《Killing demon as a deity》Chapter 10

Its large paw blasted through the air but wasn’t able to land a hit on Kira because of his erratic movements.
Every time it would crush down onto the ground, he simply jumped back and dashed in again. After a drawn out display of his skills at dodging, the beast eventually became furious and gripped both paws into the ground and stood on all-fours.
‘It’s getting ready for something, I have to-’
A hand sized rectangular piece of paper flew past Kira’s face and interrupted his thought. The paper headed straight towards the bear and stuck itself on his fur with ease.
The paper had no substance on it however it seemed to have moved completely on its own and then stuck to the bear like glue.
“What is that?” Kira muttered as he stared in confusion.
The piece of paper began to crinkle, followed by blue jolts rumbling over the area the paper was stuck to.
The jolts focused and became a concentrated mass of electricity which moved in a controlled fashion around the bear’s body.
The electricity fastened itself around the demons body acting as restraints, which seemed to work well as it was not able to move from the spot it stood on. It cried out with every move it made, getting shocked and tugged against with more and more force.
‘What is this; is there another demon around here? No that’s impossible…the only other thing I noticed close by was-’ Kira flipped around hastily at the girl he had saved.
She held up her left hand in the Kidney Mudra position, which was made from placing your thumb over the pinkie and ring finger while the other two pointed up.
She held the position while commanding a deep concentration, focusing on the piece of paper as lighting seemingly bended to her whim. The previously innocent and distressed face, had been replaced by a stern expression a soldier would usually have.

“Get out of here now, quickly! Run while I still- have it under control…” She commanded.
As she spoke to Kira, the lightning began shifting at a more rapid and uncontrolled fashion due to the lack of concentration. She noticed her control slipping and readjusted herself, ending her words abruptly.
Kira displayed a sour expression after what she had said, which resulted in him walking towards the beast with an irritated scowl.
“Shut it, I don’t know what you are but I’m killing these things! Don’t get in my way princess.” Kira said with a dismissive tone.
He had completely closed down her words and decided to take the demon on by himself, as he rushed in towards it with his sword.
“P-princess?! You can’t just ignore me! Stop- oh no!”
She dropped her concentration slightly which would have normally caused the restraints to slightly lower but due to the beasts excessive force it broke free. The bear’s large body grew slightly larger and radiated a pungent red aura which highlighted its bulging muscles through the fur.
The bolts of lightning which had been wrapped around it a few seconds ago had all been blown apart and disappeared. The paper tore as soon as the electricity had been severed from the demons body.
The demonic bear let out a deafening roar as it spread out its body, standing on all four legs faced towards Kira.
He had already reached the five meter span of its attack range and wouldn’t be able to dodge it at that point.
‘Shit-’
A full mouth of dagger-like fangs came rushing at Kira with every intention of biting down on him whole. The bear’s mouth was half the size of Kira, snapping at him from point blank range.
“Eeeeek!” The girl shrieked as the bear attacked him. She averted her eyes by instinct.

‘That big idiot, why did he get himself killed like that- What?!’
The girl stood in awe.
Kira held both ends of the mouth open with each hand, closing slowly as he struggled to hold them apart. He had become noticeably stronger than when he spared with Moto thanks to the training he kept practicing every day.
“He’s amazing…how could anyone be that strong?” The girl muttered.
The bear towered over him, leaving a pair of gleaming red eyes to stare him down. Even with Kiramaru's increased strength he wasn’t able to overpower the demon, at that point he was only slightly able to keep it from completely biting down on him.
‘What the hell is up with this monstrous strength, I can barely- hold it!’ Kira thought as he held on desperately.
Sweat ran down from both sides of his face, summoning the last ounces of strength he had to keep the bears mouth from snapping down on him. If he released his grip for even a second it would have bared its fangs into his sides, severing the lower half of his body from the top.
A thick wet heat pressed against his face from within the bear’s mouth. He stared into the dark void only inches away from him and couldn't help but feel what felt like a sharp steel blade seized around his throat.
‘This is death; it’s unlike anything I have felt before. When I died before, I hadn’t known it. Only that it hurt…this is real death. I can see how I’ll die.’
The bear’s mouth began to close more, to the point where Kira's arms were buckling against the side of his body. The back of his hands almost reached his body.
“I need to move…or he really will be dead. I’m not strong enough though, how could I save him now? How could I-’
A sudden burst of laughter snapped the girl out of her thoughts. Kira had begun smirking as he shouted out,
“If you think I’ll go back after achieving nothing then you really are just a dumb bear!”
“Achieving nothing?” The girl muttered.
Flickers of shadows began to surround his body. With a single pulse from his being, Kira was enveloped inside of swarm of black flames.
“Burn.”
His flames created sharp spikes which stabbed through the bears mouth in varies areas, burning the holes closed.
“Graaaaaaagh!!!”
The bear trudged backwards as it covered its mouth with both paws.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Kira said sternly as he dashed forward with his arm reached out towards the demon.
His hand had been completely surrounded by flames but kept the shape of a hand. The flames had formed into a claw.
“Die! Die! DIE!”

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.
