him. "You don't honestly think that. You and your werewolf are going to just walk off into the sunset with a happy ending do you?" He hitched a laugh. "You seem to forget, we're at war. Lord Alexander won't allow you to be with a werewolf. Especially not the werewolf who killed his daughter. Raven will die if Lord Alexander wins the war." He explained. "If my father wins, you will die, he will hunt you down as the last vampire remaining. He won't let you live." He added. "No matter who wins, one of you will die. But I can offer you a solution."
"What are you talking about?" Angel placed his foot back on the ground. "More importantly, why should I trust anything you have to say?" Lighting cracked in the sky, as droplets rain doused his hair. He stood there in silence giving Lycan a chance to explain. The two of them stared into each other's eyes as the rain poured down on them.
"I can remove the werewolf venom from Raven." Lycan explained. "It's my gift, I was told never to use it but put simply. I can make Raven human again." He glanced up at Angel. "If I bite her once, she's human, simple as that. She'll have her old life back, all the fame and fortune she once had will all be returned to her. Everything exactly as it was before she became a werewolf. I can make that happen and she doesn't have to die. But there's a price," He smirked. "I require your life in exchange for giving hers back. You don't have long to decide." He pointed over at Lord Grimm and Lord Alexander's fight.
The fight between the two kings was nearing its end. Lord Alexander and Lord Grimm were both on their last legs. Once their fight was over, Angel and Lycan would be the only two left still fighting each other. The war was about to end. The heavy rain continued to fall as Angel stood there deep in thought considering his options.
"She doesn't love you," Lycan forced himself to stand up. "I know all about your friendship with her as a human. I've done my research and I know, she chose her dream over you once. She'll do it again, she only loves herself. But I know, you love her." He stared into Angel's eyes. "If this is true, then, it seems only natural for you to want to die for her is it not? Think about it, you can give her dream back and all you have to do is die for her. She lives the life she's always wanted and you can give that to her right now. By offering your life in exchange for hers." He held his hand out to Angel to offer his deal. "Time's running out, what's it going to be?"
"You can really do that?" Angel stared at Lycan's hand as it was held out to him. "You can give her old life back and free her from all of this?" Lycan nodded. "Show me," He roughly grabbed Lycan by the back of his neck and walked him over to Jayson. "Turn him human," He held Lycan down and forced him to look at Jayson.
"Lycan," Jayson's eyes widened. He glanced over at Angel. "What's going on, what are you doing with that vampire?" He went to crawl away but Angel grabbed his leg and dragged him back over to Lycan. "Let go of me you asshole," Angel grabbed Jayson and pinned him down. "Hey get your filthy hands off me," He kept trying to escape but couldn't. "Lycan, help me out here and kill this fucker."
"Stay still," Angel slammed Jayson's face into the grass and held him still. "Lycan, do you want to make this deal or not?" He yelled. "Now turn him human, " Jayson kept trying to escape. "Stop moving." He warned, Jayson nodded and remained still.
"He'll die if I do that," Lycan explained.
"I'll what-," Jayson kept trying to escape but Angel held him in place. "No, please don't, I don't want to die, please Lycan. Make him let me go. Please don't do this, I don't want to die, I want to live, Lycan please." Angel punched Jayson in the face so he'd stop talking.
"Turn him," Angel demanded.
"Did you not hear what I just said?" Lycan asked. "The fact that he's a werewolf is the only thing keeping him alive." Angel still refused to let Jayson go. He kept struggling to get free but Angel held him in place. "Look," Lycan let out a deep sigh. "This one can control the flow of his adrenaline. By using that and combining it with the werewolf healing factor. He's able to withstand a lot of damage and save himself from life and death situations." He explained. "If you take that away, in his current condition, he'll die."
"I don't care," Angel rose to his feet. The moment he let go of Jayson. He tried to crawl away. "What part of staying still, don't you get?" He quickly grabbed Lycan by the back of the neck and threw him on top of Jayson. He kept trying to crawl but the weight of Lycan's body was keeping him pinned. "I said, turn him." He grabbed Lycan by the hair and forced his sharp canines to Jayson's neck. "You said you can turn werewolves human so prove it. Turn him now." He grabbed the back of Lycan's neck holding him over Jayson's neck. "You want me to die for Raven, fine. But, I want to make sure this works and that you're not bluffing. So do it or I'll kill you." Lycan let out a loud scream as Angel dug his finger into the wound in his leg making it deeper.
