《djinn's child》Chapter 8: Tirana and favors

As we started walking I had a realization “can you pull up you pants legs real quick” I asked thinking of Tirana. “Alright one sec” Caz said pulling up his pants legs. As I looked at Caz’s legs I saw a marking on both legs. “Congrats you have a new mark” I said as I stood up. “What is the mark for?” Caz asked as he fixed his pants legs. “It’s for the movement I thought you” I said as we continued walking. “So dose that mean I learned it?” Caz said looking at me with joy. “Yup it’s not finished but you have a new marking” I said while clapping.
“So I have two markings now” Caz said with a goofy smile. “No you have three” I said as we neared the mountain of prayers. “What do you mean?” Caz said looking at himself. “Little zeta got you a mark on your gut” I said pointing at Caz’s gut. As I said that zeta meowed and flared it’s wings. “So I have another mark thanks to zeta” Caz said scratching zeta. “Yeah thanks to zeta” I said as I patted zeta on its head.
I thought about how long it would take to get there from here. “I think we should speed up the process” I said as I stretched to get ready. “Alright” Caz said as he got ready to run. “Don’t worry I’ll get us close but not exactly there so we don’t have to worry about questions” I said as I looked towards Tirana. “Grab my arm” I said holding out my arm. “Alright” Caz said as he grabbed my arm. “Oh make sure to hold onto to zeta” I said as I prepared to get going. “Oh right” Caz said as he put zeta in his cloak.
As soon as zeta was in Caz’s cloak I began to take us to Tirana. A purple light glowed as we moved like a bolt of lightning. I saw Caz was starting to slip as we neared Tirana. I slowed down until I was at a complete stop. “We’re at our destination” I said watching Caz through up. “I didn’t expect you to go that fast” Caz said as zeta crawled out of his cloak. “Sorry but I stopped here for two reasons” I said helping Caz up from the ground. “What are they” Caz said as he put zeta on his shoulder.

“First we are as close as we can get to Tirana because of the guards” I said pointing to the gate. “Then what’s the second reason” Caz said while trying to adjust his eyes. “I saw two kids fighting they were in uniform” I said pointing to a field. Where there were two kids shooting magic fighting tier two monsters. “So what about it?” Caz said looking at the two kids. “We can see if there from myrin and you can see how magic works” I said as I walked down the hill to the field.
“Alright if you say so” Caz said as he followed me. “If they need help step in” I said pointing at the tier two monsters that looked like a snake. As the two ran out of mana the serpent prepared to strike. “Now” I said as Caz used his new mark to get to the kids.
~Cazlid POV~
As I dashed forward to protect the two students who I haven’t looked at really. “You ok you two” i said pointing my spear at the serpent. “We don’t need help from someone who’s not even apart of myrin” one of the students said with anger in his voice. The serpent lunged and tried to wrap around me. I used my new mark and ducked down and slid away from the serpent. “What tier are you two” I asked while kicking the serpents jaw. “We are tier one travelers we are fine” the same male voice said. “Is the other person okay” I asked as the serpent bit my armor.
“Damn it” I said aloud. “They are fine they are passed out though” the boy said trying to get up. “I need to finish this quickly” I said as zeta came out of my cloak. Zeta flew over the serpent to draw its attention. I prepared to strike it by aiming at the serpents head. I used my mark to get to get to the serpent and I stabbed it’s neck and jumped back. As I remembered the second serpent I turned to see it was killed by Doran.
“I’m sorry I forgot about the second one” I said bowing to Doran while Zeta landed next to me to bow as well. “As well as forgetting the second one you got bit” Doran said as he crossed his arms. “I’m sorry” I said not looking up from the ground. “Are you ok you two” Doran said looking at the two students. “Yes we are good now thank you” said a blonde near gold colored haired girl who was passed out earlier. The boy seemed annoyed by being saved. Zeta hoped on my shoulder and crawled in my cloak.

“Are you perhaps a relative of the city owner or the godly being” Doran asked as he crouched down to be at eye level with the two students. “I am how did you know?” The girl said with a look of worry. “Don’t worry is the godly being in the city right now?” Doran asked looking at the sky. “They are why do you want to know?” The girl asked looking at Doran with a hint of fear. “I have a favor I want to cash in with them” Doran said as he stood up. “Well you can come with me to meet them” the girl said less worried then before. “Alright just tell me the street floor and room” Doran said stretching.
“Arly and fornat the tall yellow building fifth floor third room on the left” the girl said as she stood up with the boy. “Would you like to come along?” Doran asked while his eyes were closed. “Yes I would like to come with you” the girl said cleaning her uniform. “You ready to go little Caz?” Doran said as he rose his hand. “Yeah how will we get there this time” I asked worried if we would move like before. “No just a simple portal” Doran said as he lowered his hand and a cut to an empty hall way. “Come along you two” Doran said as we walked through.
“It should be this room right here” the girl said pointing to a room. “Alright thank you” I said hoping they won’t follow. “I’ll enter with you” she said smiling. As Doran opened the door I saw a woman with short gold hair. “Hello ca” the godly being said as Doran cut them off. “I go by Doran now miss Yira” Doran said smiling while taking a seat. “I see so what would you like Doran?” Yira said as the girl ran up to her and hugged her. “I want to cash in a favor” Doran said leaning back in his chair. “I thought I payed back all my favors” Yira said while clenching her fist. “Did you forget about the time I killed you know who” Doran said smirking.
“Well what is it you want” Yira said putting her hand on her forehead. “Well you see this boy he is my son and I want you to help get him into myrim” Doran said pointing at me. “That is all. And I’ll just ignore the son thing” Yira said waving her hand. “Yeah you know how hard it is for high tiers to teach magic” Doran said rubbing his eyes. “Yes I know I tried” Yira said leaning forward. “Thank you darling” Doran said giving Yira a wink. Yira had a slight blush. “Well is there anything else” Yira sai still blushing. “Hmm how about a date” Doran said smiling at Yira. “Fine just leave already” Yira said waving us to leave. “Alright I’ll see you later” Doran said while we were walking out the room.
“Did you have a relationship with miss Yira?” I asked Doran. “Yes kind of it’s hard to explain but you will be going to school soon” Doran said giving me a smile. “I have another question” I said to Doran looking up at him. “What is it little Caz” Doran said looking at me. “What tier are you really?” I asked trying to figure out if he was a godly being. With a sigh from Doran “I thought you would ask well I’m a tier four a disaster” Doran said patting my head. “Is that why you don’t know how to teach me?” I asked to confirm. “Yes and the reason I know the godly beings is because I was considered an exception to the tiers” Doran said pushing his hair back.
“I see dose that mean you are a godly being?” I asked in confusion. “I’m not I’m still a tier four but I was made by a godly being but I was locked away” Doran said looking at the roof. “I’m sorry” I said looking down. “It’s all good it feels good to tell someone” Doran said patting my head. “I’m still sorry” I said looking at Doran. “Don’t worry I need to tell you more but that will come later on” Doran said as I began to fall asleep. “I’m tired” I said while yawning. “Go to sleep you did a lot today” Doran said as I passed out to Doran humming.

If a human became a god and rewrote the world to his liking. Expect terrible execution, perhaps decent ideas, and chapters shifting around. Cover Art by Jack0fheart. Not really what I was going for but whatever, everyone has their own imagination.
8 189Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
