《Phantom Year one》An Old Acquaintance

In Lakeside police department, Naa’s office;
Naa was looking over pictures from her most recent crime scene, before going through his files trying to see if she could find anything that would at least give a clue as to was responsible for this. As she continued through the files, she came to a halt noticing something.
Samuel co owned a property which on it’s own would not be anything strange but considering the fact that one if its owners was Ronald walker who died recently and left her with her suspicions alongside a few people who have gone missing and the other owners hiding their identities. Now all this could just be her being paranoid from all the stress but the building in mention was definitely not worth enough for this many people to be invested in it.
With those thoughts in her head Naa stood from her desk and decided to pay said building a visit.
At the Building;
The phantom had arrived at the building, the building was an old abandoned building which had tags all over its walls. As the phantom made his way through the building it strengthened his suspicions about the place.
Treading carefully the phantom made his way to higher floors, the phantom soon arrived at a floor which unlike the others in this building was unusually clean. The phantom made his way to what looked like a conference room with a long table and countless chairs around said table. The phantom moved to touch the table when a voice resounded from behind him.
“I was wondering when you would show up?” The phantom fired a throwing knife as he turned around, but the owner of the voice caught the knife before it could make contact with her. “hahaha you’re still using these, don’t, I was thinking you and I could have a conversation before… you know we do what we have to” the woman continued as she saw the phantom enter a battle stance.

The masked lady tilted her head seeing that the phantom wasn’t charging at her, “I’ll be honest, when he first told me about you. I thought nothing of you.” She proceeded to toy with the knife in her hand, “but then we met that night, and I couldn’t believe my eyes” Phantom just continued to stare at the woman before him, remembering that uneasy feeling of familiarity when they last fought.
“You know for years I actually thought you were dead, but I should have known all this while. It will take a lot more to kill you… isn’t that right Hank” Hank’s eyes widened behind the mask as the woman before him mentioned his name, confirming that the feeling he had felt wasn’t just his mind that the woman before him was truly someone he knew.
“who the-“ “or would you prefer Justin” the woman cut him off in a patronizing tone, with the name Justin, at the mention of his name Hank fell back into memory.
Flashback
A younger hank was in tatters and completely dehydrated as he alongside a group of other children were led into a mountain. The inside of the mountain revealed a secret pace, two men in all black combat suits stood guard.
“Welcome to the house of Thanatos” the man who led the people spoke up before leading them to a clearing in which other people were huddled together, “get to know one another for if you survive, you will spend the rest of your lives together” with those words said Hank’s group was added to the other people.
Hank who had now taken a seat among the rest was approached by a lady “hey my name is Jessica, what about you?” Hank took a long hard at Jessica before taking her hand, “I’m Justin”

Flashback end
“Jessica?!” Phantom exclaimed shocked as he finally realized who it was stood before, “and reunion is over” *bang* a gunshot was heard. “you were always sentimental” Jessica’s voice was resounded as Hank held his abdomen as he bled from the gunshot wound.
Looking up Hank saw Jessica aiming the gun at him and rolled away just in time to avoid the rain of gunfire. Hank tried to fight back as he made this way out of the building, “Hank you are not getting away from me this time” Jessica exclaimed as she pulled out her sword and attempted to cut down Hank who fought back with an arm over his wound.
At this point Naa had arrived before the building and heard the gunshots, she made a call for back up before pulling out her gun and running into the building. Hank avoided a swing from Jessica’s blade, just in time as Naa burst in “freeze”. Jessica responded by throwing a knife at her and taking cover behind a pillar.
Hank taking advantage of this jumped out and escaped.
The two ladies continued their battle as Jessica took cover behind pillars and launched shuriken at her, this exchange continued for a few minutes when Jessica heard the faint sounds of sirens growing louder as they drew closer.
“These has been fun but I really must go” Jessica spoke as she pulled out a device and pressed on a button. Beeping sounds made their way into Naa’s ears, looking to her side she saw the source and had her eyes widen in realization as she made her way out of the building which burst into flames alongside the explosion.
At Thompson enterprises;
Ferdinand whistled as he made his way to his car but screamed as he saw a bloodied Phantom before him. “Help me” the phantom barely managed to utter those words before falling before Ferdinand.
“Oh my god!” Ferdinand exclaimed.
A bit farther from the building which had caught fire and was now surrounded by the police, Jessica pulled out her phone and made a call, “it is done”.

Badass
At the end of everything, Taylor Hebert realized something. She didn't want to be a superhero. No, she wanted to be a badass. And then her prayers were answered. Imbued with the power of mimetic badassery and the ability to channel a different real-life badass every week, she set out in search for all the best things in life - well, according to Conan, at least. Modeling herself after Conan have been a mistake. Join her on her high-octane, pulp-fiction journey for vengeance, adventure, victory and mayhem. This isn't just uncensored. It's anti-censored! =========================== (Worm/Fate/Badass of the Week) Warning: crack-taken-seriously, over-the-top pulp-fiction style violence, overpowered protagonist, banned on two other sites. Hell, even the light-hearted omake jokes in this were considered too subversive to persist. ============================ AN: There’s this really, really excellent website called Badass of the Week. I’ve wasted many an hour browsing through, marveling at all the crazy shit some humans are capable of. Check it out, then come back and read this in a few days when the awesome starts to wear off. It’s worth it (all 576 entries). Back? Good! Anyways, I was looking through it recently while thinking about who I wanted to make expy’s of for my The Flying Dutchman quest ship captains (which now languishes in indefinite hiatus), and I had this idea. What if Taylor, wanting to be a badass, triggered with the power to be a different Badass every week? With a bit of Fate-style ability to draw on the tools associated with the legend (but to a just marginally less ridiculous degree), and a drive and aura to be and do badass? And thus, Badass was born in it’s somewhat cracky glory. Enjoy.

You Only Smol Twice: A Smol Detective Story
This is a fanfic set in the universe of They Are Smol, a delightful series of stories by TinyPrancingHorse which you should totally go and read. It’s the third in my own series about a human investigator in a galaxy full of aliens who are much bigger and stronger than any human. Obviously, there are plenty of spoilers for the previous two stories in here so consider yourself warned. After many successful investigations, Oscar Williams has his loyalty to his adopted alien family sorely tested. What appears to be a simple theft turns out to be anything but, and to capture the perpetrators Oscar might just have to betray his own species… Formal Disclaimer: I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only TinyPrancingHorse TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a website should you require more Smol Shenanigans in your life. Which you do, so get over there and read it. The cover art for this is courtesy of Firebane.

The Blackgloom Bounty
In the dark days before the end of the first millennium, Scotland (or Scotia as some called it) was a leaderless hodgepodge of tribes, clans and warring factions all bent on the same thing--domination of the land. Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. To the south of Scotia lay the realm of the Saxons ruled by Ethelred the Unready and his ruthless minions. To the west, Ireland had just come of age. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you.When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet! This volume and the next two contain hundreds of pages filled with rollicking good times, fast moving action and a page turning adventure you will not soon forget."Books In The Scythian Stone Saga:THE BLACKGLOOM BOUNTY Episode 1 - 500 pagesTHE REGENTS OF RHUM Episode 2 - 800 pagesTHE SCIONS OF SCOTIA Episode 3 - 800 pages