"No please," Jayson started to crawl away again. Angel grabbed his leg and pulled him over to Lycan. "Let go of me, no, I don't want to do this. Please I'll die, I don't want to die, I'm scared. Please don't do this." Angel held him down so Lycan could bite down on his neck. "Lycan, you can't do this to me, you have to help me please. I'm scared, I'm scared," He dug his claws into the ground trying to escape from Angel's grasp but couldn't. "No," His eyes widened as Lycan's jaw opened and his sharp canines came out. "Lycan, please, no, you can't do this to me, you can't, please I'm begging you."
A vibrant flash of lightning streaked through the sky, thunder cracked loudly as the heavy rain poured down on them. Lycan sunk his canines in Jayson's neck. He slowly sucked the werewolf venom out of his body. As a result, Jayson's sharp claws began to fade, becoming regular fingernails. His sharp canines began to shrink, turning back into human teeth. The dark tint in his amber eyes began to brighten turning to regular amber. Jayson's hand started shaking as his ability to control his adrenaline was being stripped from him. He began screaming out in pain as his healing factor disappeared and slowly but surely. His hand stopped moving as did the rest of his body. Jayson was now human but his wounds had killed him.
"There human," Lycan lifted Jayson's arm and dropped it. It fell motionless to the floor as he laid there as a corpse. "I told you, I could remove the werewolf venom. Now, decide," He rose to his feet. "Your life or hers. Time's running out."
Don't do it, Raven wanted to scream but couldn't. Her voice was gone. This was just another one of her visions. She was there, she could see it all but could do nothing to stop it. She stood there as Angel contemplated trading his life for hers. He was considering it, but she didn't want him to die for her. This isn't what she wanted. She wanted him, she didn't want her human life back, the fortune, the fame, she didn't care about that anymore. She just wanted him. She lived her dream but none of it compared to what she had with him. There had to be another way, they could run away together, spend their entire lives running. It was fine as long as Angel was with her. That was enough. He can't do this, she had to stop him but how?
Raven tried to grab him but she went right through him. She was nothing but a ghost to him. She couldn't stop him, he couldn't hear her, see her or even feel her. He was standing there thinking about dying for her and she couldn't even stop him. He didn't know how much she loved him and how much his death would hurt her. She didn't want him to die for her, this isn't what she wanted. Angel had to know that.
"I'll do it," Angel answered. "But first, hold out your tongue," Lycan raised his brow. "You want to win this war or not, if I die you win, that's what you want right? So, hold out your fucking tongue," Lycan stuck out his tongue. "I'm going to bind you with a curse that will be active even when I die. That way I know for a fact," He walked up to him. "You held up your end of the deal." He poked Lycan's tongue and a curse formed. The marking was an image of small cursive microscopic even.
"With this curse," Angel closed his eyes. "I bind you," The curse on Lycan's tongue began to glow. "You are to turn Raven human and once that is done. You are to never go near her again. You will ensure that she is never turned into a werewolf again and she is brought somewhere safe away from the war. If you break this agreement," He glared at Lycan. "You will be forced to bite off your own tongue and bleed to death." The curse stopped glowing and became active once Angel snapped his fingers. "Now then, I have one more condition." Angel held out his hand, his sword teleported into his hand.
"What more could you possibly want?" Lycan rolled his eyes. "There's nothing I can do to stab you in the back. You even made me kill one of my own." He motioned over to Jayson. "It's a little too late to want to back out now." Angel let out a deep sigh. "Besides, like I said, we don't have much time."
"I know, I just-," Angel lowered his head. "If I'm going to die then, I at least want it to mean something. So I just want her to know that I did this for her. That she is and always will be the person I cherish most in this world. She saved my life once and now it's my turn to save her." He kissed Raven's cheek while she laid there unconscious. "Just promise me, you'll tell her that and if you can do all of that then," He rose to his feet. "You can kill me." He threw Lycan his sword, he caught it.
