Two weeks had passed since events occurred.

Naa had been allowed back to her job after some questioning due to the fact that she had shot a civilian, as soon as she came back, she put in all her effort into going after the phantom who was out every night since that event, acting even more violently and brutally than before which only served to strengthen her conviction.

Among the trio of friends, the only one who seemed to enjoy the past two weeks was Michelle. Michelle had started work once more, after days of convincing her father. She was now stuck with body guards despite her endless protest to her father, but things were looking up for her as she had gone on a few more dates with him and found herself enjoying his company.

“Sorry I’m late”, Michelle spoke with panted breaths as she arrived before Major. “No worries” Major spoke as he stood to welcome her. “I had to ditch my two tails” “Ah I was beginning to wonder where your friends were” Major spoke in a teasing tone causing Michelle to chuckle as they began to walk off.

“I don’t know why my dad can’t understand that I don’t need any guards” Michelle told Major about her problems as they began walking through the park. “He is probably just worried you know” Major spoke, “now you’re on his side” Michelle quirked her brow at Major with a smile on her face, “I’m just saying it wasn’t long ago some guy tried to assassinate to you”.

“Okay, that’s enough about me. I’ve known you for two weeks and I barely know anything about you.” Michelle spoke diverting the topic away from herself, Major easily saw this but said nothing about it going along with her. “So, what do you want to know about me?” Major questioned, “a lot, your parents? do you have any siblings? What job do you do?” Michelle spat out question after question in a rapid manner.

Major came to halt for a moment as though he was deep in thought before turning to face her, “well I actually don’t know anything about my parents, seeing as I was raised in an orphanage. I don’t think I have any siblings and for my job, I am a teacher.”

“A teacher?”

“yeah”

“I wouldn’t have pegged you for a teacher.”

“Why does everyone have that same reaction when I say I’m a teacher?” Michelle burst out into laughter after hearing Majors words. “Is it really that funny?” Major questioned as he burst into laughter himself, “okay come on seriously, why is it so hard to believe I am a teacher?” “I can’t put my finger on it, but when I look at your face and imagine you as a teacher the image that pops in my head has me cracking up.” The two continued to laugh for a few more minutes.

“So, who do you teach? Elementary school or?” Michelle questioned after finally calming down, “Senior high school actually, Lakeside city high to be specific”. “No way” Michelle uttered in disbelief, “wait what subject do you teach?” “Social studies” “hmm now that I believe” Major turned to her, this time it was his turn to be in disbelief.

“Imagine if you were a math teacher” “okay now I understand”, the two continued to exchange words with sounds of laughter escaping their mouths regularly and their smiles never leaving their face. Their conversation was soon cut short by Michelle’s body guards finding them, “come on hold on, let’s go” Major spoke as he grabbed her hand with both of them running from their guards.

In another part of the city, the revving sounds of engines could be heard as six cars sped through the streets. The Mercedes in the lead made a sharp turn unto another street living skid marks on the streets with the five others following right after. The cars soon came to a halt as the entered a warehouse, the warehouse lit up as the cars lined up.

The boot of the cars popped open as the engines became silent, a group of people moved out from the shadows and to pick up the cannisters placed in the boots. Above them all Jessica stood with her mask on watching everything that took place below with a smile on her face under the mask. The operation below was completed in but another minute with all the cannister loaded and moved away and the boots close.

Seeing everyone disappear the drives turned their engines back on and drove off in separate directions.

Michelle was soon brought over to a small diner, “Auntie Akos, you here?” Major called out as the two of them stepped into the diner. An older lady walked out from the back, “Major is that you?” “Hello auntie” Major called out as Akos pulled him into a hug before turning to Michelle, “and who is this lovely lady?”

Akos asked Major with a gentle smile on his face, Major proceeded to introduce Michelle “Michelle this is Auntie Akos, Auntie Akos this is Michelle” Michelle nodded looking to the older lady with a respectful look. “Hello ma’am”

“ma’am? There is no need for that dear. Call me Auntie Akos, okay now let me get the two of you something to eat” Auntie Akos spoke as she headed back into the backroom. “Well, she seems nice” Michelle spoke to Major as they took a seat at the table, “Auntie Akos has always been like family also she makes the best jollof you’ve ever had”

Michelle broke out in laughter after hearing the last bit, “alright we’ll see about that”.
