As the tears slowly stopped I felt far more calm then ever. " I'm sorry for being so emotional" I said while wiping the tears from my face. "Its ok it is good to be emotional at times but not all the time" he said wiping a tear from my eyes.
"how do we get out of this forest" i said looking around the endless forest seeing the littered around like a battle field. "well to get out we need to go a bit further in" as he pointed to a area with a wall of gas. "why do we have to go that way?" I said trying to convince him to get us out a different way. he pointed at my forehead and said "your mind and body are week so I'm gonna change that" in that moment I felt a light warmth. That warmth was replaced with a pain that can be described in one way every bone breaking, and skin tearing. It didn't last long but it still hurt after it was done
"well little Caz your stronger then I thought" he said as my vision went dark as my hair grew and turn pure white. my hands seemed to be harder, and my body seemed to be a bit more muscular. "what did you change" I said still trying to catch my breath. " I made it so your body can train better any you can travel with me easier" he said putting a had out to help me get up from the ground. "that hurt like I fell from a tower" i said while getting up with the help of Doran.
"we do need to get you a change of clothes what you have on wont be acceptable" he said pointing at my clothes. "what do you have in mind" I said while moving my hair back. "I'm thinking something like a thin white cloak and a nice scarf" he said waving his finger in the air and suddenly I was in a white cloak and a blue scarf. I lifted my arms and saw a ring on my thumb a beautiful gold with a rose on it.

"well should we get going to get out of the forest" i said still in aw of the clothes. "yes we do it wont take long its just safer for you" he said while slowly walking. I ran to catch up with him.
“Can I ask you a question” I said looking up at him “sure what is it little Caz” he said with a smile. “How long will it take to get out of the forest” I said while looking to the sky. “Maybe an hour and a half” he said while looking up. A long silence fell over the forest then he asked “why did you have my ring” he looked at me waiting for an answer.
“It’s a long story” I said hoping he’d stop asking. “well we have plenty of time right now” he said looking at me with a look of calm and pure curiosity. “ well it started 3 years ago” I said looking at the ground.
~3rd person POV~
A sunny day in a small troubled village. As they live next to a forest full of monsters many people came to go hunt. Rarely ever did someone come back out. While the village was attacked by the people who came out.
One person came out near death a crowd formed in an instant. All that could be heard was “are you ok” , “what did you fight in there” , and “what treasures did you find” the villagers asked non stop.
He crawled away and found a young boy “ young man please come here” he said waving him to come closer. “Are you ok mister?” The boy said rushing over.” Please help me protect this” as he pulled out a necklace with a ring on it.
“Please tell me your name boy” the man said while his hand shook nonstop. “ my name is Cazlid” the boy said checking his wounds.” It’s fine Cazlid I’m gonna die don’t worry about me” he said with a light smile.

“It’s not fine we need to get you help” Cazlid said looking around. “ listen I need you to protect this no matter what” he said putting the necklace in my hand. As a swarm of people came they dragged his body off the boy followed them. Cazlid saw the people who he thought were good were looting the man.
Caz began to try and run and was caught by a guard “what are you doing here Cazlid” the guard said while holding Caz in the air. “ I wanted to see that man because he was hurt” Caz said while trying to get out of his grip. “ I’ll let you go this time Caz don’t come here again” the guard said with annoyance.
Later that day Caz rushed to see the one person he could trust the head knight Mal. “Mal where are you” Caz said as he rushed in Mal’s house. “Huh what’s wrong Caz” Mal said with a look of consern. “ a man was hurt he gave me a necklace and his body was looted by the villager’s” caz said pulling out the necklace.
Mal became silent and stood up “ so that was where that went” Mal said clenching his fist. “ what do you mean” Caz said slowly backing away. As Mal’s fist hit the ground “give me the necklace” Mal said in a cold tone. Caz ran out the door “Cazlid has the necklace hurry and stop him” Mal shouted through his door.
As Caz was running a mob formed chasing him. Caz had one way to go as he ran he went into the forest. The mob stopped chasing him and began to scream “get back here you brat!” “Do you want to die!” all Caz could do was keep running.
After a day of running he stopped in the middle of the forest and began crying. “I couldn’t do anything but I still have the necklace” Caz said still crying.
After a few minutes Caz began to build a tent and tools all of them fell apart pretty easily. After a few hours he had a place to sleep but he wouldn’t get to use it “hey Cazlid where are you” a unknown voice yelled. Caz had one thought they sent the travelers after me. Caz ran and hid in his tent soon after screams and whaling began to ring in his head.
After a bit as the sounds quieted down he took a look out side to see. The forest covered in blood. Everyone that was sent after him was killed each more gruesome then the last. Caz decided to stay in the forest and keep the ring safe.
~present~
~Cazlid POV~
I began to slur as I saw the exit that broke me out of my daze “Doran look I can see the exit” I said running to it “calm down there I want to say something to you” Doran said looking at me with sadness. “ thank you Caz if it weren’t for you i would have been taken by those people and done terrible things” he still looked sad but grateful.
“Don’t worry let’s get out of here” I said pulling his arm with a smile. And I saw him smile a real genuine smile.
As we stepped out we saw the sun with clouds and birds flying. As we stepped out I felt as if all of my freedom was back. After being stuck in that forest for 3 years I felt like I was free and it’s all thanks to Doran.

Economicalopoly
Humanity had gotten this far. How far, might you be wondering? Quite far indeed. The world had effectively become an ecumenopolis, almost; not in real life at least, in Economicalopoly of course! More on that later, in our story the main character is Charlie. Charlie was an exceptionally talented young man, the key word being 'was'. He was an incredibly unmotivated individual who generally steered clear from other 'Homo sapiens' as he put it. This was all because of an accident he had early on in life, when he was but 15 years old.