"As you wish," Lycan smirked. "Now we end this war," He ran at Angel who stood defenseless. Raven kept trying to scream to make Angel dodge but he wouldn't. Lycan was going to kill him and he was going to let him. She kept trying to move him but she kept going right through him. She was punching him, kicking him trying to get his attention. He can't do this, no, she had to stop this from-.
Lightning struck, thunder echoed in the clouds. Raven heard the sharp tip of the sword pierce Angel's chest puncturing his heart. The blade was covered in Angel's blood as Lycan pushed it deeper into his chest. It was at that moment, her physical body regained consciousness and saw Angel die right in front of her. His blood dripped all over the floor. She was screaming so loud, she thought her lungs would burst. Angel fell to the floor, his body nothing but a corpse. He was gone, Angel was gone, he wasn't coming back. She saw him die, she saw it, she was never going to forget that. She was screaming, she couldn't stop screaming.
"Raven," That voice, it was faint but, there's no mistake. Those hands shaking her, that sweet voice calling to her. She immediately clung to that voice. He's alive, Angel's alive, tears streamed down her face. "You were screaming, is everything okay?" She kept crying into his chest, her whole body was shaking. "Hey, it was just a dream, it was just a really bad dream." He ran his fingers through her hair stroking it. "You're okay, You're okay," He spoke those words softly into her ear. She let these words soothe her tears. She clinched her stomach feeling a huge knot there, she felt sick, really, really, sick.
"I've got to go," Raven rushed over to the bathroom. While she was over there relieving herself of what felt like. The world's worst stomach ache, she rested by the toilet next to the trash can. It had at least four condom packages in it. She had sex with Angel that many times last night. "You really need to find a way to get rid of -," She felt another knot in her stomach. Her words were immediately cut off by more sickness.
"Raven, are you okay?" Angel walked into the bathroom. "First you have that dream. Now you're throwing up." He sat down beside her. "Should I be concerned?" Raven shook her head and forced herself to stand up.
"No, I'm fine," Raven ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm sure it's just a stomach ache." She laughed. "Besides, Lycan tried to cook for me during our honeymoon. He's a really bad cook so I bet it was that." She flushed the toilet. "Don't worry about it, okay, I'm sure it's nothing." She kissed Angel's cheek. "Is it morning already?"
"Um," Angel ran over to the nearest curtain. "Please don't be, sunlight," He pulled open the curtains. "Whew," He wiped his brow. "No sun's not out yet, otherwise, your prince would be on fire because that would have burned the shit out of me." He closed the curtains. "See this right here, is why you love me, because I would get a sunburn for you."
"I know, it's so romantic," Raven kissed his cheek. "I'd better go before Lycan wakes up and realizes I'm still not back yet. Where's my nightgown?" She started scrambling around the bedroom looking for her clothes. "Wait, I can't go back wearing that, it smells like you. Shit, I smell like you. We're so busted."
"No, we're not," Angel walked over to her. "Your nightgown is in the dryer. I took care of everything last night while you were asleep. Vampires don't need sleep, remember?" She rushed over and hugged Angel. "Wait, I know you're against this but." He placed a curse on her wrist of a flower. "That'll mask your scent until you take a shower. I'll just mix in an invisibility curse and you'll be good to go." She watched as the curse on her wrist disappeared. "You can kill me later, but right now the main concern is making sure our tracks are covered."
"Alright, this curse I'll allow, this once." Raven warned. "The only reason I'm not going to argue with you is because. I'm pressed for time and I have no other way to get your scent off me at the moment. Unless," She began fixing her hair. "I take a shower but then, I'll smell like Blaire's body wash or possibly your body wash which wouldn't be bad but if Lycan smells it." She let out a deep sigh. "It will be. Where's the dryer?"
"I'll show you," Angel slipped on his pajama pants. He ran downstairs, she followed him. "It should be, yeah, by the pool." He rushed into the large kitchen and went into a hallway that was straight shot to two glass doors. Raven could see a large indoor swimming pool through the glass doors.
"Are you kidding me?" Raven gasped. "A pool and a hot tub, that's so unfair, it's like Lord Alexander tried to bring the beach to your house." She groaned. "I'm over this, where's the dryer?" Angel spun her around and behind her was a washer and dryer. He opened the dryer for her and she pulled out her clothes.
"I know," Angel kissed her cheek. "This house is amazing and the werewolves need a loan." He slapped her on the ass. "Now hurry up and get dressed so I can walk you back. Or at least back to the fence," He went over to the couch and sat down. He shut off the television. It was on some action channel. He must have been watching television while he did her laundry last night. Though, he must have forgotten to turn it off last night.
Raven quickly slipped on her bra and panties. She threw her nightgown on and fixed her hair once more. She sniffed the gown, it smelled of fresh flowers. Hopefully this was enough to cover Angel's scent. It had to be or she was screwed.
"Ready," Raven walked through the broken front door. She had forgotten that Angel broke the door last night. Luckily, they were the only ones on the island or a werewolf assassin could have walked into the house and killed them. Which made her wonder, do they even have werewolf assassins? Is that a thing, because it needs to be a thing.
Angel walked beside her as the two of them made their way to the fence. As they were walking together. Raven couldn't help but think of her dream or better yet her horrible nightmare. She couldn't get the image of Angel dying out her head. Was that really a dream? Or was it something else? What if it was another vision like the one she saw of the past? Could it be possible that she could see both past and future events? If there's even a slight chance that her dream was real and it was going to happen. Then, she had to tell Angel what she wanted. She couldn't leave him thinking that she preferred her old life over him.
"Angel, I need you to listen to me," Raven stopped as they reached the fence. "No matter what happens during the war. I want you to know that, if given a choice, I'd choose you," She grabbed his hand. "Over anything else. I need you to know that. Whatever Lycan says, promise me," She pressed her forehead against his. "You won't listen to him. I love you okay and don't let him convince you that I don't. I don't want to lose you."
"Raven," Angel ran his fingers through her hair. "What are you talking about? You're not going to lose me. Besides," He kissed her forehead. "Why would I listen to anything Lycan has to say?" He laughed. "What part of I hate him don't you get?" She kept seeing flashes of Angel's death. She had to make sure it didn't happen. She had to make sure Angel knew what she wanted. So when Lycan tried to tempt him. He'd know not to take the offer and kill Lycan instead. "Is this about your dream?" He asked. "Raven, listen to me, it was just a dream, it's not real, trust me, nothing is going to happen."
"But what if it does?" Raven argued. "That's why I'm scared and that's why I need you to promise me. You won't listen to what Lycan has to say." She stared deep into Angel's eyes. "I need you to know that if I had to choose between. Losing you and getting my human life back or living a life of running as a werewolf with you forever. I choose running," She took both of his hands. "I don't want to lose you ever, so promise me, you won't forget what I told you. I want you to remember every detail of this conversation."
"Okay, I'll remember," Angel agreed. "Not like I'd listen to Lycan to begin with. But if it puts your mind at ease. I promise, I won't listen. I'll just kill him and that'll be it." He placed his hand on the fence. "So you'd really choose me over your human life? You don't want it back, like, at all?" He raised his brow.
"Not if it means losing you," Raven answered. "I'd better go before Lycan wakes up and finds out that I'm still gone. " She kissed his cheek. "Don't forget about our date," She climbed the fence and jumped down to the other side. "It better be romantic," She warned, "I expect to see you there at the NightShade Campsite to pick up your princess."
"I'll be there, count on it." Angel smirked. "Hey Raven, I have a favor to ask." She walked up the fence. "So you know the Elders are the key to ending the war right?" That's right, she remembered reading that in Angel's journal. "So I was thinking, you might have better luck finding out more about the werewolf elder than us. So you and Claire can tackle that one and we'll tackle the vampire elder. We'll exchange notes on our date. If that's okay with you?"
"Of course, I'll see what I can find." Raven agreed. "Is there anything else I can do to help?" She offered. "It's not like I'm doing much, I'm pretty sure, I'm just going to sit there and do nothing while Lycan prepares for the war."
"Well yeah, there is one more thing," Angel smirked. "Can you tell me where the NightShade Campsite is?" She laughed. She was wondering when he was going to ask her that. Especially since he had no idea where to find it. But if she told him, it'd ruin the challenge so instead of telling him, She walked away. "Hey, no fair," He called out. "You can't just walk away like that."
"Why don't you just ask that thing between your legs?" Raven teased. "I'm sure it knows where to find it. It's a tracker," She turned around and faced him now walking backwards. "Remember?" She blew Angel a kiss. His lips formed a slight smirk in response. He turned around and began walking back to the house. She needed to hurry back as well. The last thing she needed was for Lycan to find out she had been gone all night. Then, he'd start asking questions and she'd have to come up with a story to tell him. She quietly snuck her way back inside Lycan's beach house and slowly shut the front door.
"He must still be asleep," Raven let out a sigh of relief. She was glad she was able to dodge Lycan's wraith. She quickly went over to Lycan's bathroom which was downstairs and started showering. Angel told her the curse would disappear the moment she showered. To her amazement, she watched as the invisible curse appeared and smeared right off her arm like washable ink. He's getting better with these curses. Lord Alexander's training must be paying off. She continued to clean herself with Lycan's body wash so she'd smell like him. She hoped this would deter him from asking her any questions.
The bathroom door opened and Lycan stepped inside. He was still naked, the gash Blaire left on his back at the wedding was gone. He had completely healed thanks to him sleeping off the damage. He let out a loud yawn and splashed some water on his face to wake himself up. He grabbed his tooth brush from the tooth holder beside the sink.
"You never came back to bed last night," Lycan squirted toothpaste on his toothbrush. He stuck the bristles in his mouth and began brushing his canines. He ran some water as he scrubbed his teeth with toothpaste. Raven's eyes lingered on his sharp canines being reminded of what she saw in her dream.
Raven saw Lycan turn Jayson human. He sunk his canines into Jayson's neck and sucked out the werewolf venom. She was curious, was it just a dream or could Lycan actually be able to turn his fellow werewolves human? She had to know, she kept checking his canines to see if there was any difference in his canines than those of other werewolves. There was, when most werewolves brushed their teeth some of their venom came out during. It was usually a messy process but with Lycan there was no venom.
"How come you don't have any werewolf venom?" Raven asked him. "I thought all werewolves carried venomous canines." She coated her hands in shampoo and started to scrub it into her hair.
"How come you didn't come to bed last night?" Lycan spit up some toothpaste but again not one drop of werewolf venom. "That's the question you should be answering before you ask me anything." He stuck his toothbrush back in his mouth.
"Well," Raven's finger traced the bracelet on her wrist. "I went for a walk on the beach to clear my-," Lycan's eyes shot open once he saw the bracelet. In seconds she found herself pinned to the wall, his hand gripping tight on her wrist. "Lycan, stop, you're hurting me," She tried to jerk her arm free of his tight grasp. Despite her best efforts, he wouldn't let go of her forearm.
"Where'd you get this?" Lycan slammed her wrist against the wall and forced her to look at the bracelet. "Answer me," She let out a loud scream as he tried to break her wrist. "Where'd you get that bracelet?" He yelled.
"I found it on the beach," Raven answered. He let go of her wrist. "Ou, what the fuck, it's just a bracelet." She kept moving her wrist to make sure it wasn't broken. "Unless, it's not just a bracelet, tell me, who did this bracelet belong to?" She asked. "Who was she, or are you fucking someone behind my back? Come on, surely this bracelet means something to you so out with it. Who the fuck is she?"
"Wow," Lycan laughed. "You're accusing me of cheating on you." He laughed harder. "That's a new one," He wiped tears from eyes from laughing so hard. "I'm not the one who snuck out last night for a walk on the beach." He pointed out.
Raven thought accusing him of cheating was going to make him tell her who that woman was. Unfortunately, Lycan was too smart for that to work. Instead he flipped it around her and she didn't know what to say. She was at a loss for words,
"So, here's what I suggest," Lycan pressed his lips against hers. "Shut the fuck up and take care of your husband," He brought his lips to her ear. "Before he starts asking questions you can't answer. Otherwise, you might just get yourself killed." He forced her against the wall as his lips tasted her neck. She had an idea, she can't make him talk about the woman but she can make him confess his ability.
"Oh, Lycan," Raven moaned into his ear. "Bite me on the neck," She called out. Lycan's hands were on her breasts lightly squeezing them. His hands released her breasts and ran along her curves as he kissed the side of her neck. "I want you to bite me," She called out again. "Do it, Lycan please," She begged, letting out another moan. "I want you to bite me." She moaned into his ear, he bit his lip and pulled away from her. "Why can't you do it? it's an easy request, after all, werewolves love biting each other."
"Damn it, Raven," Lycan shut off the shower and got out. He grabbed his towel, drying himself off. "I can't bite you." He wrapped the towel around his waist. He threw her a towel, she grabbed it and wrapped it around herself.
"Why not?" Raven crossed her arms. "I'm immune to your werewolf venom but wait hold on," She stepped out of the shower and grabbed Lycan's toothbrush. "You don't have werewolf venom do you?" She stuck his toothbrush in her mouth and took it out. The bristles were covered in black venom that was produced by her canines. "Yeah, so, tell me, why can't you bite me Lycan?" She walked up to him.
"Um, my venom is like Alejandro's." Lycan answered. "It's highly venomous. It can kill you." That was such a lie, she was sure that Alejandro's venom killed every tooth brush it came in contact with. He probably had them stockpiled. She had to change hers out weekly because her venom would eat away at the bristles. He's lying and she knows it.
"I call your bluff," Raven challenged. "Bite me anyway." She moved her wet hair to the side of her neck. Her neck was right there, she was offering it to him. But still, he wouldn't bite her. He rolled his eyes and turned his back to her. "Come on, Lycan, bite my neck," He walked out of the bathroom. "What's the matter," She walked after him. "Can't do it," He growled and kept walking as she chased him around the house.
"Are you a coward?" Raven grabbed Lycan's arm and made him turn around and face her. "Bite my fucking neck motherfucker." She placed her hands on his chest and pushed him back. "Do it," She pushed him again. "I dare you." She crossed her arms. "Bite me," Lycan rolled his eyes again and walked away. "Come on," She stood in front of him. "My neck's right here." She pointed at the side of her neck. "Come on, bitch," Lycan started walking up upstairs. "Make me human," She yelled. She quickly put her hand over her mouth realizing what she just told him. He stopped at the staircase and looked over at her.
"How do you know about that?" Lycan growled. He walked downstairs and got face to face with her. "Nobody knows I can turn werewolves human except me," He pointed at himself. "And my father." He grabbed Raven's throat and lifted her into the air. Her feet dangled off the floor as she started kicking. "So how the fuck, did that information get into your hands?" He gripped tighter on her throat. She was fighting just to breathe, Lycan was choking the life out of her. "Who told you, my father? No," He smirked. "He'd never disclose that information. Somebody else knows, who is it?" He demanded. "Who told you?" Raven started laughing.
"You just did," Raven smirked. He released her throat. She fell to the floor grasping her throat. She took a second to catch her breath and got back on her feet. "I figured since you don't have any werewolf venom. It must mean," She rubbed her throat, she was still a bit out of breath but she'd live. "You're able to suck out the venom and," She walked over to her suitcase and began taking some clothes out of it. "Turn a werewolf into a human." Once she had the clothes she wanted to wear, she sealed up her suitcase. "That's your ability right?" She looked over at him, he stood there in silence. He was still in shock that she had figured it out.
"Yes," Lycan answered finally. "That's my ability." He walked upstairs to get dressed. She chased after him carrying her folded clothes. She couldn't believe it. This whole time, Lycan could have turned her back into a human and saved her from all of this. She'd be free of the war, she didn't have to marry him, none of it, she could have been human. He hated her to begin with. So, why wouldn't he just turn her human so he wouldn't have to deal with her anymore. This made no sense, why torture her like this?
"You bastard," Raven threw her clothes on the bed. She pushed Lycan while he was trying to put on his pants. The impact caused him to trip and crash into their dresser. His chin hit the edge of the wooden dresser. He rose to his feet and rubbed his chin.
"This whole fucking time," Raven picked up a picture frame and threw it clear across the room. The picture shattered against the wall leaving glass all over the carpet. "You could have given me my life back." She pushed Lycan against the dresser. "You could have given me a choice." She pushed him again. "You could have even saved my sister from all this." She yelled. "But instead," She took a deep breath. "You chose to stand there and do nothing. You forced us to stay werewolves and forced us to fight in your stupid war." She kept punching Lycan in the chest, he blocked by putting his arm in the way. She began taking deep breaths to calm herself but she was just so angry that he'd do this to her.
"Let me guess," Raven ran her fingers through her hair. "You did nothing because," She put her hands on her hips. "That's exactly what your father told you to do." She grabbed another picture frame and threw it at the wall. "You are so pathetic, for once in your fucking life have some balls and make your own fucking decisions. And you want to be King," She laughed. "Here's the thing about being King dickface, you have to make your own decisions daddy can't help you. Unless, you're really that helpless to where daddy has to get you through that. Then, could you really call yourself a King at that point?" She shook her head. "No, you can't. You're just daddy's little bitch and you know something that's all you'll ever be."
"Are you done?" Lycan hitched a laugh. He didn't even listen to a word, she said. Is he really that content with being Lord Grimm's bitch? He doesn't even care that his father is controlling every aspect of his life. He's really that pathetic. "I'm only going to let you put your hands on me one more time. So you better make it count." Raven punched him as hard as she could in the balls, he arched over grabbing his family jewels and collapsed to the floor.
"How's that?" Raven grabbed his suitcase off the bed and dropped it on top of him. "Now, get the fuck out while you still have some balls left to use." She showed him her claws, Lycan quickly got up and grabbed the suitcase. Just as he was about to leave he stopped at the doorway, his eyes looking over at the bracelet on her wrist.
"Keep the bracelet, it suits you." Lycan left the bedroom.
Raven glanced down at the bracelet. She let out a deep sigh and started getting dressed. She threw off her towel and slipped on a black lace bra and a pair of panties to match. She put on a gray tank top and tight distressed blue jeans. She tied her black hair up in a ponytail with a gray hair tie. Once she was dressed she grabbed her bathroom supplies, cramming them in a shopping bag. Just as she was about to leave the bedroom. She noticed the two broken picture frames on the floor.
The first picture was of Alejandro, Lycan, and the woman. The three of them were on the beach. They were sitting on a blanket in the sand. Lycan was on the right side of the woman, he was shirtless and had a slight grin on his face. Alejandro was on her left, his hands resting underneath his head as laid there shirtless. His eyes were closed as he laid there sound asleep unaware of the photo being taken. The red haired woman was in the center with a huge smile on her face. Her dark amber eyes were radiating with happiness. She was holding up a black T-shirt that read "NightShade." in purple letters.
The second picture was of NightShade during the Lunar Ball. Raven remembered taking the photo that day. It's strange how different the two photos were. The Lycan in the previous photo had more joy in his eyes. Alejandro in the other photo even while he slept showed more emotion than the one in their photo. The two of them were just so different from what they were back then. Has the war really changed them that much? She picked the broken picture frames up and put them back on the dresser.
"Lycan, wait," Raven called out . She ran downstairs, she shoved her bathroom supplies in her luggage. Lycan was at the doorway waiting on her. "Let's head back to camp together," He shrugged and the two of them left the house. She took Lycan's hand as they walked toward their boat. He started the boat and they left.
Raven watched as the island slowly began to disappear behind them. From a distance, she saw an image of the woman in her vision. Her beautiful crimson hair slowly moved with the wind current. Her dark amber eyes staring back as her lips formed a friendly smile. Raven shut her eyes and when she opened them. The woman was gone, her eyes lingered on the bracelet. One by one pieces of the puzzle were coming together. Not just with NightShade's dark secret but. The war too.
Raven was now convinced that her dream was more than just a dream. It was a possible future, in less than three days. Her dream will become a nightmarish reality. She had to do everything in her power to stop it from happening. The question is, how is she going to be able to stop a war?

Prince of Destiny
Karl is the last prince of a royal house that has been overthrown by brutal revolutionaries. Orphaned by the revolutionaries, he was rescued and has been raised in secret by Leevana, a green skinned night-hag, for the past ten years. When Karl turns sixteen and is old enough to embrace his destiny, he and Leevana must set out on a quest to find his royal grandmother. But the depraved new leader of the revolutionaries, Joe Steel, is on their trail... Somewhat inspired by the basic concept of Don Bluth's fairy tale animated feature, purporting to be based on the myths surrounding Anastasia Romanov. I don't think this counts as a fanfiction, because it does not use anyone else's characters and it is in its own self-contained world, but please keep in mind the inspiration. Leevana and Karl are completely original characters, but Joe Steel, the bigger bad, is inspired by Stalin. Maybe let me know if you think it should have a fanfiction tag or not.
